    Analisis Persepsi Masyarakat terhadap Sarana Hiburan Karaoke di Kota Pekanbaru

    This research on a the emergence of such entertainment karaoke in the city pekanbaru that provide services and facilities interesting .The problems emerging from the study is whether motivation visitors to karaoke in the city pekanbaru. This problem student got the quantitative approach by using statistical product service solution ( spss ) version 17.0. Sample in this research was visitors karaoke and the people in around the location karaoke as many as 97. This study was conducted in two karaoke namely karaoke centers in panam and jalan. nangka , reason writer chose a karaoke is because every day visitors in karaoke is very crowded , so writer interested to have a research in karaoke this. Data analysis technique used is product moment correlation ( ppm ) with the format likert scale .The analysis of test data using validity .Reliability test , correlation and test the hypothesis. Based on approach above , we found that the public perception positive on entertainment karaoke facilities , The more crowded visitors performs karaoke with correlation value 0.972 with a significance 0.000 with the provisions of value probability sig or 0.05 ≥ 0.000, So the hypothesis accepted the public perception is perception that positive on entertainment karaoke facilities

    The Effectiveness Of Using Dynamic Visualization In Natural Science Learning To Improve Students' Understanding In Junior High Schools

    Visualization can support an instructional process. Visualization consists of all types of nonverbal illustrations. The very rapidly computer technology enables the development of multimedia learning environment. This research was aimed at describing the effectiveness and attractiveness of the use of dynamic visualization in an instruction on transportation system and excretion in organisms. Sixty four students of grade 8 who consisted of 36 males and 28 females were used as the subjects of the research. The data of the research were collected in the form of pre-test and post-test scores in the students’ understanding of transportation system and excretion in organisms and in the attractiveness of the use of dynamic visualization in the instruction. Statistical test showed that the mean of the comprehension test before the use of dynamic visualization differed significantly from that after the use of dynamic visualization and that dynamic visualization was attractive to be used in the instruction. Hence, it can be concluded that dynamic visualization can enhance students’ understanding

    Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disease characterized by hyperglycemia due to disturbances in insulin secretion, insulin action, or both. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of the red dragon fruit juice (Hylocereus polyrhizus) to repair brain organ histopathologic female wistar rats (Rattus norvegicus Wistar strain) with diabetes. This research is a true experiment research with randomized control - group pretest - posttest design and were conducted at the in Vivo Laboratory of Wijaya Kusuma University Surabaya. Twenty five female wistar rats were randomly divided into 5 groups, normal rats group KA (without alloxan induction), diabetic rats group KB (alloxan induction and without given any red dragon fruit juices), treatment group KC (alloxan induction +  2 gr/2,5ml of red dragon fruit juices), treatment group KD (alloxan induction + 4 gr/2,5ml of red dragon fruit juices) and treatment group KE (alloxan induction + 8 gr/2,5ml of red dragon fruit juices). The study was conducted during the period of 16 days with standard feeding adaptations for 7 days. On day 16, all the rats were terminated. Glucose meter is used to measure the levels of blood glucose in rats. Histopathologic observation of rat brain tissue using a microscope Olympus CX21 with Haematoksilin eosin (HE) staining. The results showed the best dose of red dragon fruit juices to decrease blood glucose levels compare between KB and KE with significance p-value = 0.000 (α < 0.05), the blood glucose levels decreased in diabetic rats significantly between KB and KE also decreased in rat brain tissue necrosis with p-value = 0.000 (α <0.05)

    Pada studi ini, dilakukan simulasi pemasangan damping reaktor sebagai salah satu teknik mitigasi feroresonansi dengan menggunakan ATP Draw. Damping reaktor sebagai teknik mitigasi feroresonansi menggunakan elemen resistor yang dipasang di sisi primer transformer. Hasil dari simulasi pemasangan damping reaktor yang diperoleh berupa respon arus dan respon tegangan yang berubah terhadap waktu yang menunjukkan apakah feroresonansi dapat diredam atau tidak. Dari hasil simulasi pemasangan damping reaktor pada studi ini diperoleh bahwa feroresonansi dapat diredam dengan pemasangan nilai damping yang tepat. Sehingga dalam studi ini akan dibahas mengenai sejauh mana keefektifan dari pemasangan damping untuk meredam feroresonansi

    Coastal Erosion Prone Area Assessment in Klungkung Regency - Bali Coastal Area, Indonesia

    Coastal hazards affect the majority of sandy shores, and are responsible for damage to, and destruction of settlements, infrastructures, public services and sacred places in Bali’s shorelines. However, there is an absence of information regarding the extent of the erosion hazard in Klungkung Regency coastal area. This study aims to assess the suitabilityerosion prone area components and method for assessing them for Klungkung Regency Coastal Area based on available secondary data. Literature review is conducted to evaluate the existingerosion setbacks and previous studies of the location. Then the available information iscorresponded with the erosion components required. For the study location, several erosion setback components that need to be assessed include short-term erosion component, long-term erosion component, sea level rise, dune stability component, and factor safety. Subsequently, shoreline response model is utilized for assessing short-term erosion component, whilst dune scarp migration is conducted to evaluate long-term erosion component. Furthermore, Bruun’s Rule is applied to estimate the sea level rise component. It is expected that for future study, a different approach of erosion prone area assessment will be conducted, so the result from this study can be compared with.     Innovative Learning Model: Improving The Students' Scientific Literacy Of Junior High School

    In the strict challenges faced by society, a paradigm shift is needed in the education system that can provide a set of 21st century skills needed by students to deal with every aspect of global life. One of them is scientific literacy. Unfortunately, the scientific literacy ability of students in Indonesia is still low. The Inquiry and SETS models have been widely applied to improve students' scientific literacy skills. However, weaknesses are found such as: students still cannot use their content knowledge to explain scientific phenomena perfectly; and the need for more in-depth inquiry activities so that students' abilities in designing and evaluating scientific investigations obtain excellent results. Therefore, innovation was created to develop the BRADeR learning model based on consideration of the strengths and weaknesses of the inquiry model and SETS as well as theoretical and empirical support. This research serves as a preliminary study in the process of developing the BRADeR model to improve students' scientific literacy skills. This study includes a needs analysis and literature review. The results show that innovation can be maintained as a basis for developing a hypothetical model of the BRADeR learning model. The syntax of the BRADeR model includes: brainstorming, reading, analyzing, decision making, and reflection. The hypothetical model of the BRADeR learning model must be tested to meet the aspects of validity, practicality, and effectiveness to improve the scientific literacy skills of junior high school students
