Theoretical analysis of direct CPCP violation and differential decay width in D±π±π+πD^\pm\to \pi^\pm \pi^+\pi^- in phase space around the resonances ρ0(770)\rho^0(770) and f0(500)f_0(500)

We perform a theoretical study on direct CPCP violation in D±π±π+πD^\pm\to \pi^\pm \pi^+\pi^- in phase space around the intermediate states ρ0(770)\rho^0(770) and f0(500)f_0(500). The possible interference between the amplitudes corresponding to the two resonances is taken into account, and the relative strong phase of the two amplitudes is treated as a free parameter. Our analysis shows that by properly chosen the strong phase, both the CPCP violation strength and differential decay width accommodate to the experimental results.Comment: 15 pages, 5 figure

We present the necessary and sufficient condition for the monotonicity of the ratio of the power and second Seiffert means. As applications, we get the sharp upper and lower bounds for the second Seiffert mean in terms of the power mean

Synergistic Effects between Phosphorylation of Phospholamban and Troponin I Promote Relaxation at Higher Heart Rate

We hypothesized that the extent of frequency-dependent acceleration of relaxation (FDAR) would be less than that of isoproterenol-(ISO-)dependent acceleration of relaxation (IDAR) at the same increment of heart rates, and ISO may improve FDAR. Cardiac function and phosphorylation of PLB and cTnI were compared in pacing, ISO treatment, and combined pacing and ISO treatment in isolated working heart. The increase in cardiac output and the degree of relaxation was less in pacing than in ISO treatment at the same increment of heart rates. The increasing stimulation frequency induced more significant relaxant effect in ISO perfusion than that in physiological salt perfusion. The pacing only phosphorylated PLB at Thr17, but ISO induced phosphorylation of cTnI and PLB at Ser16 and Thr17. Those results suggest that the synergistic effects of PLB and cTnI induce higher degree of relaxation which makes a sufficient diastolic filling of the ventricle at higher heart rate

ηQ\eta_{Q} meson photoproduction in ultrarelativistic heavy ion collisions

The transverse momentum distributions for inclusive ηc,b\eta_{c,b} meson described by gluon-gluon interactions from photoproduction processes in relativistic heavy ion collisions are calculated. We considered the color singlet (CS) and color octet (CO) components with the framework of non-relativistic Quantum Chromodynamics (NRQCD) into the production of heavy quarkonium. The phenomenological values of the matrix elements for the color-singlet and color-octet components give the main contribution to the production of heavy quarkonium from the gluon-gluon interaction caused by the emission of additional gluon in the initial state. The numerical results indicate that the contribution of photoproduction processes cannot be negligible for mid-rapidity in p-p and Pb-Pb collisions at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) energies.Comment: 11 pages, 2 figure

Cohort records study of 19,655 women who received postabortion care in a tertiary hospital 2010–2013 in China : what trends can be observed?

    Get PDF
The retrospective cohort epidemiological study was to investigate the characteristics of women who underwent induced abortion. Data were retrospectively collected from women who underwent induced abortions () at the Xiamen Maternity and Child Health Care Hospital (2010–2013). The characteristics of women who underwent induced abortions included mean age, unmarried status, no previous deliveries, first pregnancy, ≥2 abortions including the current one, and a history of caesarian section. From 2010 to 2013, mean age increased and declines were observed in the ratio of induced abortions to live births, the proportion of induced abortions among women of 15–24 years, those who were unmarried, had their first pregnancy, or had no history of delivery. However, the rates of induced abortions increased among women who were lactating, had a history of caesarian section, or had an interpregnancy interval of <6 months. This snapshot of induced abortions in China might suggest that the numbers are increasing but the ratio to live births has fallen. Methods should be improved to prevent unwanted pregnancies and reduce the number of induced abortions in China. It must be emphasized that differences in mentality and culture between countries might limit the representativeness of these results

BRIDGE DEVICES FOR WIRELESS PROJECTION OF VEHICLE OPERATING SYSTEMS

Vehicles may provide an infotainment experience that is hosted by a head unit or other computing device. The head unit may execute a native operating system that provides an execution environment in which an operating system client may execute to support execution of a different operating system hosted by another computing device (e.g., a smartphone, laptop computer, tablet computer, etc.). The head unit may require that the computing device physically interconnect with the head unit as the head unit may not support wireless connections (or only support limited wireless connections in the form of bandwidth limited connection – e.g., personal area network connections, such as Bluetooth® connections). Techniques described in this disclosure provide a bridge device for enabling wireless connections between the head unit and the computing devices for wireless projection of the different operating system, where the bridge device provides the physical interconnection required by the head unit while maintaining the wireless connection with the computing device to support wireless projection of the different operating system

Dense Pyramid Context Encoder-Decoder Network for Kidney Lesion Segmentation

    Get PDF
In this manuscript, an automated solution is presented for the kidney lesion segmentation. The proposed method consists of two-stage learning procedures which generating prediction masks for kidney and lesion respectively. Since we adopt 2D axial images from CT scans as evaluation data, it is critical to extract sufficient contextual information for capturing the objects varied significantly in appearance within different slices. Hence, we redesign an encoderdecoder network for more effective feature representations learning. We evaluate our method on 2019 Kidney Tumor Segmentation Challenge. There are total 210 labeled CT scans released as training and validation data. The source code can be found at: https://github.com/Zakiyi/kits_2019_segmentation_challenge
