Mass number and excitation energy dependence of the Θeff/Θrig\Theta_{eff}/\Theta_{rig} parameter of the spin cut-off factor in the formation of an isomeric pair

The $\Theta_{eff}/\Theta_{rig}$ parameter of the spin distribution of the level density was determined for 61 nuclei covering the mass range of 44 to 200. The experimental isomeric cross-section ratios for 25 isomeric pairs were compared with the model calculation to find the best fit to the experimental data. The model calculations were carried out with the TALYS code using the BSFG model for the level density. The reduced $\chi ^2$ values were calculated to describe the deviation of the experimental data from the model calculation. An $\eta_d$ was introduced calculating the $\Theta_{eff}/\Theta_{rig}$ value from the low energy discrete levels of the nucleus. The $\eta /\eta_d$ values seem to be independent of the mass number, their average value near to one. The $\eta /\eta_d$ values also seem to be independent of the average excitation energy in the continuum, indicating that $\eta$ is independent of the excitation energy. The mass number and (N-Z) dependence of the $\eta$ values were studied. The $\eta$ values for the nuclei with odd mass number show an exponential decrease as a function of A or (N-Z). The $\eta$ values for the odd-odd type of nuclei appear to be constant, near one, up to the mass number 110 or (N-Z) of 13. Above these values, the $\eta$ values show exponential decrease. The $\eta$ values for even-even type nuclei decrease exponentially up to A equal to 142 or (N-Z) equal to 20. The values are lower than those for the nearby odd-odd type nuclei. The $\eta$ values increase for nuclei with A between 142 and 156 and (N-Z) between 20 and 28, and they finally reach the value of odd-odd type systematics.Comment: 67+3 pages, 52+2 figures. A török hódoltság művelődéstörténetének kutatása = Researches on the Cultural History of the Ottoman Hungary

Kutatásaim célja a török hódoltság művelődéstörténetéről való ismereteink elmélyítése volt. Három területen értem el eredményeket. 1. Összegyűjtöttem és áttekintettem a hódoltságra vonatkozó oszmán verses krónikákat (közülük egyet lefordítottam). 2. Átírtam a török énekmondás legkorábbi dallamgyűjteményét, valamint elemeztem három hangszer keleti kapcsolatait (citera, koboz, dob). 3. Elkészítettem a hódoltsági muszlim imahelyek, türbék, és bektasi kolostorok adattárát. Részletesen – önálló monográfiában - elemeztem a pécsi Jakováli Haszan pasa-dzsámi történetét. Számos tanulmányt adtam közre Evlia cselebi útleírásának részproblémáiról. | My aim was to enhance our knowledge on the cultural history of the period of Ottoman domination in Hungary. My research work can be divided into three fields. 1. I have collected and examined all the Ottoman narrative poems having any reference to the Ottoman domination in Hungary. One of these sources have been translated into Hungarian. 2. I have transcribed the earliest musical collection from the period and surveyed the history of three instruments (zither, koboz, drum) with a special focus on the possibility of their oriental origin. 3. I have prepaired a database of Muslim shrines, mausoleums and Bektashi convents of Ottoman dominated Hungary. I have published a book on the history of the Hasan Pasha Jami and wrote several articles analyzing various passages of Eviya Chelebi’s Travelogue

Continuum modeling perspectives of non-Fourier heat conduction in biological systems

The thermal modeling of biological systems has increasing importance in developing more advanced, more precise techniques such as ultrasound surgery. One of the primary barriers is the complexity of biological materials: the geometrical, structural, and material properties vary in a wide range, and they depend on many factors. Despite these difficulties, there is a tremendous effort to develop a reliable and implementable thermal model. In the present paper, we focus on the continuum modeling of heterogeneous materials with biological origin. There are numerous examples in the literature for non-Fourier thermal models. However, as we realized, they are associated with a few common misconceptions. Therefore, we first aim to clarify the basic concepts of non-Fourier thermal models. These concepts are demonstrated by revisiting two experiments from the literature in which the Cattaneo-Vernotte and the dual phase lag models are utilized. Our investigation revealed that using these non-Fourier models is based on misinterpretations of the measured data, and the seeming deviation from Fourier's law originates in the source terms and boundary conditions

Egy kisiklatott hadjárat. Fázil Ahmed pasa nagyvezír 1664. évi hadműveleteiről

1664 tavaszán a török nagyvezír, Fázil Ahmed pasa újabb hadjáratra készült: az előző évben elfoglalt Érsekújvárra támaszkodva folytatni kívánta az előrenyomulást nyugat felé. Zrínyi Miklós kíméletlen, következetes stratégiája Kanizsa ellenében azonban eltérítette a nagyvezírt eredeti útvonalától, nehezen megoldható ellátási problémák elé állította, s végül tarthatatlan helyzetbe kényszerítette. Ezzel megakadályozta, hogy közvetlen és jól előkészített támadás induljon Pozsony, Győr vagy akár Bécs ellen. Fázil Ahmed hadjárata kisiklott. A hadjárat méreteihez képest szinte semmilyen eredménnyel nem járt, török szempontból egyetlen haszna Kanizsa térségének a konszolidálása volt, miközben északon értékes területek vesztek el. Úgy is fogalmazhatunk, hogy amikor Zrínyi „magára húzta” a török fősereget, akkor megmentette az országot: a nagyvezír nem verhette tovább azt az éket, amelyet Érsekújvárnál a Magyar Királyság területébe már beleütött. De Zrínyi nagy árat fizetett: óriási szenvedést zúdított Nyugat-Magyarországra, és dédelgetett tervétől, Kanizsa elfoglalásától messzebb került, mint valaha. Paradox módon valószínűleg mégis ezzel mentette meg Magyarországot a teljes felaprózódástól és pusztulástól
