    Kemampuan berhitung dari angka 1-10 anak Kelompok B2 TK ABA Gadungan Kecamatan Wedi perlu ditingkatkan, oleh karena itu pembelajaran harus menarik, aman, nyaman dan menyenangkan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemmapuan berhitung anak dengan permainan jari tangan. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Subyek penelitian adalah anak kelompok B2 TK ABA Gadungan Kecamatan Wedi Tahun Pelajaran 2011/2012 yang berjumlah 17 anak. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah : diskriptif kualitatif dengan analisis interaktif yang terdiri dari pengumpulan data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, catatan lapangan, dan dokumentasi. Data berupa hasil tes diklasifikasikan sebagai data kuantitatif. Data tersebut dianalisis secara diskriptif yakni dengan membandingkan nilai tes antar siklus. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan anak awal berhitung ada 4 anak dari 17 anak. Pada siklus pertama meningkat menjadi 7 anak pada siklus kedua menjadi 11 anak dan pada siklus ketiga menjadi 14 anak, artinya secara klasikal telah meningkat kemmapuan berhitung anak mencapai 80%. Berdasarkan uraian di atas, dapat disimpulkan bahwa permainan jari tangan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berhitung anak Kelompok B2 TK ABA Gadungan Kecamatan Wedi Tahun Pelajaran 2011/2012

    Influences of various hormones on the megakaryocyte in bone-marrow tissue culture

    In our study on the influences of various hormones and various endocrines on the megakaryocyte function by means of bone-marrow tissue culture, we obtained the following. 1. In the repeated administration of ACTH, cortisone, testosterone, progesterone, or thyroxin to guinea pigs, these hormones accelerated the megakaryocyte function, whereas estradiol on the contrary diminished the function. 2. The removal of such endocrines as the pituitary, adrenal, thyroid or testicles will diminish the megakaryocyte function, while removal of the ovaries accelerates it. 3. For the megakaryocytes in the hypophysectomized rats, ACTH acts most effectively to restore their function, followed by cortisone and pulverized thyroid, while testosterone has hardly any effect on the function. 4. ACTH, cortisone, prednisolone, testosterone, progesterone, and pulverized thyroid act directly on megakaryocytes so as to accelerate their function, while estradiol diminishes the megakaryocyte function. 5. For the megakaryocytes in idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura ACTH is most effective in restoring the function; for the megakaryocytes in hypoplastic anemia cortisone is most effective; and for the megakaryocytes in Banti's disease prednisolone is most effective in restoring the megakaryocyte function.</p

    Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada Syndrome in Two Patients with Immunoglobulin A Nephropathy

    We describe herein 2 patients who developed Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada syndrome in the course of renal biopsy-proven immunoglobulin A (IgA) nephropathy. A 61-year-old man with an 11-year history of IgA nephropathy and a 16-year history of thyroiditis, and a 56-year-old man with a 5-year history of IgA nephropathy developed Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada syndrome. At the time of the eye disease presentation, IgA nephropathy was stable without corticosteroids in both patients. Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada syndrome was successfully treated with intravenous administration of prednisolone tapered from 200 mg daily. Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada syndrome is associated with IgA nephropathy, suggesting a similar autoimmune mechanism for both diseases

    COP, a new alloy for surgical implants

    Today Vitallium is used for surgical implants. It is a casting alloy which, with advances in casting technology, is also used commercially for making instruments of fairly complex shape. Because of its expense, however, it is not widely used in Japan. Instead, a series of 18-8 Mo alloys are used in Japan even though of insufficient strength. Used over a long period of time in the body, especially for the purpose of preserving structual functions as part of the human skeleton, it often corrodes, resulting in either abnormalities in tissue cells or, because of its insufficient strength, danger of bending and breaking with aging. In spite of a marked advance in fracture treatment, we have hardly any suitable materials for making instruments appropriate to the internal fixation of fractures in Japan. We, therefore, conducted various experiments to develop an alloy with sufficient corrosive resistance and strength that could be formed into a complex shape to take the place of Vitallium alloy, finally succeeding in developing an alloy we call &#34;COP&#34;. The characteristic properties of COP may be summarized as follows: 1. The main components are 20% Cr, 20% Ni, 20% Co and 4% Mo aside from 0.2% P. 2. As it contains &#34;P&#34;, it shows a marked age-hardening. In its molten state its machinability is excellent, and later it can readily be hardened by heat-treatment. 3. It has not only a marked yield point and tensile strength but also has toughness in elongation and reduction of area, showing a strength which surpasses Vitallium. 4. Its corrosive resistance is great. 5. Its cost is far cheaper than Vitallium.</p

