Parallel ways in the contemporary pictorical realism: Antonio Lopez and Euan Uglow
The precision in the painting is the main basis in the work of Antonio Lopez and Euan Uglow. Both, from places and different contexts, develop a measurement system to represent with the highest fidelity real space. To apprehend reality the two artists need a few tools and resource materials (sinkers, threads) that allow geometrizar space. The straight forms (wires and real objects) are transformed into arcs of a circle that represent the decline of the objects in sense altitudinal and latitudinal
The curvilinear perspective as result of the architectural measurement and spatial determinants in the work of Antonio López
[EN] This study aims to demonstrate that the curvilinear perspective in the world of Antonio López is obtained, exclusively, through the measurement of reality. The architecture also plays a decisive role since its rectilinear nature shows the distortion of shapes, which depends on spatial determinants the artist uses.
Water is an essential substance for the normal course of human and animal life. The shortage of fresh water on
planet Earth is a growing problem over time, so the search for systems capable of treating salt water is on the
rise since the mid-twentieth century.
To contribute to these investigations, in this work a small prototype is developed to desalinate seawater with
the energy support of a solar disk with an integrated gas microturbine. To that end, in the first place, a
bibliographic review has been carried out to choose a geometry and optical characteristics of the components
of a solar disk to calculate the optical performance of the concentrator. Next, the hourly power that reaches the
receiver has been calculated based on the radiation incident on the opening area of the model's concentrator.
Finally, with the performance of the gas microturbine - which turns out to be 90% - and the power in the
receiver, the power generated by the microturbine is obtained, with which it is fed to the pump of the
desalination application. Simulating this process, the flow of desalinated water is obtained according to the
hourly incident radiation, generating almost 8,000 m3 of desalinated water with a single solar paraboloid disk.
Rubén Guerrero’s (Utrera, 1976) pictorial work offers a constant review of the essential fundamentals of the painting, paying special attention to the process, the practice of the painting as motive of reflection. It poses a dispute between two-dimensionality and three-dimensionality, figuration and abstraction, denial of the background and the figure, and reality and fiction. Traditionally, conflicting dualities that dialogue and support themselves create a new conceptual space: the bordering areainfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio

The importance of precision in Antonio López García». Following the pictorial chronol-ogy of the work of Antonio López, it is clear that he begins with the orthodox system he learnt in Fine Arts, he then goes on to develop the leaning picture and fi nally implements the spherical perspective. In order to analyse this evolution and verify the growing preci-sion of the forms, we must study the basic geometrical information provided by the works of art and we can then compare them with the photo-collage performed on our bathroom model, a motif represented so many times by the artist. In the vertical perspective pictures, Antonio has not yet developed a strict measuring methodology and therefore the shapes refl ect inevitable imbalances. It is in the tilted picture where the painter refl ects a view more committed to reality and for this he resorts to tools (set square and compass), which allow him to be more precise. If the aspect of the verticals is altered in this system, in the follow-ing one (the curvilinear one) all aspects (altitude and latitude) are aff ected. Th ese formal changes are due to the longitudinal transcriptions of the real elements, together with great intuition, since the artists lacked theoretical knowledge of spatial systems. Nonetheless, Antonio achieved a growing physical exactitude
Exemplification and putting into practice of curvilinear perspective through the method of the painter Antonio López.
There are some guides on curvilinear perspective as geometric system that present the basic concepts that define it.However, in pictorial practice, that method is not applicable because it is based on an ideal conception(static monocular vision, semispherical plane of projection) that doesn't arise from reality. The painter Antonio López (Tomelloso, 1936) practices this perspective as a consequence of a formal evolution (he had previously developed vertical and inclined picture perspective). To carry it out, López needs a more precise measuring methodology than the one he learnt during his formative years. He would apply it making use of a self-made wooden set square and a compassUsing this teaching experience, we pretend to combine theory and practice in pictorial creation. First of all, the students will acquire some knowledge of geometry that comes froma specific bibliography, and finally, they experiment and familiarize themselves with this curvilinear perspective by means of the painter's method
Globalized reality in contemporary figurative painting. The virtual file as strategy
[EN] Contemporary globalized society influences present painting, regardless of its location, which thrives on the constant flow of information, on the changing technology and on the images we consume through different media.
The artist's own reality, as inevitably of all individuals, is composed by physical and vivid experiences on the Internet. The first that tell us about the artist’s nearby and daily environment are the images of natural reality, which he incorporates in the artwork. The latter belong to a distant and unknown reality. It is a window to the world, an appropriation of the social community which we are part of. Both realities form a new painting, as also a new identity between the real and virtual and the local and global.
Many artists work with an indexed and constantly reviewed image database coming from the Internet. We detect different strategies in file working: from Andrea Canepa’s accurate search who traces from a previous script; through the associations made by Javier Martin, from a single word comes up a series of images; to José Carlos Naranjo’s intuitive tries who’s carried away by impressions and sensations.

José Carlos Naranjo (1983) is a young Andalusian painter who feels trapped by the work of Francisco de Goya, an obsession that leads him to insist again and again on the whims and Nonsense. Reflects on the role of men in our society, for it, conceals the faces of the characters that inhabit marginal spaces, the periphery of the city. It is at night where these stories happen, because this promotes the fantasy, reverie. The result is a powerful image where the real protagonist is the idea, an invitation to reflection and to resolve the questions raisedinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio
