“FITTING-IN CHINA!”: SOCIAL MEDIA USE AND CROSS-CULTURAL ADAPTATION OF OVERSEAS STUDENTS

由于社交媒体在增进人们传播与互动中发挥着重要的作用，越来越多在中国的海外留学生使用社交媒体来适应新的文化和生活方式。本文以厦门大学海外留学生为例，探究本土化和国际化的移动社交平台应用是如何协助他们在中国的跨文化适应。 本研究采用两种方法：问卷调查与深度访谈法。通过调查发现本土化社交平台（如微信）与中国文化适应存在显著相关，主要体现在社交平台使用促使留学生有更多的朋友、更强的交往能力；而国际化社交平台（如Facebook）的使用并没有对当地文化的适应起负作用，而是与母国的家人交流有密切关联。通过深度访谈，发现海外留学生会使用微信同时跟与当地人和其他的海外学生交流，从而维系两类社交圈：即当地社交...As social media play an important role in promoting people’s communication and interaction, more and more overseas students in China use social media in order to adapt to a new culture and lifestyle. On the nature of the Herbig B[e] star binary system V921 Scorpii: Discovery of a close companion and relation to the large-scale bipolar nebula

Belonging to the group of B[e] stars, V921 Scorpii is associated with a strong infrared excess and permitted and forbidden line emission, indicating the presence of low- and high-density circumstellar gas and dust. Many aspects of V921 Sco and other B[e] stars still remain mysterious, including their evolutionary state and the physical conditions resulting in the class-defining characteristics. In this paper, we employ VLTI/AMBER spectro-interferometry in order to reconstruct high-resolution (lambda/2B=0.0013") model-independent interferometric images for three wavelength bands around 1.65, 2.0, and 2.3 micrometer. In our images, we discover a close (25.0+/-0.8 milliarcsecond, corresponding to 29+/-0.9 AU at 1.15 kpc) companion around V921 Sco. Between two epochs in 2008 and 2009, we measure orbital motion of 7 degrees, implying an orbital period of about 35 years (for a circular orbit). Around the primary star, we detect a disk-like structure with indications for a radial temperature gradient. The polar axis of this AU-scale disk is aligned with the arcminute-scale bipolar nebula in which V921 Sco is embedded. Using Magellan/IMACS imaging, we detect multi-layered arc-shaped sub-structure in the nebula, suggesting episodic outflow activity from the system with a period of about 25 years, roughly matching the estimated orbital period of the companion. Our study supports the hypothesis that the B[e] phenomenon is related to dynamical interaction in a close binary system.Comment: 7 pages, 2 figures, accepted by The Astrophysical Journal Letter

The paper proposes the non-canonical spectral decomposition of random functions of the traction voltages and currents. This decomposition is adapted for the electric transportation systems. Improving the efficiency, safety and manageability of oil transportation processes

The article is devoted to the analysis of the main opportunities for the digital transformation of an oil company, which are based on improving the efficiency, safety and controllability of production processes, obtaining additional economic benefits, and achieving leadership in terms of innovation. For the development and success of an oil and gas company, it is necessary to introduce measures to increase its economic growth, sustainability and competitiveness in the market. A key component of a business transformation strategy is digital transformation. The authors analysed the challenges for the digital transformation of the oil and gas industry: changing the importance of oil as an energy source, changing the market, business conditions, technology development, and environmental and social factors. The strategic directions for the development of digital transformation are considered and the main aspects of its roadmap are presented. This paper presents a conceptual idea of the organization of management of development of the Arctic area of the Russian Federation in the form of a set of target subspace. Among the possible types of target subspace comprising the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation, allocated seven subspace: basic city mobile Camps, site production of mineral resources, recreational area, fishing area, the Northern Sea Route, infrastructure protection safe existence in the Arctic. The task of determining the most appropriate theoretical approach for the development of each target subspaces. To this end, the theoretical approaches of economic growth and development of the theory of "economic base» (Economic Base Theory); resource theory (Staple Theory); Theory sectors (Sector Theory); theory of growth poles (Growth Pole Theory); neoclassical theory (Neoclassical Growth Theory); theory of inter-regional trade (Interregional Trade Theory); theory of the commodity cycle; entrepreneurial theory (Entrepreneurship Theories).В статье излагается концептуальная идея организации управления развитием Арктического пространства Российской Федерации в виде совокупности целевых субпространств. Среди возможных видов целевых субпространств, составляющих Арктическую зону РФ, выделено семь субпространств: базовые города, мобильные вахтовые поселки, территории добычи минерально-сырьевых ресурсов, территории рекреационного назначения, территории рыболовства, Северный морской путь, инфраструктура защиты безопасного существования в Арктике. Поставлена задача определения наиболее приемлемого теоретического подхода для развития каждого целевого субпространства. PCR-RFLP analysis of rbcL chloroplast gene

To identify intergeneric, interspecific, and intraspecific polymorphisms, PCR-RFLP studies of the chloroplast rbcL gene profiles were carried out using five restriction endonucleases (AluI, HpaII, BsuRI, BstHHI, BstMBI) in 14 species belonging to 6 different genera and 7 Thuja occidentalis cultivars. For all the genera studied (Pinus sp., Abies sp., Picea sp., Microbiota sp., Syringa sp., Thuja sp.), A genus-specific restriction profile characterized by a unique combination of restriction DNA fragments was revealed. The combination of enzymes used in the study did not reveal the interspecies and intraspecific variability of the rbcL gene. Species belonging to the same genus and all varieties of western thuja were characterized by identical PCR-RFLP profiles. It is assumed that further research, with the inclusion of a larger number of species and enzymes, will reveal polymorphism at the interspecies and intraspecific levels
