Effect of different weaning time on the growth and survival ofCommon carp (Cyprinus carpio L.) larvae
Within our experiment, we studied the combined effect of live food application and feed training on the production parameters of carp larvae. In addition, we examined whether there is a difference in the growth rate and survival rate of the specimens of Szeged mirror landrace reared in similar stocking density but with different treatments.
Specimens of Szeged mirror landrace from induced propagation were placed into 12 pieces of 40-liter aquaria. For the 4 different treatments, (K, A3, A6, A9), live food (Artemia salina) was fed, as well as feed training was applied.
We also sought to find an answer as to how our feeding and rearing conditions can affect the production parameters of common carp fries and what impact these conditions may have on their survival rates. At the end of the 2-week experiment we determined the individual weight gain of the carp fries, their survival rate and the biomass growth. The purpose of the study is to examine the optimum timing of shifting from live food to feed for carp larvae
FĂŒstölt barramundi filĂ© termĂ©kek hazai fogyasztĂłi megĂtĂ©lĂ©sĂ©nek vizsgĂĄlata
A tanulmĂĄny a barramundi halfajbĂłl kĂ©szĂŒlt fĂŒstölt halfilĂ© funkcionĂĄlis Ă©lelmiszer irĂĄnyĂĄba törtĂ©nĆ fejlesztĂ©sĂ©vel kapcsolatos termĂ©kkĂłstoltatĂĄssal egybekötött primer kutatĂĄs â a terjedelmi korlĂĄtoknak köszönhetĆen â legfontosabb eredmĂ©nyeit mutatja be. A kutatĂĄs cĂ©lja az volt, hogy informĂĄciĂłt nyĂșjtson a cĂ©lközönsĂ©g, esetĂŒnkben a hipermarketekben vĂĄsĂĄrlĂł fogyasztĂłk: (1) egyes halfogyasztĂĄsi szokĂĄsairĂłl, (2) a tudatos halfogyasztĂĄshoz kapcsolĂłdĂł attitƱdjeikrĆl, (3) az elmĂșlt idĆszakban a hazai piacra bevezetett barramundi halfaj ismertsĂ©gĂ©rĆl, az azzal kapcsolatos fogyasztĂłi benyomĂĄsokrĂłl, (4) valamint a legĂșjabb termĂ©kfejlesztĂ©s (pozitĂv Ă©lelmi hatĂĄsĂș anyagokkal (pl. vitamin komplex, tökmagolaj, ginkĂłbiloba-kivonat, mĂĄriatövismag-olaj stb.) dĂșsĂtott fĂŒstölt barramundi fogyasztĂłi megĂtĂ©lĂ©sĂ©rĆl. Az eredmĂ©nyek alapjĂĄn elmondhatjuk, hogy kedvezĆek voltak a barramundival kapcsolatos fogyasztĂłi benyomĂĄsok, mivel a halfajt alapvetĆen szimpatikus megjelenĂ©sƱ, prĂ©mium kategĂłriĂĄs halkĂ©nt pozĂcionĂĄltĂĄk. A termĂ©kfejlesztĂ©s, azaz a fĂŒstölt barramundi filĂ© mint funkcionĂĄlis Ă©lelmiszer kedvezĆ fogyasztĂłi fogadtatĂĄsra lelt. A kifejlesztett termĂ©k potenciĂĄlis cĂ©lközönsĂ©ge fogyasztott mĂĄr korĂĄbban fĂŒstölt halat Ă©s meg volt elĂ©gedve a kĂłstolĂłt követĆen az Ășj termĂ©k ĂzvilĂĄgĂĄval. Fontos hangsĂșlyozni, hogy a megkĂ©rdezettek egyĂĄltalĂĄn nem voltak tisztĂĄban azzal, hogy mit takar a âfunkcionĂĄlis Ă©lelmiszerâ kifejezĂ©s, ugyanakkor az ilyen irĂĄnyĂș termĂ©kfejlesztĂ©st helyeseltĂ©k. Legszimpatikusabbnak a szĂv Ă©s a szem egĂ©szsĂ©gĂ©t megĆrzĆ, betegsĂ©gĂ©t megelĆzĆ funkcionĂĄlis Ă©lelmiszer-komponenseket neveztĂ©k meg. A kutatĂĄs alapjĂĄn elmondhatĂł, hogy a termĂ©kfejlesztĂ©s irĂĄnya jĂł, minden szempontbĂłl kielĂ©gĂti a hazai cĂ©lközönsĂ©g halfogyasztĂĄssal kapcsolatos szokĂĄsait, elvĂĄrĂĄsait Ă©s igĂ©nyeit
Both Freshly Prepared and Frozen-Stored Amniotic Membrane Cells Express the Complement Inhibitor CD59
Amniotic membrane proved to be very effective tool in the treatment of a number of ocular surface diseases. The amniotic membrane, however, has to be stored before its transplantation onto the ocular surface followed by mandatory serologic control in order to exclude the transmission of certain viruses. Therefore it is most important to study if cryopreservation of the membrane affects cell surface expression of the molecules. We measured cell surface expression of CD59, a membrane-bound complement inhibitor on the cells of freshly prepared and cryopreserved amniotic membrane. Cells of amniotic membrane were separated mechanically. Epithelial and mesenchymal cells were identified by the intracellular expression of nanog and the cell surface ICAM1 positivity, respectively. Multicolor flow cytometric immunophenotyping was used for determination of the CD59 expression. CellQuest-Pro software program (Becton Dickinson) was used both for measurements and analysis. CD59-positive cells could be detected in all investigated samples and in all investigated cell types, although the expression level of CD59 differed. CD59 was expressed both on freshly prepared and frozen-stored samples. Higher level of CD59 was detected on ICAM1+ mesenchymal cells than on nanog+ epithelial cells. Our findings indicate that amniotic membranes maintain their complement inhibiting capacity after cryopreservation
