    Efek Perbedaan Jenis Pakan Dan Habitat Terhadap Nilai Female Maturity Index (Fmi) Pada Peneluran Kepiting Bakau (Scylla Serrata)

    Kepiting bakau (Scylla serrata) adalah salah satu jenis komoditas perikanan yang potensial untuk dikembangkan, karena memiliki nilai gizi yang tinggi. Permintaan masyarakat terhadap jenis kepiting bakau ini cukup besar, sehingga menyebabkan penangkapan besar-besaran terhadap stok di alam. Salah satu usaha budidaya yang dirasa cukup potensial untuk mengatasi dampak tersebut adalah dengan cara produksi peneluran kepiting bakau matang gonad yang pemeliharaannya lebih mudah dan singkat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perkembangan nilai Female Maturity Index (FMI) selama tahap peneluran dan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian jenis pakan dan habitat yang berbeda terhadap nilai Female Maturity Index. Kepiting bakau betina yang belum berisi telur diberi perlakuan berupa perbedaan habitat pemiliharaan yaitu kawasan aliran pasang surut dan kawasan mangrove serta diberi tiga jenis pakan yang berbeda yaitu ikan rucah, cumi-cumi, dan kerang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pakan dan habitat yang berbeda tidak memberikan efek yang nyata terhadap perkembangan nilai FMI. Pemberian pakan cumi-cumi dan pemeliharaan di habitat mangrove berpengaruh nyata (α=0,05) terhadap pertambahan lebar segmen abdomen ke 5, abdomen terbesar dan berat tubuh kepiting bakau pada masa peneluran. Pemberian jenis pakan dan habitat yang berbeda tidak menyebabkan pertambahan panjang dan lebar karapas kepiting bakau

    Keterkaitan Diversitas Plankton Sebagai Zooxanthella Terhadap Warna Kima (Tridacna SP.) Pada Beberapa Pulau Di Teluk Lampung

    Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui diversitas jenis plankton di sekitar kerang kima dan keterkaitan antara diversitas plankton terhadap warna kima di beberapa pulau-pulau kecil di Teluk Lampung. Variabel yang diamati adalah jenis kima yang ditemukan dan keberagaman plankton yang berada di sekitar kima, variable pendukung yakni factor lingkungan. Data plankton yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis menggunakan rumus indeks keragaman, keseragaman, dan dominansi. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus-Oktober di perairan sekitar Gosong Susutan, PulauKelagian, dan PulauUnang-Unang. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kerang kima yang ditemukan pada tiap lokasi berjumlah satu dan termasuk spesies Tridacna squamasa. Kelompok fitoplankton yang ditemukan antara lain Bacillariophyta, Pyrrophyta, Cyanophyta, dan Chlorophyta. Bacilllariophyta adalah kelompok yang paling banyak ditemukan pada ketiga lokasi penelitian (52-59%), sementara Chlorophyta adalah kelompok yang paling sedikit ditemukan (3-5%). Banyaknya Bacillariophyta yang ditemukan di sekitar kima menyebabkan mantel kima berwarna kuning kecoklatan seperti warna pigmen yang dimiliki oleh kelompok ini.     Pengambilan keputusan pembangunan rumah adalah masalah yang komplek bukan masalah yang ringan, banyak orang yang merasa kesulitan dalam tahap perencanaan pembangunan rumah, baik itu dari segi pemilihan model, pemilihan bahan bangunan yang digunakan, dan penentuan anggaran atau biaya yang dibutuhkan. Sering kali terjadi biaya yang dikeluarkan tidak sesuai dengan anggaran pada rencana awal.Aplikasi Penentuan Biaya Pembangunan Rumah merupakan Sistem Pendukung Keputusan (SPK) yang dikembangkan dengan tahapan PADI, implementasi dengan bahasa pemrograman Delphi 7.Fasilitas yang diberikan dalam aplikasi Penentuan Biaya Pembangunan Rumah ini antara lain membantu para pengambil keputusan untuk mendapatkan informasi harga bahan bangunan, mendapatkan informasi volume pekerjaan, serta dapat mengambil keputusan yang tepat dalam pengeluaran biaya pembangunan rumah berdasarkan kriteria kelas bahan

    The study was conducted in August through Desember 2007. The objectives of this study were:1) to identify their job performance and 2) to determine the relationship of the agent characters and their job performances at different type of extension institution in district level. A total of 260 AEA from 17 districts in West Java were selected by stratified randomized sampling technique with proportional allocation as sample of the study. Descriptive statistics were used to determine the agents\u27 distribution on certain characteristics. The results shown that some substantial works need to be done in order to improve the agents\u27 performances due to low hygiene factors and insufficient of motivating factors. Furthermore, the Kendall coefficient of concordance W obtained mostly high and highly significant. Therefore, it were concluded respectively that AEA performed best in involving informal leaders, farmer group development, extension work plan, using extension method, program planning; and performed well in evaluation and reporting subject matters of development, farmer self reliance development, office maintenance and administrative, rural economic development and need assessment. Finally, Agriculture extension agent performed unsatisfactorily in evaluation and reporting, networking and professional development

    Organizational Communication in Implementing School Committee Role in South Tangerang City

    This research aims to explore the role of communication practices of organizations in supporting the implementation of the four roles of School Committee as an advisory body, a controller, a supporter and a intermediator in an education unit. Thus research uses qualitative approach with descriptive analysis, and data collected through a focus group discussion. The result of this research shows the School Committee's understanding of its four roles is still low; and organization communication whether between committee manager and school management and its members are still not being implemented optimally. The recommendations are spreading awareness and providing assistance to the Ministry of Education and Culture as well as the Office of Education of Tangerang Selatan on the implementation of the Law No. 44/U/2002 about the Roles and Functions of the School Committee; improving the organization communication pattern both in the internal and external environment

    Mobility of Discrete Solitons in Quadratically Nonlinear Media

    We study the mobility of solitons in second-harmonic-generating lattices. Contrary to what is known for their cubic counterparts, discrete quadratic solitons are mobile not only in the one-dimensional (1D) setting, but also in two dimensions (2D). We identify parametric regions where an initial kick applied to a soliton leads to three possible outcomes, namely, staying put, persistent motion, or destruction. For the 2D lattice, it is found that, for the solitary waves, the direction along which they can sustain the largest kick and can attain the largest speed is the diagonal. Basic dynamical properties of the discrete solitons are also discussed in the context of an analytical approximation, in terms of an effective Peierls-Nabarro potential in the lattice setting.Comment: 4 page

    A research to investigate the relationship of the agricultural extension agent (AEA) motivator-hygiene factors and their job performances at different agriculture extension institution in West Java was conducted in August through Desember 2007. The objectives of this study were:1) to identify their job performance and 2) to determine the relationship of the agent motivator-hygiene factors and their job performances in west Java Province. A total of 260 AEA from 17 districts in West Java were selected by a stratified randomized sampling technique with proportional allocation as a sample of the study. Descriptive statistics were used to determine the agents' description on their motivator-hygiene factors, whereas the Kendall coefficient of concordance W was used to analyze the relationship of AEA performance and their motivator-hygiene factors. The results shown that some substantial works need to be done in order to improve the agents' performances due to low hygiene factors and insufficient of motivating factors. Furthermore, the Kendall coefficient of concordance W obtained mostly high and highly significant.
