Linear, diatomic crystal: single-electron states and large-radius excitons
The large-radius exciton spectrum in a linear crystal with two atoms in the
unit cell was obtained using the single-electron eigenfunctions and the band
structure, which were found by the zero-range potential (ZRP) method. The
ground-state exciton binding energies for the crystal in vacuum appeared to be
larger than the corresponding energy gaps for any set of the crystal
parameters.Comment: 9 pages, 1 figure, 1 tabl

Abstract
It has been proved that arterial hypertension is not associated exclusively with an increase in vascular tone but also with a complex of pathological processes that results in cardiovascular pathology and lesions of the target organs. The central and peripheral contours of blood pressure regulation are well studied. Nevertheless, despite the presence of two regulatory contours the key structure that integrates and controls their function is the hypothalamus, in particular its arcuate nucleus. It is proved that the effectiveness of blood pressure regulation depends on those neuromodulators and neurohormones that are synthesized in the hypothalamus or transported to it. The most important neurohormones in the regulation of arterial blood presssure are brain natriuretic peptide, β-endorphin, neurotensin and angiotensin II. Equally important factor is the functional state of arcuate nucleus neurons, which depends on adequate blood supply, innervation and inter-neuronal relationships. The link between the above described processes is nitrogen monoxide system (NOS) and its universal messenger – nitric oxide NO.
The purpose of the work was to determine the nature of the balance of pressor (angiotensin II and neurotensin) and depressor (brain natriuretic peptide and β-endorphin) neurohormones in the neurons of the arcuate nucleus of the hypothalamus and the ratio of NOS isoforms with hypertension of different etiology.
Materials and methods. The studies were conducted on 32 mature male Wistar rats and 16 male spontaneously hypertensive rats. To study the content of neuropeptides and NOS enzyme isoforms, an immunohistochemical method was used, followed by digital image processing by Image J. The results that were obtained were calculated using the "Statistica 11.0" program.
Conclusions
1. The same changes of neuropeptides’ content in hypothalamic arcuate nucleus are observed in the rats with arterial hypertension which are characterized by a decrease in the brain natriuretic peptide, β-endorphin and angiotensin II content with a significant increase in neurotensin content regardless of arterial hypertension etiology and pathogenesis. The peculiarities of the balance between depressor and pressor substances depend on the etiopathogenetic mechanisms – with the endocrine-salt model of arterial hypertension there is a significant predominance of depressor neuropeptides (in 4.3 times) whereas in essential hypertension this balance is similar to the control.
2. The changes of the NOS isoform ratio in the arcuate nucleus of hypothalamus are unidirectional, both with endocrine-salt model of arterial hypertension and essential hypertension – the content of eNOS decreases while nNOS and iNOS content increases.

Diffraction radiation from a screen of finite conductivity
An exact solution has been found for the problem of diffraction radiation
appearing when a charged particle moves perpendicularly to a thin finite screen
having arbitrary conductivity and frequency dispersion. Expressions describing
the Diffraction and Cherenkov emission mechanisms have been obtained for the
spectral-angular forward and backward radiation densities.Comment: 6 pages, 4 figure
Biodistribution Studies of a New Antitumor Compound Based on Nanoporous Nanodiamond Composite Labeled with Rhenium-188
This study evaluated a new drug delivery system for local radiotherapy on the base of nanoporous nanodiamond composites (NDC) labeled with β-emitting radionuclide rhenium-188. The biodistribution of labeled compound was assessed after intratumoral (i.t.) and intramuscular (i.m.) injection. 24 mice-bearing solid Ehrlich carcinoma xenografts received i.t. injections of 0.370 ± 0.074 MBq 188Re-nanoporous diamond composites. Another 24 intact mice were injected with the same preparation intramuscularly. The samples of different organs and tissues were collected for gamma count. After i.t. and i.m. administration of 188Re-nanoporous NDC a considerable amount of radioactivity retained at the site of injection. In tumor tissue the total amount of activity decreased from 92.68 % to 9.63 % of injected dose (ID) throughout the study. The removal of injected activity from muscular tissue was faster as compared with tumor tissue, and declined from 81.06 % to 8.40 % ID for up to 72 h. Therefore, after i.m. injection the accumulation of radioactivity in healthy organs and tissues was slightly higher than after i.t. injection. In conclusion, it was demonstrated that 188Renanoporous diamond composites had the potential radiotherapeutic significance.

The thesis for a Candidate of Law Degree in the Specialty 12.00.12 -

The thesis is devoted to the nature, structure, functions of the legal myths, to
their place in the legal reality, as well as to the myth-making process, which are
inherent for the contemporary society.
Author proves that comprehending of the legal myth should not be based
on its evaluation as negative phenomenon, which deforms reality. The thesis
includes the understanding of the legal myth as special phenomenon, which
exists at the rational and irrational levels of legal consciousness; in reflected
form it also exists in legal texts, expressing legal values and legal anti-values and legitimating legal phenomena, institutions and processes. Authors shows the
features of legal myth, such as dogmatisme, sociality, intemporality. functionality,
irrationality, energeticness. plurality.
The place of legal myth in legal reality is also shown. In particular, authors
highlights the specifics of the myths of legal consciousness and of positive
law. It is proved that jurisprudence should avoid the usage of myth, as they
are not the scientific knowledge. The myth-making function of legal thought is
highlighted
