    ABSTRACT Breast milk is the main and most perfect food for babies. Where breast milk contains almost all nutrients with a composition that suits the baby's needs to grow and develop optimall . Data from the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2016 shows that the average exclusive breastfeeding in the world is around 38%. In Indonesia, as many as 96% of women have breastfed their children in their lifetime, but only 42% have received exclusive breastfeedin. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between employment status, early initiation of breastfeeding, and husband's support simultaneously with exclusive breastfeeding at the Sungai Menang Health Center, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency in 2022. This study used an analytical survey method with a Cross Sectional approach. This research was carried out by the Sungai Menang Health Center, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency in 2022. With a total sample of 94 respondents, the sampling technique used was the accidental sampling technique. The variables that must be studied are independent (occupational status, early initiation of breastfeeding and husband's support) and dependent (exclusive breastfeeding). The results of the statistical test of the chi-square variable of employment status obtained value = 0.012, early initiation of breastfeeding variable value = 0.005, and husband's support variable value = 0.000 this indicates that there is a significant relationship between employment status, early initiation of breastfeeding and husband's support for exclusive breastfeeding. at Sungai Menang Health Center, Ogan Komering Ilir District in 2022 &nbsp

    Spatial and verbal routes to number comparison in young children

    The ability to compare the numerical magnitude of symbolic numbers represents a milestone in the development of numerical skills. However, it remains unclear how basic numerical abilities contribute to the understanding of symbolic magnitude and whether the impact of these abilities may vary when symbolic numbers are presented as number words (e.g., \u201csix vs. eight\u201d) vs. Arabic numbers (e.g., 6 vs. 8). In the present study on preschool children, we show that comparison of number words is related to cardinality knowledge whereas the comparison of Arabic digits is related to both cardinality knowledge and the ability to spatially map numbers. We conclude that comparison of symbolic numbers in preschool children relies on multiple numerical skills and representations, which can be differentially weighted depending on the presentation format. In particular, the spatial arrangement of digits on the number line seems to scaffold the development of a \u201cspatial route\u201d to understanding the exact magnitude of numerals

    Contextual Centrality: Going Beyond Network Structures

    Centrality is a fundamental network property which ranks nodes by their structural importance. However, structural importance may not suffice to predict successful diffusions in a wide range of applications, such as word-of-mouth marketing and political campaigns. In particular, nodes with high structural importance may contribute negatively to the objective of the diffusion. To address this problem, we propose contextual centrality, which integrates structural positions, the diffusion process, and, most importantly, nodal contributions to the objective of the diffusion. We perform an empirical analysis of the adoption of microfinance in Indian villages and weather insurance in Chinese villages. Results show that contextual centrality of the first-informed individuals has higher predictive power towards the eventual adoption outcomes than other standard centrality measures. Interestingly, when the product of diffusion rate pp and the largest eigenvalue λ1\lambda_1 is larger than one and diffusion period is long, contextual centrality linearly scales with eigenvector centrality. This approximation reveals that contextual centrality identifies scenarios where a higher diffusion rate of individuals may negatively influence the cascade payoff. Further simulations on the synthetic and real-world networks show that contextual centrality has the advantage of selecting an individual whose local neighborhood generates a high cascade payoff when pλ1<1p \lambda_1 < 1. Under this condition, stronger homophily leads to higher cascade payoff. Our results suggest that contextual centrality captures more complicated dynamics on networks and has significant implications for applications, such as information diffusion, viral marketing, and political campaigns

    Interpreting the dependence of mutation rates on age and time

    Mutations can arise from the chance misincorporation of nucleotides during DNA replication or from DNA lesions that are not repaired correctly. We introduce a model that relates the source of mutations to their accumulation with cell divisions, providing a framework for understanding how mutation rates depend on sex, age and absolute time. We show that the accrual of mutations should track cell divisions not only when mutations are replicative in origin but also when they are non-replicative and repaired efficiently. One implication is that the higher incidence of cancer in rapidly renewing tissues, an observation ascribed to replication errors, could instead reflect exogenous or endogenous mutagens. We further find that only mutations that arise from inefficiently repaired lesions will accrue according to absolute time; thus, in the absence of selection on mutation rates, the phylogenetic "molecular clock" should not be expected to run steadily across species.Comment: 5 figures, 2 table

    Abstrak: Peningkatan Keterampilan Proses Sains Siswa Pada Pembelajaran IPA Materi Pokok Sumber Daya Alam Melalui Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Sains Teknologi Masyarakat. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran IPA masih menerapkan teacher centered. Hal tersebut mengindikasikan masih rendahnya Keterampilan Proses Sains (KPS) siswa serta pembelajaran IPA menjadi kurang bermakna. Model pembelajaran sains teknologi masyarakat memfasilitasi siswa menghubungkan antara konsep sains dan teknologi dalam kebermanfaatannya di lingkungan masyarakat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan sebanyak tiga siklus. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan KPS berdasarkan hasil observasi yaitu dari kategori cukup terampil menjadi terampil. Adapun hasil KPS dari tes secara umum berada pada kategori sedang dan terdapat peningkatan ketuntasan belajar secara klasikal meningkat dari kategori kurang (siklus I) menjadi baik (siklus II) dan sangat baik (siklus III). Dengan demikian, dapat diajukan rekomendasi bahwa keterampilan proses sains siswa pada materi pokok sumber daya alam dapat ditingkatkan dengan model pembelajaran sains teknologi masyarakat pada siswa kelas IVB SDN 3 Cibodas Kecamatan Lembang Tahun Ajaran 2013/2014. Kata Kunci: keterampilan proses sains, sumber daya alam, model pembelajaran sains teknologi masyarakat Abstract: The Improvement of Students’ Science Process Skill in Natural Science Learning in Natural Resources Basic Materials through the Application of Technology of Society Science Learning Model The problem of this research is Natural Science learning still applies teacher centered. This case indicates that Students’ Science Process Skill is still in low level. Moreover, it leads to meaningless Natural Science Learning. Technology of society science learning model facilitates students to connect science concept and the advantage of technology in society environment. This research applied Class Action Research method. Additionally, this research was done until three cycles. According to observation result, this research showed that there was improvement of Science Process Skill namely from adequate into competent category. Besides, generally, the result of Science Process Skill was in moderate category. In addition, there was the improvement of learning completeness in class from less category (cycle I) into good category (cycle II) until excellent category (cycle III). Hence, it could be recommended that student’s Science Process Skill in Natural Resources Basic Material could be improved by technology of society science learning model in students of IVB SDN 3 Cibodas Kecamatan Lembang in 2013/2014
