Ontologien zum Bereitstellen von Gestaltungswissen am Beispiel von Ingenieurkeramik = Ontologies for design knowledge retrieval using the example of advanced ceramics

The research objectives of the presented work are to analyze the possibilities of representing and retrieving design knowledge in product development using ontologies and the definition of a specifically adapted approach for ontology development. This approach is applied to the development of an ontology-based ceramic-design information system. The potentials and limits of ontologies are analyzed within this exemplary application and advices for a successful use of ontologies are derived
