Advance development in Dual Mass Flywheel

    Get PDF
The growing concerns for the environment and the adoption of more stringent regulations have marked the development of new engines technologies. This result in the development of more efficient engines and also allowed to deliver more torque and power at low revolutions in these engines. However, this caused an increase in the level of vibration. The traditional clutch discs are unable to absorb such vibrations. This is where the Dual Mass Flywheels play a key role. In the present study the focus is on development of new flywheel for two stroke engine system using helical springs and multi-mass system to improve inertia of flywheel and to improve the engine efficiency. The aim of this project is to do the comparative analysis of spring mass flywheel Vs Conventional flywheel. This includes fabrication of a prototype, design of prototype components, analysis testing of prototype at different speed and load, modification in prototype if required. It is observed that multi mass flywheel system improves power output and fuel efficiency of the two stroke engine

Bilateral absence of fallopian tube segments: an uncommon condition

    Get PDF
Congenital abnormalities of fallopian tube are rare among the abnormalities of female urogenital system. Bilateral absence of fallopian tube segments is an extremely uncommon condition. The authors report one such rare case diagnosed during diagnostic laparoscopy during evaluation of infertility. On one side, it was completely absent; while on the other side, it was partially absent simulating a formal tubal ligation. To the best of authors knowledge, this is an extremely unusual condition with very few reports available in literature

    Pharmaceutical study of Kasisa Satva

Satvapatana and use of Satvabhasma is neglected part not practiced like other therapeutic process like Bhasmas, Parpati and Sindurakalpana etc. now days we get all Dhatu in its pure form but those metals are not extracted as therapeutically active material. Those metals are extracted by using metallurgical methods like leaching, electro wining etc. These methods are not aimed at therapeutically active agent. Basic principle in Rasashastra is to make Asatmya, toxic metal into Sharira Satmya Dravya for that from Shodhana to Marana process, we use all organic Sharira Satmya Dravyas to convert them nonpoisonous, therapeutically active, easily absorbable medicine. These principals are not involved in contemporary extraction methods. This is major difference in metallurgical extracted metal and metals extracted in satvapatana process. Rasa Granthas have mentioned that Satvas are purer, more potent, so here an attempt is done to study the pharmaceutical process of Satvapatna

Surgical challenges in unusual fibroids - a case series

    Get PDF
Uterine leiomyoma are benign monoclonal tumours arising from smooth muscle tissue. There are different types of fibroids depending on the location of fibroid. There are various operative challenges in long standing huge fibroids on abnormal location. Surgical difficulties associated with these cases are due to poor access to the operative field, distorted anatomy, difficulty in suturing the repairs, increased blood loss. It is an art and skill to surgically remove these difficult fibroids and do difficult hysterectomies. Here we present case series of 7 cases, we have described variety of fibroid at different ages, presentations, precautions and also surgical challenges and the steps to overcome them successfully. Case 1- cervical fibroid, case 2- submucosal fibroid polyp, case 3- Bulky uterus with fundal fibroid during vaginal hysterectomy, case 4- broad ligament fibroid, case 5- multiple fibroids, case 6- multiple subserosal fibroids during caesarean section, and case 7- giant fibroid. Different types of fibroids are tackled in different ways. So, fibroid mapping by imaging studies and also ureteric stenting preoperatively whenever needed, helps to prevent untoward injuries. Following principles of surgery in any difficult fibroids leads to successful management and also helps to prevent injuries to the urinary tract and avoiding intra operative blood loss

Effects of Various Dentofacial Orthopedic and Orthognathic Treatment Modalities on Pharyngeal Airway

    Get PDF
The function of respiration is highly relevant to orthodontic diagnosis and treatment planning. Significant relationships between pharyngeal, craniofacial as well as dentofacial structures have been reported in several studies. Many authors have emphasized that mouth breathing is concomitantly associated with constricted airway causing obstructive sleep apnoea. Associated symptoms can be cured with correction of either skeletal or dental problems or both. Therefore it would be very intriguing to understand and interpret the airway during diagnosis and treatment planning for a clear view of changes in the airway dimensions during the course of orthodontic treatment using various treatment modalities. Therefore a complete understanding of the concept of airway should be considered as an important one. This chapter gives us an insight to the intricate detailing on how the various orthodontic and dentofacial orthopedic treatment signifies the changes in the dimensions of pharyngeal airway

Women Safety Night Patrolling Robot Using IOT

    Get PDF
India's greatest threat is the safety of its women. Women do not feel safe in a variety of situations. This needs to be addressed as quickly as feasible. Technology evolves and develops on a daily basis, affecting how people live. As a result, the focus of this article is on modernising the technological framework in order to strengthen women's safety mechanisms. We introduce a new security method in this study to protect women during unusual behaviours. A new security technique based on a patrolling robot using the Raspberry Pi has been proposed. In this case, a night vision camera can be employed to secure any location. Various machine learning methods are applied to improve the classifier's accuracy. The findings suggest that the suggested method outperforms existing methods

In vitro hypoglycemic effects of unripe and ripe fruits of Musa sapientum

    Get PDF
The present study was undertaken to verify the hypoglycemic potential of unripe and ripe fruit extracts of Musa sapientum by using various in-vitro techniques, namely glucose adsorption capacity, glucose diffusion, amylolysis kinetics and glucose transport across the yeast cells. The results revealed that the unripe and ripe fruit extracts of Musa sapientum adsorbed glucose and the adsorption of glucose increased remarkably with an increase in glucose concentration. There were no significant (p≀0.05) differences between their adsorption capacities. In the amylolysis kinetic experimental model the rate of glucose diffusion was found to be increased with time from 30 to 180 min and both extracts exhibited significant inhibitory effects on the movement of glucose into external solution across the dialysis membrane as compared to control. The plant extracts also promoted glucose uptake by the yeast cells and enhancement of glucose uptake was dependent on both the sample and glucose concentration. The hypoglycemic effect exhibited by the extracts was observed to be mediated by inhibiting α-amylase, inhibiting glucose diffusion by adsorbing glucose and by increasing glucose transport across the cell membranes as revealed by an in-vitro model of yeast cells
