    AN ANALYSIS OF VIOLATION OF COOPERATIVE PRINCIPLE IN “ALICE IN WONDERLAND” MOVIE SCRIPT

    This research aims at analyzing the violating of cooperative principles presented in the “Alice in Wonderland” movie script. The research questions of this research are: 1) what kinds of violation maxim are used by the characters in “Alice in Wonderland” movie script; 2) What maxim is most violated in “Alice in Wonderland” Movie script. The objectives of this research are 1) to find out the kinds of violation maxim are used by the characters in “Alice in Wonderland” Movie script” and “To find out the most violated in “Alice in Wonderland” Movie Script.” This research used the descriptive qualitative method. The data were taken from the utterances among the characters in the “Alice in Wonderland” movie script. The data were collected by searching and downloading the movie, watching the movie, reading the movie script, coding the data, re-watching, and re-reading, capturing of image and data reduction. The method of analyzing data consists of presenting the data into conversation and image, describing the data, interpreting data, and making conclusions to answer the research questions. The result of this research shows there are 18 violations of the maxims, they are: the violating maxim of quantity is 8 data, it happens because the speaker gives excessive or little information; the violating maxim of quality is 4 data, it happens because the speaker gives untruth information or say something lie; the violating maxim of relevance are 4 data, it happens because the speaker gives irrelevant information; the violating maxim of manner are 2 data, it happens because the speaker gives unclear or ambiguous information. The most violated maxim is the maxim of quantity

    Attempts to attain knowledge as certified true belief have failed to circumvent Hume’s injunction against induction. Theories must be viewed as unprovable, improbable, and undisprovable. The empirical basis is fallible, and yet the method of conjectures and refutations is untouched by Hume’s insights. The implications for statistical methodology is that the requisite severity of testing is achieved through the use of robust procedures, whose assumptions have not been shown to be substantially violated, to test predesignated range null hypotheses. Nonparametric range null hypothesis tests need to be developed to examine whether or not effect sizes or measures of association, as well as distributional assumptions underlying the tests themselves, meet satisficing criteria

    Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk mengkaji kesalahan penggunaan kalimat dalam abstrak skripsi mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia Universitas Flores tahun 2019-2021. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan penelitian ini adalah analisis teks, karena data yang dikaji bersumber dari teks. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kalimat yang digunakan dalam abstrak skripsi mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia Universitas Flores tahun 2019-2021 belum sesuai dengan kaidah bahasa Indonesia yang baik dan benar.     The purpose of this research is to introduce Ende's culture in the form of anecdotes, which some teenagers today have never recognized an anecdote from the area where they were born. This is if we continue to let the Anecdote, as one of the cultural heritages of Ende in the form of Oral Literature, will eventually become extinct. They know the Anecdote from the Indonesian version. The approach used is a qualitative approach because the data collected is in the form of verbal words that are systematic and not in the form of statistical numbers. The method chosen in this study is the listening and speaking method, and the techniques used in this study are the recording technique, the note-taking technique and the listening technique. Data were analyzed based on the interactive model developed by Miles and Huberman, which includes four components, namely, data collection, data reduction, data display and conclusion /verification. The results show that in the Ende language anecdote there are many meanings and moral messages that we can make as guidelines for family life and social interaction in the community environment

    This study aims to determine and describe the ability of grade VII students of SMP Negeri Ine Pare for the 2020/2021 academic year in determining the intrinsic elements of Bintang di Gubuk short story by Yohanes E. L. Ofong. The approach used in this study is a quantitative approach because the data obtained using numbers. The data collection method used to obtain data in this study is the test method. In this study, researchers used essay tests to determine the ability of student learning outcomes. The theory used is literary theory and learning outcomes evaluation theory. The results of this study indicate that the seventh grade students of SMPN Ine Pare for the academic year 2020/2021 are able to determine the intrinsic elements of "Bintang di Gubuk" short story by Yohanes E.L Ofong. It is said like that because the results of data analysis show that the students' abilities reached 85.29% of the 29 students. Meanwhile, 5 people who did not complete it with a presentation of 14.70%

While the theory used is Sociolinguistics and Bilingualism theory especially about code switching. The results of data analysis show that in the student communication process there is code switching used by fifth semester students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program at the University of Flores for the 2022/2023 academic year divided into two, namely: (1) code switching from Indonesian to regional languages and ( 2) code switching from regional languages to Indonesian
