Testing a model of variability of X-ray reprocessing features in Active Galactic Nuclei

A number of recent results from X-ray observations of Active Galactic Nuclei involving the Fe K alpha line (reduction of line variability compared to the X-ray continuum variability, the X-ray ``Baldwin effect'') were attributed to a presence of a hot, ionized skin of an accretion disc, suppressing emission of the line. The ionized skin appears as a result of the thermal instability of X-ray irradiated plasma. We test this hypothesis by computing the Thomson thickness of the hot skin on top of the 'alpha P_tot' Shakura-Sunyaev disc, by simultaneously solving the vertical structure of both the hot skin and the disc. We then compute a number of relations between observable quantities, e.g. the hard X-ray flux, amplitude of the observed reprocessed component, relativistic smearing of the K alpha line, the r.m.s. variability of the hard X-rays. These relations can be compared to present and future observations. We point out that this mechanism is unlikely to explain the behaviour of the X-ray source in MCG-6-30-15, where there is a number of arguments against the existence of a thick hot skin, but it can work for some other Seyfert 1 galaxies.Comment: 12 pages. M.Si Fenomena yang muncul saat ini adalah bahwa Bisnis cuci mobil otomatis merupakan jenis usaha baru dibidang perawatan mobil yang baru berkembang sekitar lima (5) tahun terakhir ini. Bisnis ini muncul sebagai jawaban dari tuntutan pemilik mobil masyarakat ibukota yang menginginkan suatu bentuk usaha cuci mobil yang efisien waktu. Unsur waktu merupakan hal penting bagi masyarakat Kota Banda Aceh sebagai akibat dari pertumbuhan kendaraan yang semakin meningkat, maka kebutuhan akan salon-salon mobil akan mengalami peningkatan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh secara simultan kualitas pelayanan terhadap kepuasan konsumen The Auto Bridal di Banda Aceh, dan untuk mengetahui dimensi-dimensi kualitas pelayanan yang terdiri atas kehandalan, ketanggapan, keyakinan, empati dan keterwujudan berpengaruh secara parsial terhadap kepuasan konsumen The Auto Bridal di Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada The Auto Bridal Banda Aceh, sedangkan objek penelitian ini adalah mengenai kualitas pelayanan dan kepuasan konsumen yang menggunakan jasa pelayanan The Auto Bridal Banda Aceh, dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 100 orang konsumen. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan hasil uji-F (secara simultan) diperoleh Fhitungsebesar 44,125, sedangkan Ftabelpada tingkat signifikansi ?= 5% adalah sebesar 2,311. Hal ini memperlihatkan bahwa Fhitung > Ftabel, dengan tingkat signifikansi 0,000. Hasil perhitungan ini dapat di ambil suatu kesimpulan bahwa menerimahipotesis alternatif dan menolak hipotesis nol, artinya bahwa variabel kehandalan (x1), ketanggapan (x2), keyakinan (x3), empati (x4) dan keterwujudan (x5) secara bersama-sama berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kepuasan konsumen Kota Banda Aceh dalam mendapatkan pelayanan perawatan mobil

Perancangan Lingkungan Pondok Sosial Kota Malang Dengan Pendekatan Perilaku

Jumlah penyandang masalah kesejahteraan sosial (PMKS) cenderung mengalami kenaikan tiap tahunnya dan menjadi permasalahan yang belum dapat terselesaikan hingga saat ini. Permasalahan yang sering dijumpai di kota-kota besar adalah gelandangan dan pengemis (gepeng), anak jalanan (anjal), lansia terlantar, gelandangan psikotik, dan wanita tuna susila (WTS) yang sering dijumpai di sudut-sudut kota sehingga meresahkan warga dan mengurangi keindahan kota. Salah satu upaya untuk mengurangi jumlah PMKS yang berkeliaran di sudut-sudut kota adalah dengan menyediakan tempat penampungan berupa Lingkungan Pondok Sosial (Liponsos). Akan tetapi, Liponsos yang ada saat ini belum mampu menjalankan tugasnya sebagai tempat penampungan dan rehabilitasi sosial karena kurangnya fasilitas penunjang dan kurang layaknya bangunan penampungan yang ada. Karena Liponsos mewadahi beberapa karakter manusia yang berbeda-beda, diperlukan pendekatan yang berbasis pada perilaku setiap jenis PMKS. Dengan menggunakan metode Place Centered Mapping dan Annotated Diagram pada perancangan Liponsos, diharapkan dapat menghasilkan kebutuhan ruang dan jenis ruang yang cocok bagi setiap jenis PMKS

Peran Penyuluhan dalam Pemberdayaan Petani Kelapa Sawit Pola Swadaya di Kecamatan Bonai Darussalam Kabupaten Rokan Hulu

The objectives of the research are: (1) to determine the role of agricultural extension upon independent small holder farmers of palm oil, (2) to figure out the empowerment level the farmers, and (3) to analyze the influence of the extension\u27s role upon the farmers\u27 empowerment. The research was carried out in sub district of Bonai Darussalam Rokan Hulu district. 45 farmers were selected by using purposive sampling method and were interviewed as the respondents as well. Validity and reliability analysis have been done upon questionnaire. To answer the objective 1 and 2, analysis of Likert Scale Summated Rating (SLR) was utilized and in order to answer the objective 3, multiple regression analysis was used. The results shows: (1) The role of extension has shown quite significant role in the activities of the farmers, which consist of the role of extension as education, the dissemination of information/innovation, facilitation, consultation, supervision, monitoring and evaluation; (2) the empowerment level of the farmers is well enough consisting of a non-human resource, productive economy, and institutional; (3) the role of extension that has significant influence upon the farmers empowerment is the role extension as evaluation, meanwhile the role of extension as a education, dissemination, facilitation, consultation, and supervision have no significant influence

This research aims to determine the social capital in the bussiness group of pineapple chips agro-industry. This research uses a survey method with respondents consist of 12 craftsman pineapple chips. Data collection method in this research is primary data and secondary data. To determine the social capital in this research using a quantitative method using a questionnaire in the form of Likert Scale. Social capital in this research in view of the three elements of the network, social norms and trush. Value of the network of their way association, social norms in the value of the formation of attitudes and regulatory compliance, value of trush from the trush they have to offer a contribution to the bussiness group of pineapple chips agro-industry.
