The Analysis of Directive Function in the Kelley Armstrong’s Novel The Awakening

This thesis is a research about the analysis of directive function in the Kelley Armstrong’s novel The Awakening. The aims of this thesis are to identify the types of directive function used in Kelley Armstrong’s novel and to know how directive function used in Kelley Armstrong’s novel “The Awakening”. The writer used Ervin-Tripp’s theory to explain directive function in the novel. Then, the instrument which is used by the writer was note taking. Along this instrument, the writer reads the novel, then taking note cards that has different colour to write directive utterence that was found in the novel, after that the utterence written down of them then the writer classified directive from the novel. In this thesis, the writer found five types of directive. They are imperatives, embedded imperatives, question directives, statements of need and hints. Next, most of characters in the novel who used imperative type of directive is a person that has same rank age with the hearer. It is suitable with Ervin-Tripp theory that the speaker and the hearer who has same age and rank, normally used imperative form to make someone doing something. Besides, for the others types of directive, embedded imperative, question directive, statement of need and hints are used by the characters who has the different age and rank. Additionally, all the characters in the novel used directive to order, request and giving suggestion to their interlocutor or the hearer, either explicitly or implicitly. This thesis entails some information about language function and describes how language function especially directive used in the novel. Expectantly, this thesis can stimulate the students of English Literature to learn more about the language especially about its function

THE APLICATION OF KINESTHETIC AUDITORY VISUALIZATION LEARNING MODEL BASED ON ATERACTIVE MULTIMEDIA IN CLASS X SIMULATION AND DIGITAL COMMUNICATION SUBJECT AT SMK NEGERI 6 JENEPONTO Oleh : SYAMSINAR UNIVERSITAS NEGERI MAKASSAR [email protected] Abstract. The purpose of this study was to improve student learning outcomes and class X student learning outcomes at SMKN 6 Jeneponto on Simulation and Digital Communication subjects using interactive multimedia-based Visualization Auditory Kinesthetic learning models. This type of research is classroom action research (Classroom Action Research). The implementation stage uses two cycles, namely Cycle I and Cycle II. The data collection methods used were tests, questionnaires, and documentation. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed an increase in student learning outcomes, seen from the average percentage of student learning outcomes in cycle I by 70% and cycle II by 85% and an increase in the average score of N-Gain in cycle I was 0.30 with medium category and in Cycle II an average N-Gain was 0.74 in the high category. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the learning outcomes of Simulation and Digital Communication have increased through the application of interactive multimedia based Visualization Auditory Kinesthetic learning models from student learning outcomes in class X at SMKN 6 Jeneponto. IMPROVING THE LISTENING ACHIEVEMENT OF THE STUDENTS OF SMU NEGERI 1 SUNGGUMINASA THROUGH THE USE OF KANGGURU ENGLISH LEARNING PACKAGES

The objectives of the research were to find out whether or not the use of KangGuru English Learning Packages can improve the listening achievement of the students of SMA Negeri 1 Sungguminasa in learning to listen. The research Pre-experimental method with one group pre-test and post-test design. The procedure of collecting data involved administering pre-test before treatment and then post-test. The population of this research was the eleventh year students of SMA Negeri 1 Sungguminasa, academic year 2015/2016 which consisted of 360 students. The sample was taken by random sampling technique, where the researcher took 4 students in every class and the total of the sample was 36 students. The result of the mean score of the students’ listening achievement before being taught through KangGuru English Learning Packages was 62,33 and it was classified as “fair”. Whereas, after doing the treatment, the mean score was 90,69 and it was classified was “very good”. To find out the significance of the difference between pre-test and post-test, the researcher applied t-test. The value of t-test was 11.57 which was greater than the value of t-table 1.689 at the level of significance 0.05 and the degree of freedom was 35. It was revealed that KangGuru English Learning Packages significantly improved the listening achievement of the students.Keywords: Listening, Achievement, KangGuru English Learning Packages.

