Aiming at the low viscosity of polymer solution, which is compounded with fresh water but diluted with produced water, and at the problems concerning oil displacement efficiency, an onsite test on polymer solution with viscosity stabilizer (PSVS) is carried out. As a result, it has great and guiding significance to the application and popularization of viscosity stabilizer by studying the performance of polymer solution with viscosity stabilizer and its influence on oil displacement efficiency. In this paper, aiming at two different kinds of polymer solutions among which one is compounded with fresh water but diluted with fresh produced water and the other with aerated produced water, two laboratory evaluative tests concerning viscosity stabilization, anti-shear stability, fluidity, and absorbability of polymer solution as well as its oil displacement efficiency are done. The results of onsite application of PSVS are traced and analyzed. The viscosity stabilization of the polymer solution adding with viscosity stabilizer becomes much better than that of the normal polymer solution. The resistance and the residual resistance factors, the static oil sand adsorption rate and the dynamic core adsorption rate of the solution are all increased markedly. The working viscosity and oil displacement efficiency are improved markedly as well. In comparison with the polymer solution diluted with fresh produced water, the polymer solution diluted with aerated produced water is much better in terms of viscosity stabilization. Comparing with the normal polymer solution with viscosity stabilizer before sheared, the polymer solution which is sheared before adding with viscosity stabilizer performs obviously better in terms of viscosity stability. In contrast to the adjacent block injected with normal polymer solution, the block under onsite flooding test with injection of PSVS features that the average injection pressure increases slightly but keeps steady, the recovery speed of the average monthly water cut of production wells slows down, the thickness of the absorptive layers increases, and the periodic recovery rate improves as well.Key words: Polymer solution; Viscosity stabilizer; Daqing oilfiel

Solving Gravity Anomaly Matching Problem Under Large Initial Errors in Gravity Aided Navigation by Using an Affine Transformation Based Artificial Bee Colony Algorithm

Gravity aided inertial navigation system (GAINS), which uses earth gravitational anomaly field for navigation, holds strong potential as an underwater navigation system. The gravity matching algorithm is one of the key factors in GAINS. Existing matching algorithms cannot guarantee the matching accuracy in the matching algorithms based gravity aided navigation when the initial errors are large. Evolutionary algorithms, which are mostly have the ability of global optimality and fast convergence, can be used to solve the gravity matching problem under large initial errors. However, simply applying evolutionary algorithms to GAINS may lead to false matching. Therefore, in order to deal with the underwater gravity matching problem, it is necessary to improve the traditional evolutionary algorithms. In this paper, an affine transformation based artificial bee colony (ABC) algorithm, which can greatly improve the positioning precision under large initial errors condition, is developed. The proposed algorithm introduces affine transformation to both initialization process and evolutionary process of ABC algorithm. The single-point matching strategy is replaced by the strategy of matching a sequence of several consecutive position vectors. In addition, several constraints are introduced to the process of evolution by using the output characteristics of the inertial navigation system (INS). Simulations based on the actual gravity anomaly base map have been performed for the validation of the proposed algorithm

Dynamics-Driven Evolution to Structural Heterogeneity in Complex Networks

The mutual influence of dynamics and structure is a central issue in complex systems. In this paper we study by simulation slow evolution of network under the feedback of a local-majority-rule opinion process. If performance-enhancing local mutations have higher chances of getting integrated into its structure, the system can evolve into a highly heterogeneous small-world with a global hub (whose connectivity is proportional to the network size), strong local connection correlations and power law-like degree distribution. Networks with better dynamical performance are achieved if structural evolution occurs much slower than the network dynamics. Structural heterogeneity of many biological and social dynamical systems may also be driven by various dynamics-structure coupling mechanisms.Comment: Figure 2 updated. Effect of magnetic nanoparticles on apoptosis and cell cycle induced by wogonin in Raji cells

Traditional Chinese medicine is gradually becoming a new source of anticancer drugs. One such example is wogonin, which is cytotoxic to various cancer cell lines in vitro. However, due to its low water solubility, wogonin is restricted to clinical administration. Recently, the application of drug-coated magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) to increase water solubility of the drug and to enhance its chemotherapeutic efficiency has attracted much attention. In this study, wogonin was conjugated with the drug delivery system of MNPs by mechanical absorption polymerization to fabricate wogonin-loaded MNPs. It was demonstrated that MNPs could strengthen wogonin-induced cell inhibition, apoptosis, and cell cycle arrest in Raji cells by methylthiazol tetrazolium assay, flow cytometer assay, and nuclear 4′,6-diamidino-2-phenylindole staining. Furthermore, the molecular mechanisms of these phenomena were explored by western blot, in which the protein levels of caspase 8 and caspase 3 were increased significantly while those of survivin and cyclin E were decreased significantly in wogonin-MNPs group. These findings suggest that the combination of wogonin and MNPs provides a promising strategy for lymphoma therapy

Arbitrary spectral synthesis and waveform generation with HiBi fiber loop mirrors

An arbitrary spectral synthesis scheme with parallel-connecting high-birefringence fiber loop mirrors (HiBi-FLMs) based on Fourier synthesis theory has been proposed and demonstrated. Three typical spectra of triangle, rectangle and sawtooth shape have been synthesized by implementing only four HiBi-FLMs. The experimental results are in good agreement with theoretical simulations with a goodness of fit of 0.9565. Furthermore, higher precise optical spectrum with narrower bandwidth can be obtained by adopting longer polarization- maintaining fiber and more sections of HiBi-FLMs. Besides, a typical application of arbitrary waveform generation has been implemented. By incorporating with frequency-to- time mapping, triangle- and sawtooth-shaped electrical pulses with repetition rate of 1 GHz and pulse width of ~860 ps have been generate
