O ponto de incidência do autor refere-se às operações desenvolvidas pela Força Aérea Húngara durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial, na Frente Leste, em colaboração com a Luftwaffe

Side by side – Hohfeld and Somló on rights and duties

Abstract 2017 was a double anniversary: 1917 was the year of Somló’s main work – [Juristische Grundlehre Foundations of Law] and the appearance of Hohfeld’s last study – Fundamental Legal Conceptions… II. However, there is a greater connection between the two authors. Their work is intertwined by the impact of John Austin and the aspiration to introduce results of analytical philosophy of law to the spiritual community of lawyers, mostly being averse from this branch of philosophy. The common topos of their works was the conceptual problem of right/duty and the far reaching impact of their handling of the problem. The exposition of the problem did not come from nowhere but arouse from the intellectual mold of the age – the turn of 20th century. In their elaborations, they have long lasting impact, initiating scholarly debates to current times. It is argued that though their conceptual world differed, it is better to conclude that their results complemented, rather than destroyed each other and it is possible to integrate them in one overall conception

Korrelációk és magyarázataik = Correlations and their explanation

A kutatások során az alábbi területeken értünk el eredményeket: Valószínűségi elméletek kauzális zártsága Reichenbachi-i közös ok rendszerek vizsgálata Kvantum korrelációk közös ok típusú magyarázatainak lehetősége Kvantum valószínűségelmélet története és interpretációs kérdései Speciális reletivitáselmélet filozófiai problémái A kutatási eredményeket 24 publikácóban közöltük (ezek között 19 angol nyelvű, melyekből 10 a referált nemzetközi folyóiratban megjelent ill. közlésre elfogadott dolgozat), és előkészületben van két könyv: egy a valószínűségi kauzalitás területén folytatott kutatásainkat foglalja össze, egy másik a relativitáselmélet alapjairól. Részben a jelen OTKA támogatásával készült el a Neumann János válogatott leveleit tartalmazó kötet, amely az American Mathematical Society kiadásában jelent meg 2005-ben. A pályázat résztvevői tartottak továbbá 15 nemzetközi konferencia és 14 egyéb (szemináriumi és meghívott) előadást. 2005 szeptemberében a European Science Foundation támogatásával (a jelen OTKA pályázatból egy minimális összeget fölhasználva) Budapesten a pályázat résztvevői nemzetközi konferenciát szerveztek ''Philosophical and Foundational Issues in Quantum Theory'' címmel. | Results were obtained in the following areas: Causal closedness of probabilistic theories Investigation of Reichenbachian Common Cause Systems Common cause explanation of quantum correlations History and interpretational problems of non-commutative probability theory Philosophical problems of the Special Theory of Relativity The results of research have been published in 24 publications (19 in English, of which 10 is in peer reviewed international journals). Two books are in preparation: one summarizing our results on probabilistic causation; another on the foundations of the Special Theory of Relativity. The volume ''John von Neumann: Selected Letters'', published in 2005 by the American Mathematical Society, has also been supported in part by the present OTKA grant. Participants of the team have delivered talks at 15 international conferences and have given 14 invited seminar talks. A small amount of the grant has been used to finance the European Science Foundation conference '' Philosophical and Foundational Issues in Quantum Theory'' in Budapest (September 2005), organized by the participants of the current OTKA grant
