    The Influence of Batak Culture Problem Based Learning Models to Junior High School Students' Computational Thinking Ability

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat perbedaan berpikir komputasi siswa dengan model pembelajaran berdasarkan masalah-berbasis budaya Batak (PBM-B3) dengan konvensional). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu. Model yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah model Pembelajaran Berdasarkan Masalah-Berbasis Budaya Batak dengan subjek penelitian 46 orang siswa kelas VIII di SMP Advent 2 Medan. Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah kemampuan berpikir komputasi siswa pada materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel (SPLDV). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir komputasi antara siswa yang diberi pembelajaran berdasarkan masalah berbasis budaya batak dengan siswa yang diberi pembelajaran langsung. Secara deskriptif diperoleh rata-rata postes eksperimen 1 adalah 86,96, sedangkan eksperimen 2 adalah 78,04. Berdasarkan indeks gain ternormalisasi, diperoleh bahwa pada uji coba II terjadi peningkatan kemampuan berpikir komputasi siswa sebesar 0,25. This research aims to determine whether there are differences in students' computational thinking with conventional problem-based learning models based on Batak culture (PBM-B3). This research is a quasi-experimental research. The model used in this research is a problem-based learning model based on Batak culture with research subjects of 46 class VIII students at SMP Advent 2 Medan. The object of this study is students' computational thinking skills in the matter of a system of two-variable linear equations (SPLDV). The results of the research show that there are differences in computational thinking abilities between students who were given learning based on problems based on Batak culture and students who were given direct learning. Descriptively, the average post-test for experiment 1 was 86.96, while experiment 2 was 78.04. Based on the normalized gain index, it was found that in trial II there was an increase in students' computational thinking abilities of 0.25 (criterion "medium")

    Reconstruction of Professional Teacher Education Program

    The Professional Teacher Education Program (in Indonesia known as Pendidikan Profesi Guru – PPG) was developed by the teacher training university by referring to Teacher Education Standards which include educational standards, research standards, and community service standards. Article 17 (1) of The Act Number 12 of year 2012 concerning Higher Education states that professional education is a higher education after an undergraduate program that prepares students for works, which need special expertise requirements. Based on this article of The Act, the competencies of PPG graduates that should include four professional teacher competencies, which are professional, pedagogical, personal and social competencies, should be more than undergraduate’s competencies. However, do the material and evaluation systems currently show such a relationship? Besides that, the social, personal, professional and pedagogical abilities of the teacher are not abilities that are mastered separately but rather the overall integration of these abilities which shows the professionalism of the teacher.     Analisis Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis Siswa Ditinjau dari Perbedaan Gender di SMP N 1 Kuta Buluh

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis: (1) kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa ditinjau dari perbedaan gender di kelas VIII-A SMP N 1 Kuta Buluh; (2) perbedaan secara signifikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa ditinjau dari perbedaan gender di kelas VIII-A SMP N 1 Kuta Buluh. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP N 1 Kuta Buluh tahun pelajaran 2021/2022. Subyek penelitian terdiri dari 28 orang siswa, Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan: (1) kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas VIII-A SMP N 1 Kuta Buluh di tinjau dari perbedaan gender menunjukkan, siswa perempuan lebih unggul, lebih baik dibandingkan siswa laki-laki. Kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa gender perempuan (tinggi, sedang dan rendah) lebih baik dari siswa gender laki-laki (tinggi,sedang dan rendah). Hal ini juga dapat dilihat dari rata-rata persentase kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa laki-laki tahap memahami masalah yaitu 41,67 %, tahap menyusun rencana pemecahan masalah yaitu 15,42 %, tahap melaksanakan rencana pemecahan masalah yaitu 25,83 %, dan tahap memeriksa kembali hasil pemecahan masalah yaitu 17,92 %. Sedangkan rata-rata persentase kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa perempuan tahap memahami masalah yaitu 64,29 %, tahap menyusun rencana pemecahan masalah yaitu 27,68 %, tahap melaksanakan rencana pemecahan masalah yaitu 25,89 %, dan tahap memeriksa kembali hasil pemecahan masalah yaitu 20,54 %; (2). Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa laki-laki dan perempuan paling tinggi pada tahap memahami masalah dan menyusun rencanan pemecahan masalah, sedangkan pada tahap melaksanakan rencana pemecahan masalah dan memeriksa kembali hasil pemecahan masalah tidak terlalu terlihat

    Development of Interactive Learning Media Based on Adobe Flash CS6 to Improve Spatial Abilities Students in Geometry Transformation

