Applications of automatic quasi-continuity

We study quasi-continuous functions on the product of two spaces provided they are separately continuous. We apply our results to actions of (semi-) groups on topological spaces and to the problem of the uniqueness of extensions of separately continuous functions

Uzależnienie od ćwiczeń fizycznych wśród studentów na podstawie adaptowanej do polskich warunków Skali EDS-R

The purpose of the research was to adapt the Exercise Dependence Scale – Revised (EDS-R) by H. A. Hausenblas and D. Symons Downs to the Polish context and to evaluate the exercise addiction rate among students. The research was conducted online with 290 interviewees aged 19–23 years. Factor analysis confirmed the 7-factor structure of the EDS-R test and its good internal consistency. All the subscales were characterized by adequate reliability. To evaluate scale’s accuracy, the correlation between the EDS-R scale and a question concerning the number of hours of exercise per week was measured. The number of hours spent exercising per week was favorably connected with all of the subscales of the EDS-R. Those results were confirmed by differential analysis. Based on the EDS-R test, the participants were classified as (1) at risk of exercise addiction (5.5%), (2) not addicted (symptomatic group) (72.8%) and (3) not addicted (asymptomatic) (21.7%). The material presented in the article may contribute to further research using the Polish adaptation of the EDS-R scale in different populations (e.g., due to different physical activities undertaken by the exercisers).Celem podjętych badań była adaptacja testu ESD-R autorstwa H.A. Hausenblas i D. Symons Downs do polskich warunków oraz ocena skali występowania uzależnienia od ćwiczeń fizycznych wśród studentów. Badania przeprowadzono online. Objęły one 290 osób w wieku od 19 do 23 lat. Stosując analizę czynnikową, potwierdzono strukturę 7-czynnikową skali ESD-R i dobrą jej wewnętrzną spójność. Wszystkie podskale charakteryzowały się dobrą rzetelnością. Do oceny trafności kryterialnej skali zastosowano pomiar korelacji między skalą EDS-R a pytaniem dotyczącym tygodniowej liczby godzin wykonywania ćwiczeń fizycznych przez respondenta. Liczba godzin uprawiania ćwiczeń w tygodniu była dodatnio powiązana ze wszystkimi podskalami EDS-R. Wyniki te potwierdziły także analizy różnicowe. Na podstawie testu EDS-R uczestnicy zostali sklasyfikowani jako: (1) zagrożeni uzależnieniem od ćwiczeń fizycznych (5,5%), (2) nieuzależnieni (grupa objawowa) (78,3%) oraz (3) nieuzależnieni (grupa bezobjawowa) (21,7%). Prezentowany materiał może się przyczynić do dalszych badań z wykorzystaniem polskiej adaptacji skali EDS-R w różnych populacjach (np. ze względu na różne aktywności fizyczne podejmowane przez ćwiczących)

Przygotowanie powierzchni próbek ze stali X38CrMoV5-1pod powłoki ochronne metodą szlifowania elektroerozyjnego AEDG i polerowania.

W artykule przedstawiono technologię przygotowania powierzchni próbek ze stali narzędziowej X38CrMoV5-1 z zastosowaniem szlifowania elektroerozyjnego AEDG i polerowania mechanicznego. Zakres badań obejmuje porównanie struktury geometrycznej powierzchni SGP ukształtowanej w procesach szlifowania AEDG, polerowania oraz po wytworzeniu warstw ochronnych PVD typu: TiC+a-C:H oraz MoS2TiW. Do pomiarów geometrii powierzchni w poszczególnych etapach zastosowano mikroskop konfokalny (CLSM) oraz profilometr mechaniczny i optyczny.In the paper the technology of surface layer preparation of samples made of X38CrMoV5-1 tool steel with using abrasive electrodischarge grinding (AEDG) and mechanical polishing. The range of investigations include comparison of surface texture formed in processes of AEDG grinding, polishing and after manufacturing of PVD protective coatings type TiC+a-C:H and MoS2TiW. For measurements of surface geometry after separate stages the confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM), mechanical and optical profiler have been used

Działania łódzkiego Urzędu Bezpieczeństwa wobec Piotra Kosobudzkiego, żołnierza Narodowych Sił Zbrojnych i Pogotowia Akcji Specjalnej

