Matching the High Momentum Modes in a Truncated Determinant Algorithm
Within a truncated determinant algorithm, two alternatives are discussed for
including systematically the remaining ultraviolet modes. Evidence is presented
that these modes are accurately described by an effective action involving only

SWECS tower dynamics analysis methods and results
Several different tower dynamics analysis methods and computer codes were used to determine the natural frequencies and mode shapes of both guyed and freestanding wind turbine towers. These analysis methods are described and the results for two types of towers, a guyed tower and a freestanding tower, are shown. The advantages and disadvantages in the use of and the accuracy of each method are also described
Numerical Evidence for the Observation of a Scalar Glueball
We compute from lattice QCD in the valence (quenched) approximation the
partial decay widths of the lightest scalar glueball to pairs of pseudoscalar
quark-antiquark states. These predictions and values obtained earlier for the
scalar glueball's mass are in good agreement with the observed properties of

Using The Major Field Test-Business As An Assessment Tool And Impetus For Program Improvement: Fifteen Years Of Experience At Virginia Military Institute
We examine the history of VMI’s use of the Major Field Test as an assessment tool for its Department of Economics and Business. Further, we chronicle how the information gathered from a decade and a half of use has shaped the curriculum, faculty composition and policies within the Department. There is evidence that the policies surrounding how and when the Major Field Test is administered influences student performance on the test and that it can be a valuable component of a comprehensive assessment program.  
Meson Decay Constants from the Valence Approximation to Lattice QCD
We evaluate , , , and , extrapolated to physical quark mass, zero
lattice spacing and infinite volume, for lattice QCD with Wilson quarks in the
valence (quenched) approximation. The predicted ratios differ from experiment
by amounts ranging from 12\% to 17\% equivalent to between 0.9 and 2.8 times
