Rutting and fatigue cracking are two apparent failure modes in a flexible pavement. They do not only shorten the performance life of a pavement but also require a lot of money and energy on repair works. This study presents a laboratory investigation of combining asphaltic concrete bituminous mix (AC) as wearing course and hot-rolled asphalt (HRA) binder course in road surfacing structure to overcome the problems. Four types of mixtures namely AC with 80 PEN bitumen grade (AC(80)), AC with 50 PEN bitumen grade (AC(50)), HRA with 50 PEN bitumen grade (HRA(50)) and HRA with 80 PEN bitumen grade (HRA(80)) were made as control specimens to compare the performance of the combination of AC wearing course and HRA hinder course, (AC(80)+HRA(50)). Results from dynamic creep test and wheel tracking test confirm that AC is more superior in reducing rutting. The combined mix provides promising findings when it surpasses rutting performance when compared to normal AC. Meanwhile HRA mix shows a longer fatigue life compared to AC. The combined mix (AC(80)+HRA(50)) shows a better resistance towards fatigue compared to AC(80). At low strain level, the former achieved a fatigue life of 1E+8 cycles while a fatigue life for the latter mix is only 9.98E+5 cycles. Thus, the usage of combined mix has potential to improve the road surfacing performance

This was a retrospective study done involving 434 patients in a university hospital over period of four years. First trimester ultrasonography were routinely offered for screening of nuchal translucency (NT) at 11 to 13+6 weeks. Morphology scan was performed at 18 to 22 weeks. Pregnancy was followed up till delivery and the information was obtained in all cases by a review of medical records

Scuba diving has experienced a gradual increase in its demand globally. This phenomenon has also affected the Tioman Islands, which was one of the most popular dive destinations in Malaysia. Although the tourism sector has seen bloomed in Tioman, the local dive industry was remaining stagnant in its performance with a continued decrease in the number of tourist arrival for diving activities since 2016. Dive operator service performance was seen as a strong motivation for dive destination selection that ought to be improved to ensure divers satisfaction and a continuous visit to the destination. However, most of the existing literature has paid little attention to diver perception toward dive operator service performance and most of the previous researcher tends to concern on environmental issues instead of managerial ones. Therefore, this study focuses to understand the divers' satisfaction towards the operator in Tioman Islands from service provider perspectives. A total of 133 divers participate in the survey of this study, using the questionnaire as the main data collection tool. Respondents consist of scuba divers who are mostly intermediate and international divers express their perception of dive operator service performance. Evaluation of dive operator service performance shows that attributes such as staff, safety, dive site, and boat are among those that satisfied by divers. This is mainly due to the professionalism of the staff at the dive site as a willingness to assist scuba diver all times. The finding also indicated that the most important attributes that contribute towards diver satisfaction were safety, price and rental equipment. Despite moderate satisfaction by the diver, these attributes give a significant impact on the dive consumption experience. Hence, the dive operator needs to take the improvement of these attributes into consideration when managing the scuba diving business. This study offers a recommendation for dive operators or other key stakeholders to take into account that related to diver perception in-service operators so that the dive experience can be improved and scuba diving tourism in Tioman achieved a high level of diver satisfaction. Acknowledging the perception of dive operator service performance helps in understanding the influence of dive operator service performance on diving satisfaction. Acquiring the information assist dive operator in promoting accurate services in order to promote higher diver satisfaction during their dive trip

We would like to report a case of a 29-year-old male patient who presented with multiple lymphadenopathy and vague symptoms of low grade fever, cough, weight loss, rashes, vomiting, dry eyes and dry mouth. Physical examination revealed submandibular lymphadenopathy, vasculitic rashes over both lower limbs, and parotid gland enlargement. Blood investigations showed mild anemia with leukocytosis, predominantly eosinophilia and high erythrocyte sedimentation rate and C-reactive protein. Computed tomography of the neck, thorax and abdomen showed bilateral submandibular, submental adenopathy, mediastinal and para-aortic lymphadenopathy with generalized reticulonodular densities in both lower lobes. There were hepatomegaly and bilateral enlarged kidneys with renal cyst. Histopathological examination from the cervical lymph node later revealed non-caseating granuloma, consistent of sarcoidosis. Patient responded well to prednisolone 50 mg daily with subsequent reduction in the size of cervical lymphadenopathy and parotid swelling