W artykule ukazano postępowanie prawne wobec Piotra Kosobudzkiego, jednego z Żołnierzy Wyklętych, zasłużonego dowódcy partyzanckiego, członka Narodowych Sił Zbrojnych i Pogotowia Akcji Specjalnej. Kosobudzki po wkroczeniu Rosjan do Polski w 1944 r. został aresztowany, po czym skuty kajdankami wyskoczył z jadącego pociągu i prawie trzy lata ukrywał się, po czym został ponownie zatrzymany przez UB. Nielegalnie więziony, został w końcu zwolniony z więzienia, ponieważ rodzina jego żony wpłaciła UB łapówkę w wysokości 50 tys. złotych. W tekście przedstawiono zawartość niektórych dokumentów archiwalnych dotyczących tej sprawy i podjęto próbę oceny jej pod kątem prawnym.The paper describes the legal procedure against Piotr Kosobudzki, one of the Cursed Soldiers, the distinguished commander, the member of the National Armed Forces and of the Emergency Task Forces. Kosobudzki aft er the Soviets entered Poland in 1944 was arrested and then handcuffed jumped out of the driving train and was hiding for almost three years, then he was again arrested by the Secret Police. Illegally imprisoned Kosobudzki was eventually released because the family of his wife paid to the Polish Secret Police a bribe in the amount of 50 thousand zlotys. In the paper, the contents of some archive documents concerning this case were presented and an attempt to evaluate it legally was made

Działania Wydziału do Spraw Wyznań w Płocku wobec Kościoła katolickiego w latach 1950-1989 w świetle dokumentów Archiwum Państwowego w Płocku

