    Ideological Tendencies in the Six English Qur’an Translation on Qs. Ar-Rum 41

    Lessons from the Qur’an can be learned from its translation by those who do not understand Arabic, although the Qur’an does not state the meaning obviously. Still, some translators may interpret the Qur’an differently from each other depend on what ideology belongs to the translators. To know the ideology, this study employs Systemic Functional Linguistic (SFL) approach. The sources of data of this research are six English Qur’an translational texts. The research data are clause unites in the English Qur’an translation of the QS. Ar-Rum 41. They are divided into four clauses. The results showed that the translation of the Qur’an has a connection with the ideology embraced by translators. Saheeh International – Jeddah Qur’an translation bears the Aswaja ideology consistenly; Maulawi Sher Ali – Islamabad Qur’an translation bears the Ahmadiyah ideology consistenly; Dr. Muhammad Taqi-ud-DIn Al-Hilali, and Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan - Madinah Al-Munawwarah Qur’an translation bears the Sunni ideology consistenly. Edip Yuksel – US Qur’an translation bears the ideology of reformism combined with the ideology of Ahlussunnah, Ahmed Ali Qur’an translation bears the ideology of reformism combined with the ideology of tafsiriyah that makes it less stylish, and Aisha Bewley Qur’an translation bears the ideology of Liberal and stylistic. The variety of ideologies in the English Qur’an translation is due to the influence of religious understanding of the authors as well as their efforts to promote specific ideologies in the English Qur’an translation

    Introverted Learners Problems and Solving Strategies in Speaking English

    This study investigated the problems and strategies for solving introverted learners' problems in speaking English. Qualitative research design was used in this research. An online MBTI test was used to recruit introverted participants. This research involved eight students at the fourth semester of the English Education Department of UIN SMH Banten. The researchers gathered the data through an online personality test, questionnaire, and interview. The result of this research showed that there were three problems introvert learners facing when they spoke English: linguistic problems (pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary), feeling shy or nervous, and lack of self-confidence. This study also discovered that there were three factors affecting their problems: affective, environment, and personality. This research found six strategies to solve introverted learners' problems in speaking English. The strategies were as such; selfpractice as much as possible, regulating the breath, learning through social media platforms, taking a note of unfamiliar words, listening to English songs, and playing online games

    This research was designed to develop learning media products to improve students' abilities at Madrasah Aliyah Mathlaul Anwar Pusat Menes, Pandeglang, Banten. This was done based on research questions 1) how to design a product using a podcast through the ADDIE Model stage (analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation) on improving the speaking skills of class XI IPA 2 students of Madrasah Aliyah Mathlaul Anwar Pusat Menes through the use of podcasts? 2) how is the effectiveness of the product on improving the speaking ability of students of class XI IPA 2 Madrasah Aliyah Math'laul Anwar Pusat Menes through the use of podcasts and the research. the research objectives are 1) to design teaching media products through the ADDIE Model stage (analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation ) using podcasts 2) to find out the results of product effectiveness on students' speaking abilities using podcasts. This study uses a development research design and data collected from 22 students in one class (control class). The results of this study are shown from the pre-test and post-test value data, the results of the data obtained from the use of the T-Paired Table on the aspect of assessing speaking ability.     Developing Model Test of Reading Comprehension for Islamic Studies

      Abstract: This research is aimed to produce model test of reading comprehension for Islamic Studies which is one of the sections of English Proficiency Test (EPT) in UIN SMH Banten. This is Research and Development (R&D) which employs ADDIE model i.e. Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation.  The data are reading texts which are developed based on Islamic Studies and General Science needed in Islam. The result produces a new model of reading comprehension (third section) of EPT in UIN SMH Banten, i.e. model Test of English (TE)-A, TE-B, TE-C, and TE-D. Each of the model test consists of 50% Islamic Studies and 50% general science needed in Islam. For Islamic Studies consists of seven themes i.e. Al-Qur’an and Hadith Studies, Jurisprudence (Fiqh), Morality (Akhlaq) belief (Tauhid) Mu’amalah, and Siasah. The General Science consists of seven themes i.e. Economy, Law, Linguistics, Education, culture, arts, and politics. The level of difficulty of the texts is standardized into academic reading standard that is usually used in Universities and Colleges.&nbsp

    The Quality of the Bahasa Indonesia – English – Arabic Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia Multilingual Translational Texts

    This research is aimed to describe the quality of Bahasa Indonesia, English, and Arabic UUD 45 MTTs in terms of meaning accuracy, meaning clarity, and expression naturalness. This research is also aimed to explain the factors that motivate the quality. This is qualitative research type which employs a content analysis method specifically semantic content analysis and grammatical content analysis. Semantic content analysis analyzes meaning accuracy (EM accuracy and TM accuracy) and meaning clarity while grammatical content analysis analyzes expression naturalness. The data are clause unites in the Bahasa Indonesia, English, and Arabic UUD 45 MTTs that are started from the ‘Pembukaan’ (preamble) until the first verse of the second article of the second section i.e., Majelis Permusyawaratan Rakyat and the first verse. Research results show that the quality of Bahasa Indonesia – English UUD 45 TT falls into a ‘good’ category and the quality of Bahasa Indonesia – Arabic UUD 45 TT falls into a ‘very good’ category. The degrees of quality of MTTs in T2 consist of ‘less accurate meaning’ category, ‘very clear meaning’ category, and ‘very natural expression’ category. The degrees of quality of MTTs in T3 consist of ‘less accurate meaning’ category, ‘very clear meaning’ category, and ‘very natural expression’ category. The factors that motivate the quality above are inaccurate meaning, unclear meaning and unnatural expression. The first is inaccurate meaning that consists of two inaccurate meanings i.e. inaccurate EM and inaccurate TM. There are four-teen inaccurate EM and TM clauses in T1 – T2 which are combined and there are also four-teen inaccurate EM and TM clauses in T1 – T3 which are combined. The second factor that motivates the quality is the unclear meaning. There are only there clauses of unclear meaning in T1, eight clauses of unclear meaning in the T2, and nine clauses of unclear meaning in the T3. The third factor that motivates the quality is the unnatural expression. There is only one clause of unnatural expression in T1, seven clauses of unnatural expression in the T2, and also seven clauses of unnatural expressions in the T3
