La función de la educación religiosa en el diseño curricular

    Get PDF

Objective: A simple, sensitive, precise, and accurate stability indicating HPTLC (high-performance thin-layer chromatography) method for analysis of 10-gingerol in ginger has been developed and validated as perICH guidelines. Methods: The separation was achieved on TLC (thin layer chromatography) aluminum plates pre-coated with silica gel 60F254 using n-hexane: ethyl acetate 55:45 (%, v/v) as a mobile phase. Densitometric analysis was performed at 569 nm.Results: This system was found to have a compact spot of 10-gingerol at RF value of 0.57±0.03. For the proposed procedure, linearity (r2 = 0.998±0.02), limit of detection (18ng/spot), limit of quantification (42 ng/spot), recovery (ranging from 98.35%–100.68%), were found to be satisfactory. Conclusion: Statistical analysis reveals that the content of 10-gingerol in different geographical region varied significantly. The highest and lowest concentration of 10-gingerol in ginger was found to be present in a sample of Patna, Lucknow and Surat respectively which inferred that the variety of ginger found in Patna, Lucknow are much superior to other regions of India

Performance evaluation of Cu-Ni 90/10 alloyed structures exposed to various seawater compositions and their remaining service life estimation

    Get PDF
The Cu-Ni 90/10 alloy is extensively used in seawater applications mainly because of its excellent heat transferability, resistance toward corrosion and marine fouling. The corrosion resistance of Cu-Ni 90/10 has been found to be far superior in open natural seawater, however, several premature failures have often been reported during their exposure in the pollutant-rich seawater typically found near harbours, jetties and coastlines. This paper investigates the corrosion behaviour of Cu-Ni 90/10 alloyed coupons exposed to natural seawater, and pollutant-rich harbour seawater in a submerged position. Moreover, this research also investigates the corrosion mechanism on marine heat exchanger tubes of material that failed prematurely while operating in similar seawater compositions. The field experimental results for short-term corrosion results from coupons, and the long-term corrosion results from heat exchanger tubes have been evaluated, to formulate a relationship and corrosion modelling

Credit card is a widely used financial instrument in consumer financing, facilitating consumers to full fill their number of desires. The purpose of this research is to present an explanatory perception into the current and non-users of credit card. The aim is to recognize the diverse factors that becomes the basis of low adoption and usage rate of credit card among the Pakistani population. Moreover, this paper also aims to highlight the barriers responsible in the diminutive growth of a potential credit card market in Pakistan. This research is explanatory in nature wherein structured questionnaire was used to collect the data. Moreover, non-probability convenience sampling method was adopted as a sampling technique. Furthermore, structured questionnaire was adapted from the base study and distributed among 302 current and non-credit card users. The research indicates that, to create and tap a large market credit card financial institutions should focus on cost and improve the security of credit cards. Findings further reveals that religious belief has a huge impact towards the decline of credit card usage. Consumer bankers dealing with credit card proposition should focus on aggressive brand promotion which will end up in changing the consumer perception. Furthermore, cost/financial charges are highly correlated with the usage of credit card and thus barrier in credit card usage. Therefore, credit cards issuers should keep the stated factors in mind for easy penetration. This research will be instrumental for credit card issuers, advertising agencies responsible for developing the content of credit card communication and can be used in academics to understand this area from both micro and macro perspective. Get PDF
Freight transport enables economic growth, market connectivity, and access to the global supply chain systems which contribute to the societal progress and inclusive development of a country. However, it may undermine the sustainable operations by incurring external costs, inefficiency, and economic losses due to non-reliability, poor services, and information systems. In this research study, the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Sustainable Freight Transport Systems (SFTS) are discussed based on available literature review and standards of sustainability measurement in freight transport. Then, based on KPIs some of the scenario-based impediments are highlighted which hinder the performance of the freight transport in Pakistan for achieving sustainable development goals. The core impediments included are Strategic Determinants (SD), Information Systems (IS), Infrastructure Management Systems (IMS) and City Logistics (CL). The negative direct impacts of the key identified factors are also highlighted and linked with each scenario-based impediment. This research study would provide an opportunity for the stakeholders to get tangible idea for policy making and upgradation of the freight transport industry in the country. The highlighted implications will also be validated via expert surveys and Delphi-analysis in the future study.

Objective: The present investigation was undertaken for identification and assessment of eight accessions of Curcuma longa collected from all ecological zones in India by random amplification of polymorphic DNA (RAPD) markers. Methods: DNA was isolated using modified cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide (CTAB) method. Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) was performed according to the method based on Williams et al. and data analysis was done using Alpha Imager EC software. Results: Eleven out of twenty primers screened were informative and produced 150 amplification products among which 132 products (88%) were found to be polymorphic. The percentage polymorphism of all 08 accessions ranged from 44.44% to 100%. A total of 150 amplification products were scored with an average frequency of 13.63 bands per primer. Most of the RAPD markers studied showed a different level of genetic polymorphism. The data of 150 RAPD bands were used to generate Jaccard's similarity coefficients and to construct a dendrogram by means of UPGMA.Conclusion: Results shows that C. longa undergoes genetic variation due to a wide range of ecological conditions within distribution area of its population in India. This investigation as an understanding of the level and partitioning of genetic variation within the accessions and would provide an important input into determining efficient management strategies and will help to breeders for turmeric improvement program

    Get PDF
In this work the numerical simulation of aerodynamic performance of low aspect ratio wings at low Reynolds numbers applicable to micro aerial vehicle is carried out. Commercial software STAR-CCM+ was used to simulate the flow and predict the aerodynamics performances of the low aspect ratio wing. Results were presented in terms of pressure coefficient distribution, flow visualization, lift and drag coefficients for angle of attacks ranging from 0˚ to 18˚ and Reynolds numbers ranging from 104 to 105 Keywords: Rectangular planform wing; Tip vortices; Flow separation . The results showed that, for rectangular planform wing, the distribution of the pressure is dominated by vortices. The results also showed the formation of tip vortices at lower Reynolds number for rectangular wing configuration. It is evident from the results that the type of wing configurations plays a very important role in delaying or preventing the flow separation
