The performance evaluation of the regional innovation system (RIS) based on the management entropy theory can dynamically describe its overall innovation level and its development trend. This article describes the content of management entropy theory and analyzes its function mechanism of the RIS. On the basis of above, this article establishes its own index evaluation system and entropy evaluation model. At last, the empirical analysis of Hebei province is taken to support the theory

Coverage-Guaranteed Sensor Node Deployment Strategies for Wireless Sensor Networks

    Get PDF
Deployment quality and cost are two conflicting aspects in wireless sensor networks. Random deployment, where the monitored field is covered by randomly and uniformly deployed sensor nodes, is an appropriate approach for large-scale network applications. However, their successful applications depend considerably on the deployment quality that uses the minimum number of sensors to achieve a desired coverage. Currently, the number of sensors required to meet the desired coverage is based on asymptotic analysis, which cannot meet deployment quality due to coverage overestimation in real applications. In this paper, we first investigate the coverage overestimation and address the challenge of designing coverage-guaranteed deployment strategies. To overcome this problem, we propose two deployment strategies, namely, the Expected-area Coverage Deployment (ECD) and BOundary Assistant Deployment (BOAD). The deployment quality of the two strategies is analyzed mathematically. Under the analysis, a lower bound on the number of deployed sensor nodes is given to satisfy the desired deployment quality. We justify the correctness of our analysis through rigorous proof, and validate the effectiveness of the two strategies through extensive simulation experiments. The simulation results show that both strategies alleviate the coverage overestimation significantly. In addition, we also evaluate two proposed strategies in the context of target detection application. The comparison results demonstrate that if the target appears at the boundary of monitored region in a given random deployment, the average intrusion distance of BOAD is considerably shorter than that of ECD with the same desired deployment quality. In contrast, ECD has better performance in terms of the average intrusion distance when the invasion of intruder is from the inside of monitored region

However, the traditional centralized processing approach may face threats in terms of data leakage and trust. The use of distributed, tamper-proof blockchain technology can improve the decentralized storage and security of data in the ITS network. However, the cross-trust domain devices, terminals, and transportation agencies in the heterogeneous blockchain network of the ITS still face great challenges in trusted data communication and interoperability. In this article, we propose a heterogeneous cross-chain interaction mechanism based on relay nodes and identity encryption to solve the problem of data cross-domain interaction between devices and agencies in the ITS. First, we propose the ITS cross-chain communication framework and improve the cross-chain interaction model. The relay nodes are interconnected through libP2P to form a relay node chain, which is used for cross-chain information verification and transmission. Secondly, we propose a relay node secure access scheme based on identity-based encryption to provide reliable identity authentication for relay nodes. Finally, we build a standard cross-chain communication protocol and cross-chain transaction lifecycle for this mechanism. We use Hyperledger Fabric and FISCO BCOS blockchain to design and implement this solution, and verify the feasibility of this cross-chain interaction mechanism. The experimental results show that the mechanism can achieve a stable data cross-chain read throughput of 2,000 transactions per second, which can meet the requirements of secure and efficient cross-chain communication and interaction among heterogeneous blockchains in the ITS, and has high application value.publishersversionpublishe

The traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), Sheng-xue-xiaoban, inhibits the angiogenesis in ovarian cancer in vitro

Purpose: The traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), Sheng-xue-xiao-van (SXXB) is reported to be effective in treatment of thrombocytopenic purpura and chemotherapy-induced thrombocytopenia in clinical practices. The purpose of this study was to explore the functions of the SXXB Capsule in ovarian cancer in vitro. Methods: The toxicity of the medicine was measured using CCK8 method in ovarian cancer cell lines A2780 and OC-3-VGH and also the human ovarian epithelial cell line IOSE80. The cells were treated using the DMSO-diluted SXXB solution with the concentration levels at0, 3.125 and 6.25 μg/ml. Western blot was applied to measure the VEGFA proteins in each group. Later, the cells treated with 0 and 25μg/ml SXXB solution for 48h were collected for supernatant. Then HUVECs were co-cultured with the supernatant. Migration and tube formation assays were performed thereafter. Results: SXXB solution showed higher toxicity in ovarian cancer cells than in IOSE80. The protein levels of VEGFA were reduced as the SXXB concentrations increased in ovarian cancer cells but not in IOSE80. Migration and formed tubes were inhibited in HUVECs co-cultured with the supernatant collected from SXXB-treated ovarian cancer cells. Conclusion: The SXXB Capsule might inhibit the angiogenesis in ovarian cancer in vitro

Serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D and bone mineral density among children and adolescents in a Northwest Chinese city

Although vitamin D is essential for bone health, little is known about prevalence of vitamin D deficiency and low bone mineral density (BMD) among children, especially those in developing countries. It also remains unclear whether serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D [25(OH)D] is associated with BMD among children. We investigated these questions among children and adolescents in Yinchuan (latitude: 38° N), Ningxia, an economically underdeveloped province in Northwest China. A total of 1582 children (756 boys and 826 girls), aged 6–18 years, were recruited from schools using the stratified random sampling method in fall 2015. Serum 25(OH)D concentrations were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, and BMD was quantified by dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry. Vitamin D deficiency (defined as serum 25(OH)D ≤ 37.5 nmol/L) was present in 35.5% of study subjects. There were no clear patterns of differences in serum 25(OH)D concentrations across the four age groups compared (6–9 years, 10–13 years, 14–16 years, and 17–18 years). The prevalence of low total body less head (TBLH) BMD (defined as a Z-score of ≤ −2.0 standard deviations away from the mean BMD values of the Chinese pediatric reference population) among children examined was 1.8% and was not significantly different among the four age groups considered. Linear regression analysis revealed that age, weight, and height were significantly and positively associated with TBLH BMD and that the strongest determinant of TBLH BMD was age in boys and weight in girls. There were no significant correlations between serum 25(OH)D concentrations and BMD obtained for total body and at various skeletal sites (r ranged from −0.005 to 0.014) regardless of whether children evaluated were sufficient, insufficient, or deficient in vitamin D. In conclusion, more than one-third of children and adolescents in a Northwest Chinese city were deficient in vitamin D but only <2% of them developed low BMD
