Neurosociology is a new approach aimed at integrating social and biological sciences. In this paper, first we usedAlan Fiske’s theory (1992) of elementary forms of social relationships as a nexus between sociological studiesof groups and group-based emotions and relevant neuroscientific findings. Then, we identified types of socialsituations that generate basic emotions (happiness, anger, sadness, and fear) within particular relationships.Individuals participate differently in these situations. Therefore, they are expected to differ in their emotionsand cognitions, as well as in their underlying neural activity. Finally, we considered social affiliation and socialhierarchy corresponding to communal sharing and authority ranking social relationships to demonstrate thelogic of neurosociological research.

We’ve found that Porter’s five forces framework is useful tool to analyze industry’s competitive forces and to shape organization’s strategy according to the results of the analysis. However, in reality this framework is rather analytical tool, used by managers to better understand the industry they operate in, than strategic choice and decision-making technique. Porter’s Five Forces model, in the form it prevails now, provides the static view onto the industry structure and conditions. Therefore, it has significant limitations, and requires further improvement and development as well as combination with other techniques
