Background: Bone formation, growth and its vitality necessitates blood supply. Nutrient artery is the key source of blood supply to the long bone apart from the other important sources like periosteal, metaphyseal and epiphyseal arteries. Nutrient foramina allow nutrient artery. Typically, the direction of the nutrient foramina is towards the elbow joint in radius, away from its growing end. Knowledge of foramen index, number, direction and size of the nutrient foramina assists the surgeon to take and exact section of bone in case of bone resection and transplantation techniques. The aim of the present study is to determine the number, position, size direction of the nutrient foramina and the Foramen Index of the human dry radius bones. Methods: In the present study, 100 radius bones of unknown age and sex were taken into consideration from the department of anatomy Index Medical College, Indore (MP), India. Results: Most of the foramen was observed on the anterior surface of the bone. Nutrient foramina was found to be absent in 4 right sided and 3 left sided bones. The foramen index on right side was 34.92±4.97 cm whereas on the left side 34.79±4.43 cm. The nutrient foramen was directed towards the proximal end of radius in all the bones studied. Conclusions: In the present study the average length of the bone and foramina of the size larger are more on the right side when compared to the left side. The foramina are located mostly in the middle third of the bone of the anterior surface. This study may add to the present statistical data available on foramen index number of foramen and their location in the population of Indore region, during recent orthopaedic techniques like bone resection and transplantation

    Get PDF
Due to the anti-inflammatory and vasodilator effects of topical corticosteroids, they help in treating atopic eczema, psoriasis, chronic hand eczema, and localized vitiligo, among other dermatological diseases. Clobetasol propionate (CP) is the most popular topical medication used to treat plaque psoriasis. It has anti-inflammatory, antimitotic, antipruritic, and immunosuppressive characteristics. The USFDA has approved CP 0.025% cream for the treatment of moderate-to-severe psoriasis in adults. Propylene glycol, short-chain alcohols, and sorbitol-based emulsifiers are all recognized contact allergens, and the formulation has exhibited hypoallergenic effects. CP 0.025% is an effective and safe agent due to its high active ingredient penetration and minimal systemic absorption. The clinical experience of employing CP 0.025% cream in diverse dermatologic disorders is discussed in this case series, with a focus on its efficacy and safety

The present study was conducted to find out the stability and yield performances of 13 genotypes of indigenous coriander (Coriandrum sativum L.) evaluated in different agro climatic zones of Chhattisgarh. The trials were laid out in a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with three replications at three locations for three years resulting in nine environments (Genotype × year interactions). The genotypes and G × E interactions revealed significant differences at p <0.01 for seed yield indicating varieties and testing environments were distinct from each other. Additive main effects and multiplicative interaction analysis (AMMI-biplot) indicated that the yield performances of indigenous coriander genotypes were highly affected by the environments. The first two principal component axes (PCA 1 and PCA 2) were significant and they explained 67% of the total genotype x environment interaction of which 42.4% and 24.6% were represented by PCA 1 and PCA 2, respectively. A biplot generated using genotypic and environmental scores of the first two AMMI components demonstrated that genotype with larger PCA 1 and lower PCA 2 scores were high yielding and stable genotypes and genotypes with lower PCA 1 and larger PCA 2 scores were low yielding and unstable cultivars in tested locations. The genotype GC 5 C-101 (ICS 4) showed higher grain yields (16.35 q ha-1) over grand mean (13.03 q ha-1) and also had the minimum PCA 1 score, minimum AMMI stability value (ASV) and yield stability index (YSI). Therefore genotype ICS 4 (Chhattisgarh Shri Chandrahasini Dhaniya -2) showed wider stability across different agro climatic environments of Chhattisgarh

AN5D: Automated Stencil Framework for High-Degree Temporal Blocking on GPUs

Stencil computation is one of the most widely-used compute patterns in high performance computing applications. Spatial and temporal blocking have been proposed to overcome the memory-bound nature of this type of computation by moving memory pressure from external memory to on-chip memory on GPUs. However, correctly implementing those optimizations while considering the complexity of the architecture and memory hierarchy of GPUs to achieve high performance is difficult. We propose AN5D, an automated stencil framework which is capable of automatically transforming and optimizing stencil patterns in a given C source code, and generating corresponding CUDA code. Parameter tuning in our framework is guided by our performance model. Our novel optimization strategy reduces shared memory and register pressure in comparison to existing implementations, allowing performance scaling up to a temporal blocking degree of 10. We achieve the highest performance reported so far for all evaluated stencil benchmarks on the state-of-the-art Tesla V100 GPU
