    El concepto fotosíntesis en profesores de ciencias naturales, desde el análisis de sus modelos mentales

    El presente estudio, es una aproximación de los modelos mentales sobre el concepto de fotosíntesis de cuatro profesores que enseñan ciencias naturales, en 5º. de Educación Básica y en 11º. de Educación Media. Los resultados se describen desde una metodología de corte cualitativo, caracterizando dos aspectos del modelo del profesor: el constituyente ontológico y el epistemológico mediante la aplicación del modelo ONEPSI (Gutiérrez 2001; López-Mota, Arcuri-Moreno. 2014). Una vez evidenciado el modelo mental explicativo del profesor, se contrasta con el Modelo Científico del concepto fotosíntesis elaborado y finalmente, se presentan posibles alcances y limitaciones del modelo mental explicativo

    Las memorias del 1er. Coloquio de Educación para el Diseño en la Sociedad 5.0 debenser entendidas como un esfuerzo colectivo de la comunidad de académicos de la División de Ciencias y Artes para el Diseño, que pone de manifiesto los retos y oportunidades que enfrenta la educación en diseño en un contexto de cambio acelerado y rompimiento de paradigmas.El evento se realizó el pasado mes de mayo de 2018 y se recibieron más de 50 ponencias por parte de las profesoras y profesores de la División.Las experiencias y/o propuestas innovadoras en cuanto a procesos de enseñanza y aprendizaje que presentan los autores en cada uno de sus textos son una invitación a reflexionar sobre nuestra situación actual en la materia, y emprender acciones en la División para continuar brindando una educación de calidad en diseño a nuestras alumnas, alumnos y la sociedad.Adicionalmente, se organizaron tres conferencias magistrales sobre la situación actual de la educación en Diseño y de las Instituciones de Educación Superior, impartidas por el Mtro. Luis Sarale, profesor de la Universidad Nacional de Cuyo en Mendoza (Argentina), y Presidente en su momento, de la Red de Carreras de Diseño en Universidades Públicas Latinoamericanas (DISUR), el Dr. Romualdo López Zárate, Rector de la Unidad Azcapotzalco, así como del Mtro. Luis Antonio Rivera Díaz, Jefe de Departamento de Teoría y Procesos del Diseño de la División de la Ciencias de la Comunicación y Diseño, en la Unidad Cuajimalpa de nuestra institución.La publicación de estas memorias son un esfuerzo divisional, organizado desde la Coordinación de Docencia Divisional y la Coordinación de Tecnologías del Aprendizaje, del Conocimiento y la Comunicación, para contribuir a los objetivos planteados en el documento ACCIONES:Agenda CyAD2021, en particular al eje de Innovación Educativa. Es necesario impulsar a todos los niveles de la División espacios de discusión orientados a reflexionar sobre el presente y futuro en la educación del diseñador, que contribuya a mejorar la calidad de la docencia y favorezca al fortalecimiento de los procesos de enseñanza y aprendizaje.Finalmente, extiendo un amplio reconocimiento a todos los miembros de la División que hicieron posible este evento, así como a todos los ponentes y participantes por compartir su conocimiento para que la División sea cada día mejor

A notable switch of the regioselectivity from linear to branched was observed depending on the nature of the olefin employed.     Analisa as propostas classificadas como vitalistas, formuladas na França no século XVIII. Contextualiza a tradição da escola médica de Montpellier, abordando as concepções fisiológico-médicas de Théophile de Bordeu. Nesse ambiente Paul-Joseph Barthez realizou sua formação original. Sua concepção sobre a autonomia da vida também foi influenciada pela interação com círculos dos enciclopedistas de Paris. No entanto, na formulação desse conceito identificam-se igualmente ruptura e permanência com relação a ambas as linhas de pensamento - a respeito do conceito de ser humano na classificação das ciências prescrita pela Encyclopédie e na tradição típica de Montpellier

    Effect of LAB starters on technological and functional properties of composite carob and chickpea flour plant-based gurt

    Carob pulp powder and chickpea flour were used as ingredients in the formulation of a plant-based fermented beverage (gurt). Three different exopolysaccharide-producing strains (Levilactobacillus brevis AM7, Weissella confusa CK15, and Pediococcus claussenii DSM 14800) were used as starters to obtain a gurt rich in fiber and protein. L. brevis AM7 showed the fastest and more intense acidification, whereas W. confusa CK15 induced the highest viscosity increase (reaching up to 3000 mPa × s) due to the in-situ synthesis of dextran. Gurts were characterized by a high antioxidant activity (86.37 %) mainly due to the ingredients used, since it was not affected by fermentation. Depending on the strain, fermentation determined a significant decrease of gurts starch hydrolysis index. Overall, the microbiological, biochemical, and rheological features were retained during the two-weeks refrigerated storage. All exopolysaccharide-producing strains resulted suitable starters for gurt production, but their metabolic traits reflected different fermentation performances and product features. Overall, W. confusa CK15 resulted an efficient dextran producer whereas, based on the growth and acidification kinetics, L. brevis AM7 showed optimal adaptation to carob/chickpea substrate and pro-technological performance

    Egr1 maintains NSC proliferation and its overexpression counteracts cell cycle exit triggered by the withdrawal of Epidermal Growth Factor

    In adult mammals, neural stem cells (NSCs) reside in specialized niches at the level of selected CNS regions, such as the subventricular zone (SVZ). The signalling pathways that regulate NSCs proliferation and differentiation remain poorly understood. The early growth response gene 1 (Egr-1) is an important transcription factor, widely studied in the adult mammalian brain, mediating the activation of target genes by a variety of extracellular stimuli. In our study, we aimed at testing how Egr-1 regulates adult NSCs derived from mouse SVZ, and in particular the interplay between Egr-1 and the proliferative factor EGF. We demonstrate that Egr-1 expression in NSCs is induced by growth factor stimulation, and its level decreases after EGF deprivation or by using AG1478, an inhibitor of EGF/EGFR signaling pathway. We also show that Egr-1 over-expression rescues the cell proliferation decrease observed either after EGF removal or upon treatment with AG1478, suggesting that Egr-1 works downstream of the EGF pathway. To better understand this mechanism, we investigated targets downstream of both the EGF pathway and Egr-1 and found that they regulate genes involved in NSCs proliferation, such as cell cycle regulators, cyclins and cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitors
