Spectrum of Two-Magnon non-Heisenberg Ferromagnetic Model of Arbitrary Spin with Impurity
We consider a two-magnon system in the isotropic non-Heisenberg ferromagnetic model of an arbitrary spin s on a n-dimensional lattice Zⁿ. We establish that the essential spectrum of the system consists of the union of at most four intervals. We obtain lower and upper estimates for the number of three-particle bound states, i.e., for the number of points of discrete spectrum of the system.
Improved cotton fences for a sustainable approach to cotton cleaning
The article presents the results of research on the improvement of the grate to improve the efficiency of cleaning cotton gins from major contaminants. To achieve the goals of increasing efficiency, the existing technologies for cleaning raw cotton and the equipment used were analyzed. In the studies, industrial varieties of raw cotton, the most common in the region, were chosen as raw materials. Cotton I-technical grade was used with a soiling level of 6.6% and a moisture content of 8.2%. By attaching the cotton wool to the saw drum, one can increase the distance between the posts by increasing the distance between the strings by moving the first post down a distance L to make sure it also goes to the lower drum of the saw in the access path. In the experiments, the distance between the first column and the second column was set equal to 40 mm, 50 mm, 60 mm and 70 mm, and the distribution of sawdust in the drums was studied taking into account the amount of cotton transported. The main attention during the experimental studies was directed to the location of the grates relative to the saw cylinder and the distance between the grates. For experimental studies, laboratory equipment was manufactured and carried out in the conditions of the Joint-Stock Company “Scientific Center of the Cotton Industry”. As a result, with the improvement of the location of the grate on the grate, the cleaning efficiency was 42.6%, and the number of pieces of cotton in the waste was 5.2%, as indicated in the technological description of the unit, the number of grates increased by one unit
Study of the energy spectrum of primary cosmic rays: EAS size fluctuations at a fixed primary energy
During the initial period of the Samarkand EAS array operations the showers were selected on the basis of charged-particle flux density, and during the subsequent periods the showers were selected on the basis of Cerenkov light flux density. This procedure made it possible to measure the shower energy, to estimate the EAS size fluctuations at a fixed primary energy, and to experimentally obtain the scaling factor K(Ne, Eo) from the EAS size spectrum to the primary energy spectrum. Six scintillators of area S = 2 sq m each were added to the array. The fluctuations of EAS sizes in the showers of fixed primary energies and the scaling factors K(Ne, Eo) were inferred from the data obtained. The showers with zenith angles 30 deg were selected. The EAS axis positions were inferred from the amplitude data of the scintillators. The primary energy Eo was determined by the method of least squares for the known EAS axis position using the data of the Cerenkov detector located at 80 to 150 m EAS axis. It is shown that the Cerenkov light flux fluctuations at 100 m from EAS axis, q sub 100, do not exceed 10% at a fixed EAS energy, so the parameter q sub 100 may be used to estimate the EAS-generating primary particle-energy

Antibodies to myofibril antigens in cosmonauts after spaceflights
Serum samples obtained from 15 astronauts before and after spaceflights were studied with the use of the indirect immunofluorescent method. In seven astronauts antibodies to different elements of the human heart muscle appeared after flights. Strong and very strong luminescence of the elements of heart muscle tissue was detected in the astronauts after the third space flight. In a study of the sera on sections of bovine heart muscle tissue the reactions of the sera taken before and after flight were found to show no essential differences
On the determination of the depth of EAS development maximum using the lateral distribution of Cerenkov light at distances 150 m from EAS axis
The Samarkand extensive air showers (EAS) array was used to measure the mean and individual lateral distribution functions (LDF) of EAS Cerenkov light. The analysis of the individual parameters b showed that the mean depth of EAS maximum and the variance of the depth distribution of maxima of EAS with energies of approx. 2x10 to the 15th power eV can properly be described in terms of Kaidalov-Martirosyan quark-gluon string model (QGSM)
A Tobacco Homolog of DCN1 is Involved in Cellular Reprogramming and in Developmental Transitions
Plant proteomes show remarkable plasticity in reaction to environmental challenges and during developmental transitions. Some of this adaptability comes from ubiquitin-mediated protein destruction regulated by cullin-RING E3 ubiquitin ligases (CRLs). CRLs are activated through modification of the cullin subunit with the ubiquitin-like protein RUB/NEDD8 by an E3 ligase called defective in cullin neddylation 1 (DCN1). Here we show that tobacco DCN1 binds ubiquitin and RUB/NEDD8, and associates with cullin. When knocked down by RNAi, tobacco pollen formation stopped and zygotic embryogenesis was blocked around the globular stage. Additionally, we found that RNAi of DCN1 inhibited the stress-triggered reprogramming of cultured microspores from their intrinsic gametophytic mode of development to an embryogenic state. This stress-induced developmental switch is a known feature in many important crops and leads ultimately to the formation of haploid embryos and plants. Compensating the RNAi effect by re-transformation with a promoter-silencing construct restored pollen development and zygotic embryogenesis, as well as the ability for stress-induced formation of embryogenic microspores. Overexpression of DCN1, however, accelerated pollen tube growth and increased the potential for microspore reprogramming. These results demonstrate that the biochemical function of DCN1 is conserved in plants and that its activity is specifically required for transitions during pollen development and embryogenesis, and for pollen tube tip growth
Pressure calculation in a roller pair
As a result of studies on force interaction in a roller pair, a calculation formula was obtained for the specific pressure in a roller pair, for the case when the material being processed is elastically viscous and the rollers are drive. Analysis of the calculation formula showed that the specific pressure in the roller pair depends on the geometric parameters of the material being processed and the roller coating, the viscosity coefficient of the material being processed, and the strain rates of contacting bodies. A formula was obtained to determine the value of the strain coefficient of the processed material under recovery, providing conditions for conjugating strains in the compression and recovery zones
