Properties of dwarf stars in Cygnus OB2

We present the results of investigation of five stars, originally classified as dwarfs, belonging to Cyg OB2 association, their stellar and wind properties. Using both TLUSTY and CMFGEN codes we derived effective temperatures, surface gravities, chemical abundances, mass-loss rates and projected rotation velocities. Due to the fact that distance to the stars is well known, we were able to estimate their luminosities. Using evolutionary models we estimated the ages of these sample stars and find that lower mass ones - MT282 and MT343 - belong to older population of the association. Their ages are greater than 10 Myr. The ages of three other stars - MT317, MT299, MT259 - are between 4-6 Myr.Comment: 16 pages, 10 figures, accepted for publication in PAS

Economic and Legal Policy of the State in the Field of Digital Economy

Digitalisation of the economic sphere of Ukraine is one of the priority areas of social development, which should be reflected in the economic and legal policy of the state. Therewith, a considerable gap exists in the statutory consolidation of the fundamental principles of such a policy, in particular the lack of relevant provisions on the digital transformation of the economy in the Commercial Code of Ukraine. Despite the fact that the state has adopted some acts on the development of the digital economy, there are significant gaps in the legislation, especially with regard to the role of digitalisation in the economic and legal policy of the state. The purpose of the study is a theoretical analysis of the general principles of such a policy in the modern period. As a result, the impact on the economic and legal policy of the state of the process of digitalisation of the economic sphere of the country is determined. The necessity of co-regulation is substantiated, which constitutes a combination of state regulation with self-regulation by participants of digitally-targeted markets. The role of digital resources (on the example of public registers) and electronic financial services is analysed. It is established that the modern legal support of the digital economy needs to be reformed, first of all, by supplementing the Commercial Code of Ukraine with provisions on digitalisation, including the relevant direction of economic and legal policy of the state. The results of the study have a scientific novelty, as they fill the gap in the coverage of the role of the state in the process of digitalisation of the economy. Keywords: Digitalisation, economic relations, public registers, co-regulation, financial services

The Media Image of the Multinational Transcarpathia: The Problems of the Search for Ethnic and Civil Identities

    Get PDF
The article is concerned with the media image of Transcarpathia in the light of the formation of ethnic and civil identities of the auditory of Ukraine's westernmost region. The peculiarity of this region as a part of the national information space, lies within the fact that the local mass media satisfy the information needs not only in Ukrainian, but also in Hungarian, Romanian, Russian, Romani, German, Slovak, and other languages. At the same time while residing in the borderland area and speaking several languages, the Transcarpathian audience has free access to any media product of the four neighboring EU countries. The broad palette of national and non-national media is called to facilitate the formation of the Transcarpathians' affiliation not only to their ethnic group, but also to the civil (national) identity. To the author's mind, however, an intentional separatist image of the region is emerging due to the destructive materials, the spreading of information myths both in Ukrainian and foreign mass media. The resolution of these problems is seen by the author in the creation of a distinct media system and development of a national information strategy in Ukraine and in the multi-ethnic borderland areas among others

Structure of air chemical pollution and environmental zoning for health assessment in large industrial centre

    Get PDF
The problem of contamination of the lower layer of the atmosphere in Western Siberia remains relevant more than half a century. The territory of the city of Kemerovo, a major industrial center with well-developed coal-chemical complex is an obvious example of antropotechnogenous burden on the environment and the health of the population with its climatic and geographical, weather and economic features. The aim of the study was to evaluate the structure of chemical contamination during 2005-2011 years, their interaction and the allocation of the factors that determine the ecological zoning on the example of the city of Kemerovo to identify the role of chemical pollution on the health of the population. Factor analysis revealed two latentfactors that determine the structuring of chemical pollution of the city of Kemerovo, in accordance with the wind rose and the chemical nature of the contaminants. The research shows the negative influence of chemical pollution on the health of the population of the city of Kemerovo

Bioactivity and physico-chemical properties of composites on basis of hydroxyapatite with lactic and glycolic acids oligomers

    Get PDF
A new method in situ for producing of biocompatible composites based on hydroxyapatite and oligomers of lactic and glycolic acid is described. Their thermo-mechanical, physical-chemical and biological properties are studied as well. The formation of bonds between hydroxyapatite with lactic and glycolic oligomers in composites are confirmed by IR spectroscopy of the samples, including those obtained in the Soxhlet apparatus. The formation of calciumphosphate layer on the surface of composite containing hydroxyapatite was shown by SBFinvestigation. The scaffolds based on lactic acid oligomer do not stimulate formation of a calciumphosphate layer and they are subjected to destruction by the way of hydrolysis