    This research aims to  1) To develop interactive learning media based on Adobe Flash Pro CS6 on valid Geometry Transformation so that it can improve students' mathematic spatial abilities;  2) To develop interactive learning media based on Adobe Flash Pro CS6 on practical Geometry Transformation material so that it can improve students' mathematic spatial abilities; 3) To develop interactive learning media based on Adobe Flash Pro CS6 on effective Geometry Transformation so that it can improve students' mathematic spatial abilities; 4) To improve students' mathematic spatial abilities by using interactive learning media based on Adobe Flash Pro CS6 on Geometry Transformation. The results showed that: 1) The validation of learning media based on Adobe Flash Pro CS6 developed is in the 'Valid' category in terms of the analysis of the validity of the learning media by the validators with a total average score of 3.64 .; 2) The developed learning media based on Adobe Flash Pro CS6 meets the criteria for practicality of learning media in terms of analysis of the results of observations of learning implementation; 3) The learning media developed has met the defined effectiveness criteria; 4) Based on the normalized gain index, it was found that in the first trial there was an increase in the value with low criteria with a score of 0.28 (N-Gain≤0.3) and in the second trial there was an increase in the value with medium criteria with a score of 0.42 ( 0.3 <N-Gain≤0.7).     Development of Mathematics Learning Devices with Problem Based Learning Model to Improve Student's Mathematical Connection Ability

    This study aims to: (1) analyze how the validity, practicality and effectiveness of learning tools developed through problem based learning models in algebra in class VII SMP Negeri 4 Tarutng; 2) analyze how to increase mathematical connection skills after using learning tools developed through algebraic material models in class VII SMP Negeri 4 Tarutung. This research is categorized into Development Research using the Thiagarajan, Semmel and Semmel learning device development model, namely the 4-D model (Four D Model). This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 4 Tarutung which is one of the junior high schools in Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra Province. The subjects in this study were grade VII students of SMP Negeri 4 Tarutung, namely grades VII-A and VII-B in the 2021/2022 academic year. The results of the study show that: (1) learning devices with Problem Based Learning are included in the valid, practical and effective categories; (2) The improvement of students' mathematical connection abilities after using the problem based learning model on algebraic material based on the average achievement of students' mathematical connection abilities based on the posttest results of the first trial was 77.75, increasing to 82.25 in the second trial. Thus, there was an increase in the average score of students' connection abilities of 4.5.     Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Matematika Knisley terhadap Pemahaman Konsep Matematis Siswa Kelas X

    This research aims to determine the effect of the Knisley mathematics learning model on the understanding of mathematical concepts in class X SMA Negeri 2 Kabanjahe. This research was conducted using a sample of 2 classes, namely the Experiment class and the Control class. The form of test that is tested on students is an initial test (pretest), then the researcher provides treatment in the experimental teaching class using the Knisley Mathematics Learning Model and in the control class using the direct learning model, Then a posttest was given to both classes. The data obtained were analyzed using the t test. The results showed that the pretest average in the experimental and control classes was the same as tested using the average similarity test (two-way test) and met   namely so  accepted. For the posttest average equality test (right side test), it was concluded that the posttest average in the experimental class was greater than the control class because it met the requirements, namely 11.6111559 > 1.66907, so  was rejected and the conclusion was obtained that there was an influence Knisley's mathematics learning model for understanding mathematical concepts for class X

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : 1) mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan spasial siswa antara siswa yang diajar menggunakan pendekatan penemuan terbimbing berbantuan Software Cabri 3D dengan metode ekspositori berbantuan Software Cabri 3D; 2) mengetahui perbedaan disposisi matematik siswa yang diajar menggunakan pendekatan penemuan terbimbing berbantuan Software Cabri 3D dengan metode ekspositori berbantuan Software Cabri 3D. Penelitian ini juga menggunakan mixed method research dimana menggabungkan antara penelitian kuantitatif dan penelitian kualitatif. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 1 Medan pada semester I, bulan Oktober minggu ke 3 tahun pelajaran 2020/2021. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan spasial matematik siswa yang diajar melalui pendekatan penemuan terbimbing berbantuan Software Cabri 3D dengan siswa yang diajar melalui metode ekspositori berbantuan Software Cabri 3D; 2) Terdapat perbedaan disposisi matematik siswa yang diajar melaluipendekatan penemuan terbimbing berbantuan Software Cabri 3D dengan siswa yang diajar melalui metode ekspositori berbantuan Software Cabri 3D.     Analisis Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Matematis Siswa Berdasarkan Soal Berbasis TIMSS

