Scaling properties of spectra in new exact solutions of rotating, multi-component fireball hydrodynamics
We describe fireballs that rehadronize from a perfect fluid of quark matter,
characterized by the lattice QCD equation of state, to a chemically frozen,
multi-component mixture, that contains various kinds of observable hadrons. For
simplicity and clarity, we apply a non-relativistic approximation to describe
the kinematics of this expansion. Unexpectedly, we identify a secondary
explosion that may characterize fireball hydrodynamics at the QCD critical
point. After rehadronization, the multi-component mixture of hadrons keeps on
rotating and expanding together, similarly to a single component fluid. After
kinetic freeze-out, the effective temperature of the single-particle
spectra of hadron type is found to be a sum of the kinetic freeze-out
temperature (that is independent of the hadron type ) and a term
proportional to the mass of hadron type . The coefficient of
proportionality to is also found to be independent of the hadron type
but be dependent on the radial flow and vorticity of collective dynamics.Comment: 12 pages, 2 figures, 6 tables, invited talk of G. Kasza at the 10th

A new and finite family of solutions of hydrodynamics. Part I: Fits to pseudorapidity distributions
We highlight some of the interesting properties of a new and finite, exact
family of solutions of 1 + 1 dimensional perfect fluid relativistic
hydrodynamics. After reviewing the main properties of this family of solutions,
we present the formulas that connect it to the measured rapidity and
pseudo-rapidity densities and illustrate the results with fits to p+p
collisions at 8 TeV and Pb+Pb collisions at TeV.Comment: Invited talk of T. Csorgo at the WPCF 2018 conference in Cracow,

Computer assisted rigid contact lens fitting training program
Training eye care professionals and students to fit Rigid Gas Permeable contact lenses is a detailed process with many variables. Reliable, consistent, quality fitting comes only after considerable patient contact. This thesis proposes a method of increasing trainee fitting experience without increasing the number of patient encounters. This can potentially reduce fitting errors and excessive number of trial fittings. This method involves using the program SUPERFIT , in combination with worksheets that instruct the trainee to move through the program using different fitting variables, such as keratometry readings, lens power, and peripheral K readings. Thus the trainee can directly observe different fitting relationships including tear volume, projected flourescein patterns and power, diameter, and base curve relationships
Isomerization of paraffin mixtures produced from sunflower oil
The importance of biofuels becomes more acute, especially in the European Union. Beside them, the bio gas oil is a
promising product that is a fuel with high isoparaffin content in the gas oil boiling range, which can be produced by the
catalytic hydrogenation of different triglycerides. In this paper the isomerization of different intermediate products obtained
over different hydrogenation catalysts and having high n-paraffin content was studied on SAPO-11 catalyst at 300–380 °C
temperature, 20–80 bar pressure, 0.5–3.0 h-1 of liquid space velocity and 400 Nm3
/m3
of H2/feed ratio. It was found that
the oxygen containing intermediate products significantly changed the degree of isomerization, but the hydrocarbon
composition and the aromatic content of the n-paraffin mixtures had no noticeable effect on the conversion. During the
experiments excellent quality diesel gas oil blending components were produced with high i-paraffin content and they
were practically free of heteroatom conten
Nonlinear elasticity of stiff biopolymers connected by flexible linkers
Networks of the biopolymer actin, cross-linked by the compliant protein filamin, form soft gels. They can, however, withstand large shear stresses due to their pronounced nonlinear elastic behavior. The nonlinear elasticity can be controlled by varying the number of cross-links per actin filament. We propose and test a model of rigid filaments decorated by multiple flexible linkers that is in quantitative agreement with experiment. This allows us to estimate loads on individual cross-links, which we find to be less than 10 pN. © 2009 The American Physical Society
Differences Between Fat-Related Characteristics of Sour Cream and Sour Cream Analogues
Modification of dairy products’ fat composition or replacement by other fats are common practices in the industry. Products in which milkfat is partially or wholly substituted by vegetable fats are defined as dairy analogues. This study delivers gap-filling information about sour cream analogues in nutritional aspects, focusing on the fat-related attributes. Analogue sour creams contained 29.6% less saturated fatty acids, 88.4% less cholesterol and 88.7% more mono- and poly-unsaturated fatty acids than the sour creams. Trans fatty acids were present in both products, which could not be linked to artificial hydrogenation in either case. Digestibility of the examined samples might be different, as sour creams had more short and medium chain fatty acids than the analogues. Overall, sour cream analogues, besides serving as an alternative to sour cream, have particular advantages based on their nutritional values
Divergent selection for fat index in Pannon Ka rabbits: genetic parameters, selection response
[EN] The objective of this study was to estimate the response to selection for total body fat content of rabbits measured by computer tomography (CT). A divergent selection experiment was performed using Pannon Ka rabbits, which were previously selected for number of kits born alive. The so-called zero generation consisted of 351 Pannon Ka rabbits, from which the index, total body fat volume (cm3) divided by the body weight (kg), was measured. Rabbits with low and high fat index values were selected to form the parent groups of the lean and fat lines, respectively. The lines consisted of 55-72 females and 35-47 males, depending on the line and generation. After three generations, the rabbits were evaluated by means of a single trait animal model. The fat index showed a moderate heritability estimate (0.28±0.03). The magnitude of the common litter effect was small (0.10±0.02). The breeding values averaged per generation provided slightly asymmetrical responses. Based on the results, the divergent selection was successful in confirming that CT is a very suitable method for performing selection for body composition traits.EFOP-3.6.3-VEKOP-16-2017-00008 project.
