Leadership styles are usually considered a benefit for the most companies. This style focuses the management that provides guidance and help to its team and departments while accepting and receiving the inputs from individual team members. These leaders not reserve to their activities and authority only but in actual they bother about consultation of employees. To evaluated worker’s views of their senior and top leadership team and state that this style focuses on using the skills, experience, and ideas of others. However, the leaders or managers using this style but still remains the final decision making power in the leader’s hand. To his or her credits, they will not make major decision without firstly getting the input from those that will be affected, provide proper recognition, and delegate responsibilities. The main intension of this paper is to identify and examine the leadership styles adopted in the organization. This leadership styles improve the performance in both short term and long term and can be used for any type of work project

REAL-TIME MULTI-PATIENT MONITORING SYSTEM USING ARM AND WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORK

Mobile Multi patient monitoring device has become increasingly important in Hospital wards to record real-time data during normal activity for better treatment. However, the current quality and reliability have not been satisfactory due to the size, weight, distance of coverage and also high power consumption. This paper provides a solution for enhancing the reliability, flexibility by improving the performance and power management of the real-time multi-patient monitoring system (MPMS). In the current proposed system the patient health is continuously monitored by the MPMS and the acquired data is transmitted to a centralized ARM server using Wireless Sensor Networks. A ZigBee node is connected to every patient monitor system which will send the patient\u27s vital information .Upon system boot up, the mobile patient monitor system will continuously monitor the patients vital parameters like Heart Beat, body temperature etc and will periodically send those parameters to a centralized server using ZigBee node configured as co-coordinator. If a particular patient’s health parameter falls below the threshold value, a buzzer alert is triggered by the ARM server. Along with a buzzer an automated SMS is posted to the pre-configured Doctors mobile number using a standard GSM module interfaced to the ARM server. The Doctor is continuously connected to the ARM server using GSM Module and he/she can get a record of a particular patient’s information by just posting a SMS message to the centralized ARM server. This will reduce treatment time, cost and power consumption to a greater extent. At the same time, the efficiency of examining ward will be improved by making the system more real-time and robust

Impact of teaching session on concepts of palliative care in medical undergraduates

Background: The objective of this study is to evaluate the impact of teaching session on concepts of palliative care and pain management among medical undergraduate students in a tertiary care hospital. Methods: The study was conducted in tertiary care teaching hospital among undergraduates. 152 medical students were enrolled. Pre-session questionnaire was distributed to the students and the response was obtained. This was followed by an educational lecture with power point presentation for 45 minutes and post-lecture response to the questionnaire was perceived. With comments, a qualitative mathematic analysis was carried out. Results: With response of 90% the attitude of students regarding incurable terminal illness did not change due to educational training. Comparison of knowledge and attitude in precession and post session in 4th year undergraduates was higher (p value <0.001 & <0.0001) in comparison to 2nd year undergraduates (P value <0.0002 & < 0.0005). Post session mean assessment also showed slight increase for 4th year (45.6 & 87.4) when compared with 2nd year students (42.8 & 82.12).Conclusions: Concept of palliative care was poor among medical undergraduates. Health care providers can overcome by knowledge construction, interrelation between practice and evidence based medicine

    Get PDF
In recent past, biometrics has emerged rapidly with its worldwide applications for daily living. Novel trends and new developments have been proposed to obtain and pursue many diverse biometric traits. The ignored challenge in the precedent and potential issues need to be addressed together and intensely integrated. The main objective of the paper is to keep up with the innovative technologies on some current theoretical development as well as fresh trends of biometric applications. The topics covered in this paper reflect well both aspects of development. This paper deals with the techniques used for biometric authentication and their future possibilities. This paper also focus on the applicability, strengths and weaknesses of several biometric recognition systems with a comprehensive review of the developments in this field

IMPROVEMENT OUTLAY FOR PUBLIC USER'S ON SPREAD CLOUDS

Geo-distributed clouds provide an intriguing platform to deploy online social network (OSN) services. To leverage the potential of clouds, a major concern of OSN providers is optimizing the monetary cost spent in using cloud resources while considering other important requirements, including providing satisfactory quality of service (QoS) and data availability to OSN  users. In this paper, we study the problem of cost optimization for the dynamic OSN on multiple geo-distributed clouds over consecutive time periods while meeting predefined QoS and data availability requirements. We model the cost, the QoS, as well as the data availability of the OSN, formulate the problem, and design an algorithm named. We carry out extensive experiments with a large-scale real-world Twitter trace over10 geo-distributed clouds all across the US. Our results show that, while always ensuring the QoS and the data availability as required, can reduce much more one-time cost than the state-of-the-art methods, and it can also significantly reduce the accumulative cost when continuously evaluated over 48 months, with OSN dynamics comparable to real-world cases

Solar and Dynamo Powered Ev Using Fingerprint Authentication

Nonrenewable energy sources are already interfering with the availability of electricity. Today, the primary emphasis is on the generation of electricity from renewable sources. This proposal proposes a feasible design solution in the shape of a user-friendly three-wheeler. A fingerprint-accessible electric vehicle. This electric vehicle uses solar power and a self-changing dynamo to charge its battery. The battery serves as the vehicle's power source. A microcontroller serves as the system's primary controller. It is connected to a fingerprint module, a relay, the car ignition, and an LCD. The Microcontroller reads the input from the fingerprint module and, if it is legitimate, grants access to the ignition system. The status will be displayed on the LCD. In addition, we're adding three more sensors: speed, temperature, and voltage. Lithium-ion batteries can be harmful if not used within the safety-operated area (SOA). To avoid this, we calculate the temperature of the lithium-ion battery when it exceeds 49.9?. It will make a sound through the buzzer. This can prevent damage to the battery and the person driving the vehicle. Voltage Sensor is designed to monitor battery charging and discharging time, which is displayed on the LCD. A speed sensor is used to determine the speed of the vehicle
