Software-defined networking (SDN) technology is one key technology in telecommunications networks that are currently widely studied. In SDN-based networks, the controller holds the key to the reliability of a network because all control functions are held by the controller as one of the open-source controllers, the Open Network Operating System (ONOS) has two forwarding mechanisms, namely reactive forwarding, and proactive forwarding. This study compares performance between reactive forwarding and proactive forwarding on ONOS with VM migration as traffic. The parameter measured is the total migration time using simple network topology. From the test results, the proactive forwarding scenario can optimize the fastest potential of the topology tested by using the path that has the largest bandwidth available on the network topology. In comparison, reactive forwarding can only pass through the smallest hops of the tested topology. From the measurement results, the average migration time performance using a proactive forwarding scenario is 36.16% faster than the reactive forwarding scenario

Rain Effect to A 60 GHz Broadband Wireless System’s Performance: Study Case In Purwakarta

Nowadays, world wide telecommunication researchers are developing 5G technology. One of most important key technology in 5G is Milimeter-Wave (mmWave). This study measure 60 GHz broadband wireless system performance because of it’s promising potentials. However, the use of these frequencies is quite sensitive to rain that resulting an atenuation in the channel. Therefore, this study proposes two schemes to address the problem. The first scheme is the use of QAM modulation (Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) and the second scheme is an addition of LDPC (Low Density Parity Check) code techniques. From the results of this study, by using 4-QAM modulation and LDPC coderate 1/2, the broadband wireless system’s performance on the second scheme is better compared to the first scheme with 8.33 dB Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) value to provides BER (Bit Error Rate) 10-4Nowadays, world wide telecommunication researchers are developing 5G technology. Nowadays, opensource-based technology has begun spreaded into telecommunications field. It can be seen by the number of distributed opensource-based software tools at telecommunications field. The use of opensource based software has a huge impact both on the speed of innovation and for any individual that involved in opensource based projects. The Sistem Telekomunikasi Study Program from Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia Purwakarta Regional Campus has held an opensource introduction activity in the field of telecommunications for high school students (SMA, MA, SMK) in Purwakarta at August 29, 2020. This activity aims to introduce the opensource paradigm to grow their interest and attraction of participants to start looking at source code, trying to use it thus they can contribute to opensource projects. Activities are held offline according to the Covid-19 protocol using blended learning method. The results of the activity showed that the participants were very satisfied with the event and interested in further learning about opensource based tools

Kata Kunci : Penilaian Kinerja, Pembelajaran Kooperatif, Himpunan Fuzzy, Teknik Digital This study presents the research result of fuzzy -based performance assessment development to assess student performance on practicum of digital tecniques subject. This research focuses on the development of the performance assessment tools and capabilities of fuzzy sets when implemented in schools. Capability of fuzzy algorithms known after its implementation in the classroom. The results showed that performance assessment which applied to the students practicum have a broader evaluation than jobsheet assessment as currently applied in the location of research . From the results obtained, a set of fuzzy -based performance assessment can be applied in schools as an additional consideration besides the conventional assessment to determine the student's final decision because it allows involving expert opinion when available . This activity aimed at improving the competence of SMK students in the fiber optic field that supports the development of broadband network technology in Indonesia. In addition, it was also to assist students in improving the basic competencies and core competencies of the Vocational High School curriculum for telecommunication access network engineering expertise. The activity was organized by the Telecommunication System Study Program at the Indonesian Education University Regional campus in Purwakarta, West Java in the Community Service (PkM) program. A total of 16 participants who were vocational students from several schools in Purwakarta Regency attended this activity. The method of implementing the workshop was the presentation of theory, practice, and evaluation by giving a questionnaire to the participants. The results of the participants' responses showed that they were satisfied with the implementation of this workshop (score 94.42 of 100)