Pola Tidur dalam Al-Qur’an (Sebuah Kajian Tafsir Tahlili QS.Al-Furqan/25: 47)

Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1) hakikat tidur (an-naum) adalah istirahat, keadaan berhenti badan dan kesadarannya (biasanya dengan memejamkan mata) tenang dan diam . Kata yang semakna dengan tidur yaitu kata an’nuas (kantuk), as-sinah (tidur ringan), dan ar-ruqud (tidur), 2) Wujud tidur adalah a) lail (malam) waktu terbenamnya matahari sampai terbitnya fajar b) nahar (siang) terbitnya matahari sampai terbenamnya matahari.3) Manfaat tidur malam adalah meningkatkan kemampuan otak, menjaga jantung agar tetap sehat, mencegah kanker, dan mengurangi stress dan depresi. Manfaat tidur siang adalah memperpanjang umur, membuat tubuh lebih segar, membuat tubuh lebih aktif dan menguatkan dan meningkatkan ingatan. Dengan menjaga waktu tidur dengan baik akan menghasilkan tidur yang berkualitas sesuai tuntunan Allah dan Rasulnya

Reinvestasi penerimaan usahatani kakao: studi kasus petani kakao di Kabupaten Luwu Sulawesi Selatan

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji perilaku petani dalam reinvestasi penerimaan usahatani kakao serta menguji faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan perilaku petani dalam reinvestasi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kabupaten Luwu selama enam bulan yaitu dari bulan agustus 2013 sampai januari 2014. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif (analisis Chi-Square). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perilaku petani dalam cara membiayai reinvestasi yaitu: menyisihkan dari hasil penjualan kakao, hasil penjualan kakao dijadikan modal usaha dan hasil dari usaha tersebut diinvestasikan dalam pengelolaan usahatani kakao, dan meminta panjar ke pedagang pengumpul kakao. Bentuk reinvestasi yaitu: perluasan lahan, pengadaan sarana produksi pertanian dan alat/mesin pertanian. Kisaran besar kecilnya reinvestasi yaitu: 6 - 57 persen dari penerimaan uasahatani kakao. Berdasarkan hasil kajian, variabel yang berhubungan dengan perilaku petani dalam reinvestasi yaitu: motivasi, luas lahan, jumlah produksi, pendapatan rumahtangga, perhatian, persepsi, kemampuan menerima resiko, kemampuan menabung, respon petani terhadap petani maju dan tingkat harga

Peranan Badan Amil Zakat (BAZ) dalam Meningkatkan Kesejahteraan Masyarakat Miskin di Kecamatan Rappocini Kota Makassar

Skripsi ini merupakan suatu kajian ilmiah yang membahas tentang Peranan Badan Amil Zakat (BAZ) Dalam Meningkatkan Kesejahteraan Masyarakat Miskin di Kecamatan Rappocini Kota Makassar. Badan Amil Zakat (BAZ) merupakan salah satu lembaga pengelolaan zakat di Indonesia yang dibentuk oleh pemerintah dan mempunyai tugas pokok mengumpulkan, mendistribusikan dan mendayagunakan zakat sesuai dengan ketentuan agama. Penelitian ini bertujuan nntuk memahami Peranan Badan Amil Zakat (BAZ) Dalam Meningkatkan Kesejahteraan Masyarakat di Kecamatan Rappocini dan untuk mengetahui upaya Badan Amil Zakat (BAZ) Dalam Meningkatkan Kesejahteraan Masyarakat di Kecamatan Rappocini Kota Makassar. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif. Dan menggunakan metode pendekatan parsial dan struktural. Adapun sumber data yang digunakan oleh peneliti adalah data primer yang merupakan data yang diperoleh dari informan,dan data sekunder yaitu data yang diperoleh melalui buku-buku, catatan hasil wawancara di lapangan, dan data dari pemerintah setempat. Adapun sumber data tersebut peneliti berusaha mengumpulkan data-data dan informasi yang dibutuhkan dengan cara interview/wawancara, observasi serta dengan menggunakan dokumentasi sebagai bukti. Teknik penarikan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa peran BAZ kota Makassar dalam kehidupan masyarakat sangat penting karena dapat membantu dan juga mengurangi beban hidup masyarakat yang kurang mampu yang ada di kecamatan Rappocini, baik dari segi pembinaan keagamaan, pengembangan ekonomi dan SDM, peningkatan pendidikan dan kesehatan, juga dalam bidang sosial. Walaupun demikian ada beberapa kendala-kendala yang dihadapinya, yakni dari segi pengelolaannya yang masih belum berjalan maksimal karena beberapa indikator yang belum berjalan dengan baik yaitu terkait masalah intensitas penyuluhan dalam hal ini masih kurangnya sosialisasi yang dilakukan oleh BAZ, dan juga terkait masalah pelaporan pertanggungjawaban yang masih belum transparan. Namun BAZ kota Makassar mengupayakan kedepan untuk lebih mengoptimalkan kinerja dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat yang ada di kecamatan Rappocini dan kecamatan lainnya yang ada di Kota Makassar
