    : The rapes is a serious form of sexual crimes, so that rape has been defined as a form of sexual criminal offense. Real rape case comes down to the issue of motivation of the perpetrator. Results of research and analysis indicate that the rape victim offender motivation was very diverse and influenced by internal and external factors. Cases of rape are also related to the issue of inequality of gender relations, ie, sub-ordinated, steorotipe and gender-based violence

    Ethanolic Extract Formulation of Bawang Tiwai (Eleutherine Americana) in Antiacne Cream

    Bawang tiwai (Eleutherine americana) have antibacterial effect to Sthapylococus epidermis. This study was conducted to formulate an ethanolic extract of bawang tiwai into antiacne cream preparations, thus Dayak community empirically considered use this as an antiacne and boils. Formula (F) was made by varying the concentration of the ethanolic extract namely: F1 (1%), F2 (2%) and F3 (4%). Anti acne cream formulation tested with phytochemical screening, organoleptic (smell, color, homogenity), type of cream, cream dispersive test, and antibacterial activity test against Staphylococcus epidermidis. Phytochemical screening result shows that its contains alkaloids, flavonoids and saponins, organoleptic test showed stability in F3, antiacne cream has a pH value = 6. Dispersive cream generated meets the requirements with a range of 5-7 cm. Cream type is type O / W (oil in water). Test result by using agar diffusion method with Mueller Hinton Agar (MHA) medium, inhibition zone obtained in the negative control (0), F1 (0), F2 (5.17 ± 0,19mm) and F3 (6 ± 0,17mm), LSD oneway ANOVA showed 95% (p <0.05) compared F3 all treatments. This study antiacne cream of F3 (concentration of the ethanolic extract of bawang tiwai 4%) is the best formula with the greatest potential in the medium category against Staphylococcus epidermidis

    Underwater welding diperlukan karena pada umumnya struktur yang beroprasi di laut dirancang kurang lebih 20-30 tahunan dan selama rentang waktu tersebut maka konstruksi tersebut haruslah terjamin dari segi keselamatan dan kekuatannya. Lingkungan laut yang korosif juga dapat menyebabkan berkurangnya kekuatan dan mengakibatkan kerusakan. [4] Tujuan dari tugas akhir ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi pelindung flux elektroda dan tebal pelat pada pengelasan di bawah air.Dari data hasil pengujian korosi diketahui bahwa pengelasan basah di bawah air dengan pelindung flux elektroda isolasi memiliki laju korosi yang lebih baik daripada menggunakan lilin dan sealent. Nilai laju korosi tertinggi adalah pelat tebal 12 mm dengan variasi pelindung flux elektroda berupa sealent sebesar 0,456935, sedangkan nilai laju korosi terendah adalah pelat tebal 10 dengan variasi pelindung flux elektroda berupa isolasi sebesar 0,212443. Sedangakn untuk perbedaan tebal pelat, Semakin tebal pelat semakin besar pula laju korosinya. Untuk pelat 10 mm, nilai laju korosi untuk pelindung flux berupa isolasi sebesar 0,212443 mmpy, untuk lilin sebesar 0,273485 mmpy dan untuk sealent sebesar 0,281885 mmpy. Sedangkan untuk pengelasan untuk pelat 12 mm, nilai laju korosi untuk pelindung flux berupa isolasi sebesar 0,32037 mmpy, untuk lilin sebesar 0,33089 mmpy dan untuk sealent sebesar 0,456935 mmpy. Nilai laju korosi tertinggi adalah pelat tebal 12 mm dengan variasi pelindung flux elektroda berupa sealent sedangkan nilai laju korosi terendah adalah pelat tebal 10 dengan variasi pelindung flux elektroda berupa isolasi

    Background: Increasing blood pressure often has no symptoms, people are not aware the incidenee of hypertension. Various studies have shown the prevalence of hypertension continues to rise and tend at younger age groups, thus causing hypertension is public health problems. The purpose of this study is to determine risk factors related to hypertension and develop intervention model for hypertension. Methods: The study was conducted in Lebak district, Banten Province. It design was analyses of secondary data from the Baseline Health Research (Riskesdas) 2007 and qualitative study Results: The analysis shows, the intervention model for Lebak districts needs to focus on healthy behavior and environmental pollution. Health behavior is reflected in the emotional disorders, abdominal circumference at risk. Although the factors of age and marital status were contribute to increased blood pressure. Statistic model is -3.025 + 0.993* Age 35-60 year + 0.663* Marrital status + 0.881 * mental disorder + 0,679* obese central + 0.429* environmental exposure. Qualitative results showed a lack of knowledge about the causes, symptoms, prevention, and how to detect or treat of hypertension that require long and continuous. This is supported from the implementing recognition programs, the placement of non-communicable diseases program which is a huge umbrella of prevention of hypertension remains unclear. So in the implementation of prevention is still passive. Availability for drugs at health facilities for treatment of non-communicable diseases is not enough; this is a problem in the program to reduce the prevalence of hypertension diseases. So it needs the support of decree of the issue of hypertension by Ministry of Health on inter-sector coordination

    Determination of Antioxidant and Anti-Melanogenesis Activities of Indonesian Lai, Durio kutejensis [Bombacaceae (Hassk) Becc] Fruit Extract

    Purpose: To investigate the antioxidant and anti-melanogenesis activities of Durio kutejensis [Bombacaceae (Hassk.) Becc] fruit extract.Methods: The fruit flesh of D. kutejensis was extracted successively with n-hexane, ethyl acetate/EtOAc, and ethanol/EtOH at room temperature repeatedly. The extracts were concentrated in vacuo to yield their residues. Antioxidant properties were analyzed by 2,2'-azino-bis(3- ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulphonic acid) (ABTS, superoxide dismutase (SOD)-like activity, 2,2-diphenyl-1- picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), and oxygen radical absorbance capacity (ORAC) while anti-melanogensis activity was evaluated by tyrosinase enzyme activity and B16 melanoma cell assays (melanin inhibition and cytotoxicity).Results: The extract (200 μg/mL) showed melanin inhibition by inhibiting melanin formation in B16 melanoma cell by 47 % without cytotoxicity but did not inhibit tyrosinase enzyme activity. The extract (1 - 1000 μg/mL) also exhibited some level of antioxidant activity including ORAC (0.04 ± 0.00 μmol TE/mg at 950 μg/mL), ABTS (1.0 ± 0.2 % at 100.8 μg/mL), SOD (IC50, 76.00 ± 14.6 μg/mL, and DPPH (21.5 ± 0.7 % at 97.39 μg/mL extract concentration).Conclusion: The fruit extract of Durio kutejensis has antioxidant properties with a potential for treating hyperpigmentation and for use as a skin-lightening agent.Keywords: Durio kutejensis, Antioxidant, Anti-melanogenesis, B16 Melanoma cell Hyperpigmentation, Skin-lightening agen
