The article presents the application of the method for determining the quantitative parameters of erythropoiesis to patients with acute leukemia. The objective of the work is an investigation of erythropoiesis cytokinetic parameters under the normal health conditions and during the development of the acute lymphoblastic leukemia and the acute myeloblastic leukemia. It was found that the distribution of reticulocytes shifts towards an increase of immature reticulocyte fraction while the ratio between maturing and immature cells remains unchanged. The method presented can be used in clinical diagnostic and scientific research of bone marrow hematopoietic activit

Shapes of the 192,190^{192,190}Pb ground states from beta decay studies using the total absorption technique

The beta decay of 192,190^{192,190}Pb has been studied using the total absorption technique at the ISOLDE(CERN) facility. The beta-decay strength deduced from the measurements, combined with QRPA theoretical calculations, allow us to infer that the ground states of the 192,190^{192,190}Pb isotopes are spherical. These results represent the first application of the shape determination method using the total absorption technique for heavy nuclei and in a region where there is considerable interest in nuclear shapes and shape effects

Early onset of ground-state deformation in the neutron-deficient polonium isotopes

In-source resonant ionization laser spectroscopy of the even-AA polonium isotopes 192210,216,218^{192-210,216,218}Po has been performed using the 6p37s6p^37s 5S2^5S_2 to 6p37p6p^37p 5P2^5P_2 (λ=843.38\lambda=843.38 nm) transition in the polonium atom (Po-I) at the CERN ISOLDE facility. The comparison of the measured isotope shifts in 200210^{200-210}Po with a previous data set allows to test for the first time recent large-scale atomic calculations that are essential to extract the changes in the mean-square charge radius of the atomic nucleus. When going to lighter masses, a surprisingly large and early departure from sphericity is observed, which is only partly reproduced by Beyond Mean Field calculations.Comment: As submitted to PR

Siberian Regions in Changing Eurasian Relations: Navigating New Geopolitical and Economic Realities

This article summarizes the authors’ report at the All-Russian Science to Practice Conference, “Russian Economy: on the Way of Structural Transformation,” which took place in Krasnoyarsk on March 1, 2023. It discusses the challenges that Siberian regions are facing in adapting to the new economic and geopolitical situation and explores the possible outlines of a new economic development model. The authors examine changes in transboundary interactions in modern Russia and identify the important role that Siberia plays as the core of the country’s new configuration within the Eurasian economic, scientific, and technological network. The report highlights problematic issues in implementing the so-called “eastern vector” of Russia’s spatial development and concludes that the Strategy for Socio-Economic Development of the Siberian Federal District till 2035 has become a mere formality within an inefficient system of state regulation of spatial development and state regional policy and its institutions. The authors argue that, in the new geopolitical and economic context, the focus of regional strategic planning in Siberia should shift towards problem-oriented program documents, which provide justification and mechanisms to support priority regional investment and innovation projects. These may include programs for reindustrialization, import substitution, and the formation of new regional growth point

The article is dedicated to the investigation of preliminary purification methods for liquid radioactive wastes from organic admixtures. This impurities complicate localization, concentration and recycling radioactive wastes. Conditions of practically qualitative precipitation 60Co from technological solutions have been founded.

    Coulomb excitation of 73Ga

The B(E2; Ii -> If) values for transitions in 71Ga and 73Ga were deduced from a Coulomb excitation experiment at the safe energy of 2.95 MeV/nucleon using post-accelerated beams of 71,73Ga at the REX-ISOLDE on-line isotope mass separator facility. The emitted gamma rays were detected by the MINIBALL-detector array and B(E2; Ii->If) values were obtained from the yields normalized to the known strength of the 2+ -> 0+ transition in the 120Sn target. The comparison of these new results with the data of less neutron-rich gallium isotopes shows a shift of the E2 collectivity towards lower excitation energy when adding neutrons beyond N = 40. This supports conclusions from previous studies of the gallium isotopes which indicated a structural change in this isotopical chain between N = 40 and N = 42. Combined with recent measurements from collinear laser spectroscopy showing a 1/2- spin and parity for the ground state, the extracted results revealed evidence for a 1/2-; 3/2- doublet near the ground state in 73 31Ga42 differing by at most 0.8 keV in energy

© 2016 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group. Objectives: The objective of this study was to study the association of polymorphisms MTHFR C677T (rs1801133) and MTR A2756G (rs1805087) with the risk of varicose veins in ethnical Russians. Methods: We genotyped 475 patients with varicose veins, 168 individual without chronic venous disease, and the population-based group of 896 subjects. Association was studied using logistic regression analysis adopting co-dominant, additive, recessive, and dominant models of inheritance. Results: None of the polymorphisms showed a statistically significant association with the risk of varicose veins. Conclusions: Our results provide evidence that the studied polymorphisms do not contribute to genetic susceptibility to varicose veins in ethnical Russians
