It is observed that new media technologies, which are structured for the elimination of consumer demands, are frequently used in the field of marketing and the marketing strategies of the companies are changed to mobile marketing in order to be able to reach to the consumer quickly and easily. In the light of today's technology, smart mobile phones make life easier and become an indispensable element of our life. In this context, the consumer is preferred because of the low cost and efficiency of reaching via mobile message. Position based marketing, which is one of the mobile marketing channels, confronts the consumer as a marketing method that changes the consumption habits of the consumer and places the perception of "you are almost me" in the direction of the network-location information. The study aims to measure the attitudes and behaviors of individuals towards location based marketing messages in the context of location based marketing which is one of the mobile marketing channels. It is thought that the research will be a reference to the way in which location-based marketing strategies affect shopping attitudes

Goji berry, also known as wolfberry, is a plant that grows in the Asian region. It is a red-orange elliptical fruit with a sweet, sour taste due to the presence of phenolic compounds. Recently, goji berry is becoming more and more popular because of the health benefits of bioactive ingredients. The present study aims to determine infusion parameters for producing functional beverages rich in bioactive components and suitable for consumption with maximum benefit to human health. In this context, the response surface methodology (RSM) was used for experimental design. Three independent variables were determined, which are temperature (75ndash%253B95 deg%253BC), time (5ndash%253B15 min), and mass (2ndash%253B5 g), to optimize the desired quality characteristics in goji berry teas and to evaluate the interactions of the independent variables. The three-variable experimental design was implemented 6 replications in the center point, resulting in 20 total trial patterns. The total phenolic content, total flavonoid content, antioxidant activity, anthocyanin content, and condensed tannin content of the samples were determined. For optimization, it is aimed that goji berry infusions have the values of maximum total phenolic content, total flavonoid content, antioxidant activity, anthocyanin content, and condensed tannin content. As a result of the analysis of variance (ANOVA), a meaningful model for total anthocyanin content, total flavonoid content, condensed tannin content, and phenolic content values could not be established (plt%253B0.05), but statistically significant model was obtained for DPPH (plt%253B0.05). Temperature and mass were found to be statistically significant (plt%253B0.05) on DPPH. Depending on the levels of the selected quality characteristics, the parameters that will provide an optimum formulation of goji berry infusions were suggested as 85.77deg%253BC, 5 min., and 5 g, according to the desirability function (0.634). Thus, the parameters of antioxidant capacity, total phenolic substance, total anthocyanin, total flavonoid, and total condensed tannin content were determined to maximize bioactive substances and be beneficial for consumer health

In this study, the applicability of pressure retarded osmosis power generation was investigated in order to meet the electricity demand in Turkey. Pressure retarded osmosis (PRO) is a method that converting salinity gradients to power using a semi-permeable membrane against an applied pressure and PRO is one of the promising candidates to reduce fossil fuel dependency. In PRO, water is transported from a low concentrated feed solution to a high-concentrated draw solution. According to the literature findings, in order to produce 1MW of electricity 1m3/s fresh water flow is needed. Turkey is surrounded on three sides by water and has a big potential to develop this technology. Riva River is investigated in the scope this study. Currently Turkey’s total installed power capacity reached 85.200 MW at the end of 2017.Calculations of PRO power generation reveals that it is possible to generate 25,45 MW, If using 5% of total river flow

Hereditary angioedema (HAE) is a primary complement factor deficiency, characterized by recurrent submucosal/subcutaneous swelling episodes. SERPING1 gene defects encoding C1 esterase inhibitor (C1INH) are responsible from the disease. Fifteen patients with HAE are retrospectively evaluated in this study. All patients (n = 15) had HAE type I, 13 were from the same family, other two from two different families. Median age at onset of symptoms was 7 years (2-20); median age on diagnosis, 12 (0,5-41) and median delay in diagnosis, 3 years (0-33). Clinical symptoms were extremity edema(92,3%), facial edema(46%), abdominal pain (46%), genital edema (46%), and laryngeal edema (23%). Some patients suffered from recurrent abdominal pain, had been empirically given colchicine with familial mediterranean fever (FMF) when they admitted. One presented with bullous skin eruption, soon after developed extremity edema. Both resolved spontaneously after C1INH concentrate therapy. Two females suffered from recurrent genital edema after sexual activity. One patient experienced compartment syndrome-like swelling of extremity after playing football. One patient diagnosed with panic attack due to fear of death by asphyxiation, and was diagnosed with HAE disease. A nonsense mutation in exon 8, a missense mutation in exon 2 in SERPING1 gene was present in Family 1 and another patient (P14) from the other family, respectively. Sporadic/ autosomal dominant inheritance ratio was 2/3 in the families present in our series. Patients with HAE presents with a large spectrum of symptoms. In mediterranean countries, patients with abdominal attacks may be misdiagnosed with FMF. Thus, health-care professionals should be alert, and put HAE in the first line of differential diagnoses when the disease symptoms are present. Consequently, morbidity/mortality will decrease with effective treatment options
