Espaço escolar e diversidade sexual: um desafio às políticas educacionais no Brasil

This research aims to highlight the contradictory meanings within the school environment revealed through the study of the socio-spatial experiences of a group of travesties. This study analyzed thirteen in-depth interviews focused on the travestites� school experiences, which were marked by strong feelings of exclusion, suffering and discrimination. The school space presents itself as a complex environment; it reproduces the hegemonic order of heterosexuality at the same time as it stresses the constituted power as an element in the construction of a plural and diverse society.A pesquisa tem como objetivo evidenciar os significados contraditórios do espaço escolar a partir da exploração das experiências socioespaciais de um grupo de travestis. Foram realizadas treze entrevistas em profundidade em que foram rememoradas as significações produzidas por elas sobre a escola, marcadas por fortes sentimentos de exclusão, sofrimento e discriminação. O espaço escolar apresenta-se complexo, pois, ao mesmo tempo em que ele reproduz a ordem hegemônica da heterossexualidade, também tensiona o poder instituído como elemento de construção de uma sociedade plural

SPACE AND DEATH IN SOCIAL REPRESENTATIONS OF TRAVESTIS AND FEMALE TRANSSEXUALS

doi: 10.12957/geouerj.2016.19286 The research comprises how the spaces of death are represented by travestis and female transsexuals. For the construction of this paper were conducted eight interviews with travestis and female transsexuals who ware living at that time in Paraná- Brazil. The stimulation of discourse about space and death was accomplished through the use of news on this topic, conveyed in newspapers on line. The interviews were analyzed using content analysis which was enable to build and recognize the meanings of social representations created by the group on the relationship between space and death. Social representations established by the group bring the idea of increasing violence, blaming the group for its own marginality condition and moreover, brings the territory of prostitution as a possibility for life and simultaneously as well as risk of death

Espacialidades e interseccionalidades na vivência de mulheres prostitutas mães na cidade de Ponta Grossa-PR

Este artigo visa compreender como a interseccionalidade entre maternidade/maternagem e prostituição feminina de baixa renda constituem espacialidades na cidade de Ponta Grossa-PR. A partir do desempenho de papéis sociais tidos como opostos – o de mãe, associado ao amor, e o de prostituta, associado ao pecado –, entendemos que as espacialidades vividas pelas mulheres mães prostitutas transpassam esses paradoxos a partir da interseccionalidade. As experiências sociais dessas mulheres são vistas como práticas encaixadas construídas por e através do espaço. A concomitância dos dois papéis faz com que essas mulheres criem estratégias espaciais para desenvolver a prostituição e a maternidade/maternagem.This paper aims to understand how intersectionality between motherhood/ maternity and low income female prostitution compose spatiality in the city of Ponta Grossa, Paraná. Through the performance of social roles conceived as opposed to mothering that are associated to love, prostitution and sin, it is possible to understand that spatiality lived by mothers prostitutes women go through these paradoxes from the intersectionality. Social experiences of these women are seen as embodied practices built by and through space. The experience of both roles makes these women create spatial strategies to developing prostitution and motherhood/ maternity.

JAIL EXPERIENCES FROM FEMALE TRANSSEXUAL AND ‘TRAVESTIS’ IN SANTIAGO DE CHILE

This article aims to understand the constitutive elements of a prison experience to transsexual women and transvestites in Santiago de Chile. To this end, five interviews were conducted with people who were confined in male prisons. It can be argued that the female bodies that experienced the male prison developed specific experiences that involve strategies of survival and subjugation. Within the results were found the following central elements: firstly, the constitution of the female transsexual body and transvestites in relation to a precarious life trajectory. The second element is the constitution of prison experiences based on the stories of the interviewees. In this way, the article responds to the central questioning of how the prison experiences of transsexual women and transvestites are composed in the male prison space of Santiago de Chile

Necropolíticas espaciais e juventude masculina: a relação entre a violência homicida e a vitimização de jovens negros pobres do sexo masculino

This article aims understand the homicide violence as constituent element of area poor which is experienced by young men. Therefore, the outskirts idea is understood in this research as a multi-scalar, relational space (Massey, 2008) involving specific practices masculinities assembled by biopower (Foucault, 2006) and the necropolitic (Mbembe, 2011). 86 police investigations about homicide occurred between 2012 and 2015 year were analyzed at the 13a Subdivisão Policial from Ponta Grossa. The most victimized profile say about young men with 15 until 25 years old, whom lived in area poor from city. The homicide violence profile is resulting of strategies and social mechanism of life management which doing on outskirts and its young men the materialization of the death production. Este artigo tem o objetivo de compreender a violência homicida como constituidora das periferias pobres vivenciadas por jovens homens. Para tanto, a ideia de periferia pobre é compreendida aqui como um espaço relacional e multiescalar (Massey, 2008) que envolve práticas de masculinidades específicas mediadas pelo biopoder (Foucault, 2006) e pela necropolítica (Mbembe, 2011). Foram analisados 86 inquéritos policiais de homicídios ocorridos entre 2012 e 2015 da 13ª Subdivisão Policial de Ponta Grossa e das Varas Criminais da mesma cidade. O perfil mais vitimado encontrado na análise documental foi de pessoas do sexo masculino com idade entre 15 e 25 anos, moradoras de áreas periféricas pobres da cidade. O perfil da violência homicida é originado de mecanismos e estratégias sociais de gestão da vida que fazem das periferias pobres e de seus jovens homens moradores a materialização da produção da morte

Discontinuous paradoxical territory, LGBT movement, prostitution and pimping in southern Brazil

This paper discusses about the relation between discontinuous paradoxical territory, LGBT movement, prostitution and pimping in Southern Brazil. Such proposition relates to the content analysis of 22 interviews with travestis which acted in sexual services and with 7 more interviews with people acting in NGOs concerned with the travestis group. We verified that this knowledge flow is made through the participation of various social actors and it is constituted with the relations established between travestis, NGOs and owners of ‘boarding houses for travestis’, from paradoxes and complementarities between legal and illegal activities. The multiple scale of the phenomenon highlights how these relations have a mobile and indeterminate position, thus surpassing the notion that conceives categories as something fixed and it shows how complex the relations among subjects and space are.Este artigo discute a relação entre território descontínuo paradoxal, movimento LGBT, prostituição e cafetinagem no Sul do Brasil. Tal proposta relaciona-se a análise de conteúdo de 22 entrevistas realizadas com travestis que atuam na atividade sexual, mais 7 entrevistas com pessoas atuantes em Ongs que contemplam o grupo de travestis. Evidenciamos que a fluidez de conhecimento grupal se faz a partir de vários atores sociais, fluidez constituída segundo relações que se estabelecem entre travestis, organizações não governamentais e proprietárias de pensões para travestis, a partir de paradoxos e complementaridades entre atividades legais e ilegais. A multiescalaridade do fenômeno evidencia a posição móvel e indeterminada das relações, superando a noção de fixidez entre categorias, complexificando as relações entre os sujeitos e espaços