Faktyczny zakres działań Urzędu do Spraw Wyznań obok określonych statutem m.in.: prowadzenia statystyki wyznaniowej, koordynowania spraw wyznaniowych z działaniami innych resortów, przygotowania projektów aktów legislacyjnych regulujących stosunek państwa do poszczególnych wyznań, wyznaczała antyreligijna i antykościelna polityka rządzącej partii komunistycznej, dążącej do jak najszybszej ateizacji kraju. W przypadku Mazowsza Płockiego lokalna administracja wyznaniowa stała się z biegiem lat stałym elementem życia okołokościelnego. Od początku lat 80. obserwujemy regres w działalności aparatu wyznaniowego w kraju. Władze partyjno-państwowe zrezygnowały z silnie konfrontacyjnego kursu wobec Kościoła w Polsce. Tym samym zmniejszyła się rola lokalnych wydziałów do spraw wyznań, które zaczęły pogrążać się w urzędniczym marazmie. Warto zaznaczyć, że funkcjonowanie aparatu wyznaniowego na ziemi płockiej ukazane zostało jednostronnie, przez pryzmat dokumentów lokalnego aparatu wyznaniowego, zgromadzonych w płockim Archiwum Państwowym.The actual scope of operation of the Office for Religious Matters - besides its statutory tasks that included the managing of statistics related to denominations, coordination of religious questions with those of other sectors, and preparation of draft legislative acts regulating the attitude of the state to individual religious communities - was defined by the anti-religious and anti-church policy of the governing Communist party, which aimed at the quickest possible atheisation of the country. In the case of the Mazowsze Płockie subregion, with passage of time the local religious administration became a permanent element of the para-religious life. Beginning with the early 1980s, a regression in the operation of the religious authorities in the country was observed. The state-and-party authorities resigned from a strongly confrontative attitude to the Catholic Church in Poland. This reduced the role of the local departments for religious congregations, which began to drown in the red-tape lethargy. Worth mentioning is the fact that the operation of the apparatus for controlling religious activity in Płock subregion received a onesided treatment, namely from the perspective of the documents of local religious administration gathered in the State Archive in Płock.Neben den satzungsbezogenen Handlungsfeldern, wie: Konfessionsstatistik, Koordinierung der konfessionsbezogenen Maßnahmen anderer Ressorts, Vorbereitung von Gesetzentwürfen für die Regulierung der Staat-Kirche-Verhältnisse, wurden die tatsächlichen Handlungen des Konfessionsamtes von der antireligiösen und antikirchlichen Politik der regierenden kommunistischen Partei gekennzeichnet, die möglichst schnelle Atheisierung des Landes anstrebte. In der Region von Płock wurde die lokale Konfessionsverwaltung mit der Zeit zum festen Element aller kirchenbezogenen Lebensumstände. Seit dem Beginn der 80er Jahre beobachten wir einen Rückgang der Aktivitäten des Konfessionsapparats im Land. Die partei-staatliche Spitze gab die Konfrontationspolitik gegenüber der Kirche in Polen auf. Somit schrumpfte auch die Rolle lokaler Konfessionsbehörden, die in typischen behördlichen Stillstand gerieten. Eine wichtige Anmerkung: die Arbeitsweise des Konfessionsapparats in Płock wurde nur aus einer Perspektive dargestellt, und zwar aufgrund der Dokumente des lokalen Konfessionsausschusses, die im Staatsarchiv in Płock gesammelt wurden.Временный организационный устав Управления по делам религий, предусматривал, среди прочего, ведение религиозной статистики, координацию религиозных дел с деятельностью других ведомств, подготовку проектов законодательных актов, регулирующих отношения государства с отдельными конфессиями, учет объектов религиозного культа, контроль за надлежащим соблюдением законодательства, касающегося религий, контроль за выполнением свободы вероисповедания, контроль над религиозными школами, обеспечением прав и обязанностей духовенства и религиозных деятелей, вопросы, связанные со структурой и деятельностью различных конфессий, контроль деятельности религиозных объединений и фондов, оценка заявок о предоставлении государственных субсидии, управление Костельным фондом. Фактический диапазон деятельности Управления по делам религий и его региональных отделов определяла антирелигиозная и анти- церковная политика правящей коммунистической партии, стремящейся как можно скорее атеизировать страну. Используемые управлением процедуры обычно были расплывчатыми и нечеткими. В случае Плоцкой земли, кажется, что с течением времени местное Управления по делам религий стало неотъемлемой частью околоцерковной жизни, без которой функционирование религиозных общин не представлялось для их представителей возможным. Большинство духовенства и верующих относилось к «аппарату», как к неизбежному злу, которое уже всегда будет присутствовать в жизни Костела и с которым необходимо научиться жить. По мнению автора, в подавляющем большинстве случаев, это не означало нарушения исповедованных идеалов и тем более не может быть классифицировано как «предательство». В начале 80-х годов ХХ в. можно было наблюдать прогрессирующее снижение активной деятельности религиозного ведомства во всей стране. Кажется, что партийно-государственные власти отказались от конфронтационной политики по отношению к Костелу в Польше, приходя к выводу, что такая тактика не приносит ожидаемых результатов и позиция Костела постепенно укрепляется. Таким образом снизилась роль местных управлений по делам религий, чиновники которых начинали впадать в бюрократический маразм. Стоит отметить, что в настоящей статье функционирование религиозного управления на Плоцкой земле представлено в одностороннем порядке, исходя из документов местного управления по делам религий, собранных в Плоцком государственном архиве. Для того чтобы получить более общую картину обсуждаемой проблематики, необходимо провести изыскания в других архивах, в том числе в костельных, к которым доступ исследователей, особенно к документам касающихся личных дел духовенства, бывает затруднителен

Polska Zjednoczona Partia Robotnicza w Brudzeniu Dużym w latach 1972–1986

In this text, the author presents the functioning of the Commune Committee of the Polish United Workers’ Party in Brudzń Duży, a commune lying near Płock, in the years 1972–1986. It is mainly the minutes of meetings of the commune party authorities, which were analyzed, paying special attention to their reaction towards the challenge of daily life in the period before – during – and after the political breakthrough in 1981. On the basis of the analysis of the source materials, heavy ideologization of thinking of the management staff of the Municipal Committee was found and in consequence – incapacity to respond to social expectations. Effect of noncollinear magnetic order on the hyperfine interactions in Pt3Fe

The investigations of the hyperfine interactions in Pt3Fe with the noncollinear magnetic order by means of ab initio methods are presented. It is shown that the ground state magnetic order of Pt3Fe is of noncollinear character. Electric field gradient and hyperfine magnetic field at 57Fe nucleus were calculated and their dependence on the strength of Coulomb correlation interaction is discussed. The calculated values of electric field gradient correspond with the experimental data and the best agreement was found when the enhanced Coulomb correlation interaction for 3d-states of Fe was considered. Lattice, local valence electron (3d, 4p) and weakly bound 3p semicore electron contributions to electric field gradient are separated out and discussed
