    Networks intrusion detection systems allow to detect attacks which cannot be detected by firewalls The false positive and false negative problem tend to make IDS inefficient To improve those systems performances it is necessary to select the most relevant that will lead to characterize a normal profile or an attack We have proposed in this paper a new intrusion detection system architecture and a scheme to flexibly select groups of attributes using neural networks in order to improve results that we have got with our architecture The selection approach is based on a contribution criteria that we have defined in function of precision measures of type HVS Heuristic for Variable Selection The selected subset depends on a threshold that we make vary in function of a defined criteria He have done a comparative study of this approach and the one without attributes selection A comparative study has also been done with others works The NSL-KDD dataset has been used to train teste and evaluate our scheme Our Works shows satisfactory result

    Insect pests’ incidence and variations due to forest landscape degradation in the humid forest zone of Southern Cameroon: farmers’ perception and need for adopting an integrated pest management strategy

    Group surveys were conducted in five villages in each of the three resource-use zones of the humid forest zone of Southern Cameroon, to assess insect pests’ incidence and the variation due to forest landscape degradation in the agricultural production systems. 389 farmers were interviewed. The results show that: (1) In annual crop systems, insect pests in general rank together with vertebrate pests and diseases amongst the most important agronomic constraints. No differences were found between the intensification zones, except for weeds, which appeared to be a greater constraint in the slightly degraded area. Within the insect pest, the greatest damage to crops according to farmers originated from borers and scales, followed by variegated grasshopper. Only the termites showed a difference between zones - the problem being greatest in the high-degraded areas. (2) In the young perennial crop systems, all the categories of agronomic constraints were equally important. Within the insect pest, mirids were identified as the greatest constraint, followed by borers and caterpillars. There were more variations in the responses according to zones compared to annual crops. Termites and scales were relatively more important in the high-degraded area. In term of control strategy, we recommended an integrated pest management.Keywords: Farmers, pest, insect, annual crop, perennial crop, integrated pest managemen

    Nouvelle approche de réduction des pertes dans les réseaux OBS

    L'explosion du trafic IP et les demandes en bande passante de plus en plus croissantes au cours des dernières années ont dirigé la recherche vers l'élaboration de nouvelles architectures et protocoles réseaux. La satisfaction des besoins en bande passante et en qualité de service passera par l'adoption des réseaux « tout-optique » (IP sur WDM) et des techniques de commutation efficaces. Trois techniques de commutation ont largement été étudiées. La commutation de circuit aussi connue sous le nom de routage de longueur d'onde n'utilise la largeur de bande de façon efficace que si la durée de la transmission est beaucoup plus longue que la période d'établissement des circuits. La commutation de paquet optique est plus flexible et offre une meilleure utilisation de la bande passante. Toutefois, les technologies de mise en mémoire (utilisation des tampons) et de traitement des paquets dans le domaine optique ne sont pas assez mûres pour la commercialisation. Dans ce contexte, la commutation de rafale optique (OBS) est devenue un nouveau paradigme de commutation. Elle est censée fournir un transport de données à haut débit, de manière flexible, efficace et réalisable. OBS est une technique hybride de la commutation de circuit optique et de la commutation de paquet optique, qui combine leurs avantages tout en surmontant certaines de leurs limites. La commutation de rafale optique exige moins de complexité technologique que celle de la commutation de paquet optique. Toutefois, contrairement aux réseaux optiques à commutation de circuit, les réseaux OBS souffrent des pertes des données. Ces pertes sont non seulement dues aux contentions et à l'insuffisance de l' « offset-time » mais également à l'échec de transmission des informations de routage. Dans ce mémoire, nous étudions les pertes dues à la non transmission des informations de contrôle. Les résultats obtenus montrent que les techniques proposées offrent de meilleures performances. Le bon choix du nombre de canaux de contrôle/canaux de données permet de réduire le taux de perte dû à la congestion dans les canaux de contrôle.
