    Spatial and temporal filtering of a 10-W Nd:YAG laser with a Fabry-Perot ring-cavity premode cleaner

    We report on the use of a fixed-spacer Fabry–Perot ring cavity to filter spatially and temporally a 10-W laser-diode-pumped Nd:YAG master-oscillator power amplifier. The spatial filtering leads to a 7.6-W TEMinfinity beam with 0.1% higher-order transverse mode content. The temporal filtering reduces the relative power fluctuations at 10 MHz to 2.8 x 10^-/sqrtHz, which is 1 dB above the shot-noise limit for 50 mA of detected photocurrent

    The title compound, C36H30NP2 +·I−, was obtained accidently from crystallization of a reaction mixture containing [(Ph3P)2N]OH and B(OH)3, which was contaminated with MeI. There are two independent [(Ph3P)2N]+ cations and two I− anions within the asymmetric unit. The central PNP angles are non-linear [137.6 (2) and 134.4 (2)°] and the phenyl substituents on P centres adopt different conformations within these two cations

    We derive a novel multiple integral representation for a generating function of the \s^z-\s^z correlation functions of the spin-\2 XXZ chain at finite temperature and finite, longitudinal magnetic field.     We derive finite temperature versions of integral formulae for the two-point correlation functions in the antiferromagnetic XXZ chain. The derivation is based on the summation of density matrix elements characterizing a finite chain segment of length mm. On this occasion we also supply a proof of the basic integral formula for the density matrix presented in an earlier publication.Comment: 35 page

    Algebraic Bethe ansatz for the gl(1|2) generalized model II: the three gradings

    The algebraic Bethe ansatz can be performed rather abstractly for whole classes of models sharing the same RR-matrix, the only prerequisite being the existence of an appropriate pseudo vacuum state. Here we perform the algebraic Bethe ansatz for all models with 9×99 \times 9, rational, gl(1|2)-invariant RR-matrix and all three possibilities of choosing the grading. Our Bethe ansatz solution applies, for instance, to the supersymmetric t-J model, the supersymmetric UU model and a number of interesting impurity models. It may be extended to obtain the quantum transfer matrix spectrum for this class of models. The properties of a specific model enter the Bethe ansatz solution (i.e. the expression for the transfer matrix eigenvalue and the Bethe ansatz equations) through the three pseudo vacuum eigenvalues of the diagonal elements of the monodromy matrix which in this context are called the parameters of the model.Comment: paragraph added in section 3, reference added, version to appear in J.Phys.

    Form factor expansion for thermal correlators

    We consider finite temperature correlation functions in massive integrable Quantum Field Theory. Using a regularization by putting the system in finite volume, we develop a novel approach (based on multi-dimensional residues) to the form factor expansion for thermal correlators. The first few terms are obtained explicitly in theories with diagonal scattering.