    This research aims to determine the analysis of students' mathematical critical thinking abilities based on questions based on TIMSS VIII SMP Negeri 29 Medan. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The subjects in this research were 33 students in class VIII-7 of SMP Negeri 29 Medan. The results of the research show that: (1) The average value of students' interpreting abilities is 76.01, which indicates that students' interpretation indicators are in the high category. (2) The average student score in analyzing the mathematical critical thinking ability test is 64.39, which shows that the students' analysis indicators are in the medium category. (3) The average score of students' abilities in the evaluation indicators on the mathematical critical thinking ability test is 41.48, which shows that the students' evaluation indicators are in the low category. So it is concluded that students with high abilities are only able to fulfill 2 critical thinking indicators, namely interpreting and analyzing indicators, 2 students with moderate mathematical abilities are only able to fulfill 2 critical thinking indicators and students with low mathematical abilities, there is 1 student only fulfilling 1 critical thinking indicator in One of the question numbers is the evaluating indicator in question number 3

    Analysis of Mathematical Problem Solving Ability Students Judging by Gender Differences in 1 Kuta Buluh Junior High School

    This study aims to determine: (1) students' mathematical problem solving abilities in terms of gender differences in class VIII-A SMP N 1 Kuta Buluh; (2) significant differences in students' mathematical problem solving abilities in terms of gender differences in class VIII-A SMP N 1 Kuta Buluh. This research uses quantitative and qualitative approaches (mixed methods). This research was conducted at SMP N 1 Kuta Buluh for the academic year 2021/2022. The research subjects consisted of 12 students, 6 male students and 6 female students. The results of this study indicate: (1) the mathematical problem solving ability of class VIII-A students of SMP N 1 Kuta Buluh in terms of gender differences shows that female students are superior, better than male students. It can also be seen from the average percentage of male students' mathematical problem solving abilities at the stage of understanding the problem that is 41.67%, the stage of preparing a problem solving plan is 15.42%, the stage of implementing a problem solving plan is 25.83%, and the stage of re-examining the results of problem solving is 17.92%. While the average percentage of female students' mathematical problem-solving abilities in the stage of understanding the problem is 64.29%, the stage of compiling a problem-solving plan is 27.68%, the stage of implementing a problem-solving plan is 25.89%, and the stage of re-examining the results of problem solving, namely 20.54%; (2). There is a difference in the mathematical problem solving ability of male and female students, the highest at the stage of understanding the problem and developing a problem-solving plan, while at the stage of implementing the problem-solving plan it is not very visible. It can also be seen from the average percentage of each stage of students' mathematical problem solving abilities, namely the stage of understanding the problem with a difference of 22.62%, the stage of drawing up a problem-solving plan with a difference of 12.26%, the stage of implementing a problem-solving plan with a difference of 0.06 %, and the stage of re-examining the results of problem solving with a difference of 2.62%. Overall each stage of problem solving female students are better than male students. Judging from the results of tests and interviews, it shows that male and female students have not been able to understand the problem well. It is suggested the need to improve students' mathematical problem solving abilities, students must be trained and accustomed to problem solving and the need for school socialization related to students' mathematical problem solving abilities.     Peneltian ini dilatarbelakangi dampak COVID-19 pada proses pembelajaran yang menyebabkan pembelajaran jarak jauh atau daring. Sehingga dibutuhkan alternatif atau solusi dalam mendesain pembelajaran matematika untuk meningkatkan keefektifan pembelajaran. Media-media yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran ialah Power Point, Filmora, Whatsapp Grup, Google Classroom, dan Google Formulir. Penelitian ini merupkan penelitian pengembangan yang mengacu pada model 4-D. Model 4-D dikembangkan oleh Thiagarajan yang meliputi kegiatan define (pendefinisian), design (perancangan), development (pengembangan), dan disseminate (penyebarluasan). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh perangkat desain pembelajaran berbasis ICT memanfaatkan power point, filmora, whatsapp grup, google classroom, dan googel formulir untuk meningkatkan keefektifan hasil belajar siswa yang dikembangkan sudah memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis dan efektif. Kevalidan dengan rata-rata validitas RPP sebesar 4,26, rata-rata validitas lembar kerja peserta didik sebesar 4,21, rata-rata validitas video pembelajaran sebesar 4,17, rata-rata validitas tes hasil belajar sebesar 4,28, dengan kategori valid. Kepraktisan ditinjau dari Keterlaksanaan perangkat pembelajaran pada kriteria IO = 4,5 tinggi. Keefektifan ditinjau dari peningkatan hasil belajar siswa menggunakan perangkat pembelajaran yang telah dikembangkan dilihat dari nilai N-gain pada uji coba I sebesar 0,4 meningkat menjadi 0,6 pada uji coba II, artinya berada dalam kategori “sedang”
