Didattica dell’ Attività Motoria nella Disabilità Sensoriale ed Intellettiva
The purpose of this work is to propose a working suggestion for all professional, that, within the school, meet people with sensory and intellectual disabilities on a daily basis. First, the characteristics of the different disabilities are illustrated, then the adapted activities are described. Activities adapted are, by definition inclusive, promote optimal living conditions and a good system of relationships. Through sport, in fact, people with disabilities could feel part of the community and its network of relationships. Nowadays everyone can practice sports, having the opportunity to try their hand in various disciplines. Sport is an important educational tool that, through targeted actions, becomes fundamental for emancipation and growth. This work was born out of the need to help children with intellectual and sensory disabilities in everyday life, through motor activity, setting as objectives the improvement of motor skills, attention, concentration, and of the basic motor schemes, the psychic, intellectual and sensory conditions, the strengthening of relationships with others, in particular with peers, the development of self-discovery and confidence in one’s own abilities and autonomy in daily activities.
Direct transition from quantum escape to phase diffusion regime in YBaCuO biepitaxial Josephson Junctions
Dissipation encodes interaction of a quantum system with the environment and
regulates the activation regimes of a Brownian particle. We have engineered
grain boundary biepitaxial YBaCuO junctions to drive a direct transition from
quantum activated running state to phase diffusion regime. The cross-over to
the quantum regime is tuned by the magnetic field and dissipation is encoded in
a fully consistent set of junction parameters. To unravel phase dynamics in
moderately damped systems is of general interest for advances in the
comprehension of retrapping phenomena and in view of quantum hybrid technology
Coherent transport in extremely underdoped Nd1.2Ba1.8Cu3Oz nanostructures
Proximity-effect and resistance magneto-fluctuations measurements in
submicron Nd1.2Ba1.8Cu3Oz (NBCO) nano-loops are reported to investigate
coherent charge transport in the non-superconducting state. We find an
unexpected inhibition of cooper pair transport, and a destruction of the
induced superconductivity, by lowering the temperature from 6K to 250mK. This
effect is accompanied by a significant change in the conductance-voltage
characteristics and in the zero bias conductance response to the magnetic field
pointing to the activation of a strong pair breaking mechanism at lower
temperature. The data are discussed in the framework of mesoscopic effects
specific to superconducting nanostructures, proximity effect and high
temperature superconductivity.Comment: to appear on new journal of Physic
The aim of this research work is to propose a special didactics offer that can also guaranteedisabled young people the opportunity to practice swimming. The sports system, and therefore also that of swimming activities, has the duty to pursue the goal of accessibilityto all, and it is clear how important it is to structure a sports didactics strategyaimed at the sports development of disabled children with consequent positive effectson social aspects, such as inclusion and increased self-esteem and autonomy. In this regard,we will analyze the experimentation inherent a field research carried out on a sampleof 18 disabled children, over a period of 10 weeks, in order to identify the mosteffective and efficient proposal for special sports didactics both in athletic and socialterms.

Relationship between heart rate recovery and inflammatory markers in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome: a cross-sectional study
<p>Abstract</p> <p>Background</p> <p>Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is an endocrine disease closely related to several risk factors for cardiovascular disease. An abnormal heart rate recovery (HRR), an easily-obtained measure derived from exercise stress test and closely related to an increased risk for cardiovascular mortality, has been recently described in PCOS women. A subclinical increase of the inflammation markers has been also observed in the PCOS. This study was designed to study the relationships between HRR and inflammatory markers in PCOS women.</p> <p>Methods</p> <p>Two-hundred forty-three young PCOS patients without known risk factors for cardiovascular risk were enrolled. All patients underwent hormonal and metabolic profile, white blood cells (WBCs) count and C-reactive protein (CRP). HRR was calculated as the difference between heart rate at peak exercise and heart rate at first minute of the cool-down period. Abnormal HRR was defined as ≤18 beats/min for standard exercise testing.</p> <p>Results</p> <p>Eighty-nine out of 243 patients presented abnormal HRR. Serum CRP (1.8 ± 0.7 vs. 1.1 ± 0.4 mg/dl, <it>p </it>< 0.001) and WBCs (7.3 ± 1.8 vs. 6.6 ± 1.5 109 cells/l, <it>p </it>< 0.001) concentrations were significantly higher in PCOS patients with abnormal <it>versus </it>normal HRR. HRR was significantly associated with both CRP (r = -0.33, <it>p </it>< 0.001) and WBCs (r = -0.29, <it>p </it>< 0.001), although in a stepwise multiple regression HRR resulted independently associated with CRP (beta = -0.151, p = 0.001) alone. In a logistic multivariate model, the group within the highest quartile of CRP (odds ratio 1.59, 95% CI 1.07–2.33) was more likely to have abnormal HRR than those within the lowest quartile.</p> <p>Conclusion</p> <p>Abnormal HRR and inflammatory markers are closely associated in PCOS women acting probably in concert to increase the cardiovascular risk profile of these patients.</p
