Motivations and the effects of values relating to the consumption of bio foods
The aim of the study is to examine the psychological and demographic factors influencing the consumption of bio foods. The motivations for consuming bio foods and the effect of values were investigated among students. The respondents consider bio foods as healthier, of better quality, more environmental conscious but more expensive than traditional foods. All in all the respondents have positive attitudes relating to bio foods. Consuming bio foods just for fashion and its prestige is not typical among the consumers. The blocking factors of consumption include the price of bio foods and disbelief in the production way. On the basis of the Rokeach Value Survey traditional values such as self-respect, sense of accomplishment and inner harmony are the most important factors for the respondents. Respondents living in independent households with children find the comfortable, exciting and joyful life and even the social recognition important. As in the values of the respondents family has an outstanding role, this could be utilized during marketing communications
Qualification of Villages’ and Rural Communities Condition
The presentation deals with the quantification of villages’ and rural communities’
conditions. Distributing financial sources of rural development among the regions is not
an easy task. The authors confirm the fact that the results of different methods used for
quantifying conditions may be dissimilar. The methods seem to be effective in Hungary
which quantify the economic, ecological and social conditions of communities separately
in harmony with the functions of rural development. The authors propose an international
research, which use the same method to compare communities in the USA, in Europe and
even in the candidate countries of the European Union

On the basis of our results the supply of organic foods in the local markets satisfies the requirement of the consumers, and this tendency is expected to be maintained for the future. The most popular products are vegetables, fruits, dairy products, meat and honey. Generally the consumers are very satisfied with these products. Most of the buyers choose organic foods not only because these products are healthy, but for the fact that they are aware of the environmental-friendly technology by which the production happens. Consumers visiting the markets buy organic foods mainly at a weekly occasion, thus their consumption is conscious, and the healthy way of life is relevant for them.