    Use of the halo-pelvic apparatus for treatment of fracture-dislocations of the thoracic and lumbar spines accompanied by paraplegia

    Twenty-five cases of paraplegia due to fracture-dislocations of the thoracic and lumbar vertebrae were treated using the halo-pelvic apparatus. Thirteen of them only needed the apparatus, two underwent laminectomy, and ten had posterior spinal fusion in addition. The advantages of this method are that gentle reduction can be achieved without severe complications, and that posterior spinal fusion can be performed with this apparatus on, thus enabling an early start to the subsequent exercise program and minimal absence from work.</p

    Di dalam penelitian ini tujuannya untuk melihat apakah ada pengaruh minat belajar peserta didik terhadap penggunaan video animasi dan apakah ada pengaruh peningkatan hasil belajar setelah menggunakan media pembelajaran video animasi. Jumlah populasi totalnya 64 orang dalam penelitian ini, diantaranya VA berjumlah 32 orang dan VB berjumlah 32 orang. Pada penelitian ini, saya memakai metode kuantitatif dengan desain quasi-experimental, khususnya desain kontrol non-equivalent. Setelah dilakukan perhitungan uji normalitas dan homogenitas data tersebut normal dan homogen. Penggunaan media video animasi untuk pembelajaran ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara penggunaan media video animasi dengan media pembelajaran guru biasa gunakan. Hasil belajar menggunakan media pembelajaran video animasi mengalami peningkatan yang sangat baik dari sebelumnya sedangkan penggunaan media yang digunakan guru nilai belajar IPA tetap sama dari sebelumnya karena dilihat selama penelitian siswa kurang aktif dibandingkan dengan kelas yang menggunakan media pembelajaran video animasi. Penggunaan media video animasi membuat minat belajar siswa, dari yang memperhatikan video dan aktif di dalam kelas kemudian mempengaruhi nilai IPA siswa-siswi kelas VA dan VB SDN Kalisari 01, sehingga berdampak baik untuk meningkatkan minat belajar, meningkatkan hasi belajar dari sebelumnya dan sangat membantu dalam pembelajaran secara jarak jauh yang memudahkan membagikan materi pembelajaran dan bisa digunakan kapan saja saat dibutuhka

    Fundamental studies on the peripheral leucocyte culture and its clinical application

    With an improved method of tissue culture of peripheral leucocytes of our own design, the authors carried out systematic observations on the peripheral leucocyte culture from the normal, various kinds of leukemias, leukemoid reactions, and hypoplastic anemia. As for the culture method we have devised a method of silicon oil coating on the blood containers, a method which will least affect the cell function as compared with the conventional culture method. As the results we have found that the tissue growth in the case of peripheral leucocyte culture of normal persons ceases after six-hour culture and also we have recognized a peculiar finding, a growth like a corona-shape, in which an empty space appears in the inner part of growth area along with the lapse of time. In every leukemic case, without presenting growth area like a corona, the cell density is high and the outer zone of growth area becomes sharply demarcated as in the case with bone-marrow culture and also the growth continues even after 12 hours. At this instance we have noticed many mitoses of immature cells. Moreover, the maturation of immature cells has been observed and it has also been possible to distinguish to what type these immature cells belonged. In the leukemoid reaction no growth pattern Characteristic to the leukemia can be recognized, and at a glance it can easily be differentiated from the leukemia. In the case of hypoplastic anemia although the growth area is like that of the normal presenting a corona-like shape, the cell density is lower and the function of leucccytes is lesser than the normal. From these results we believe that the peripheral leucocyte culture is clinically useful.</p
