Moral and political are two things that cannot be separated. The marriage of a regent in Garut regency, Indonesia, with an underage girl eventually leads to community action, where people demand the regent to resign from his position as a regional head. It was not even four days of marriage the regent had divorced his young wife via a short message from his own mobile phone. Therefore, the people of Garut suddenly expressed their wrath through a large-scale demonstration which pushedthe Local House of Representative immediately to process the regent’s removal. This research utilized a qualitative approach with a case-study method, the data in this research relied on the practice of in-depth interviews, observations, and documentaries. This research succeeded to observe that the general factor which underlying the action of demonstration in Garut which demanded the resignation of the regent was caused by the political climate change of democratization in the national level which also impacted Garut Regency. The national politicalclimate change increased the unconventional public participation in Garut and provided political sphere for non-state actors to establish political-involvement balance between state actors and non-state actors themselves. In other hand, the specific underlying factor on this case is the regent’s behavior which was judged as the act of dishonorable humiliation on women’s dignity, especially his speech in some national television channels. The power of this study lies on its novelty, filling in lubrication and study originality, towards the moral and ethical behavior as the new object on Social Movement.  &nbsp

Wireless Measurement Technique for Telemetry Low-Value Resistive Sensors

    Get PDF
AbstractThe measurement of different quantities in harsh environments, such as those at high temperatures and/or in hermetic environments, presents considerable difficulties due to various factors, including the characteristics of the harsh environment itself, which do not allow the proper use of the electronics and / or using connection cables between the harsh and the safe environment. An adoptable solution is given by passive telemetry systems that include a passive sensor placed inside the harsh environment. Non-contact techniques are adopted to read the quantities. The measurement technique that is proposed may be adopted for resistive sensors. The system consists of a resistive sensor that is connected to an inductor and coupled to a second inductor positioned externally. The external inductor is connected to the readout electronics and permit, using the proposed technique, to calculate the value of the sensor resistance. The adopted telemetric technique is based on a measurement of the impedance at the terminals of the readout inductor and on a mathematical elaboration to extract the sensor resistance. The circuit model of the telemetric system is presented, several consideration on the telemetric technique are reported based on simulations and experimental results

This research objective was to examine the integrity of the election organizers by analyzing the factors that led to the issuance of the Constitutional Court Decision Number: 12/PHP.BUP-XIX/2021 regarding the recount of the 2020 Simultaneous Regional Head elections in Sekadau Regency. It was known that the lawsuit resulting from the recapitulation of votes was filed by the pair Rupinus-Aloysius as the incumbent. The pair received 56,479 votes or 49.2 percent. Meanwhile, the rival pair Aron-Subandrio received 58,023 votes or 50.8 percent. This research used a descriptive qualitative method through a case study approach, which examined a "single instrumental case". Data collection techniques were done through an informant interview (in-depth interview) and document studies. The data was obtained by taking directly from the sources of the General Election Commissions, The General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu), and the Sub-district Election Committees of Sekadau Regency. The research results first showed the organizers' negligence factor during recapitulation by entering Form C. The results of KWK Holograms from 65 Polling Stations (TPS) in the Belitang Hilir Sub-district into one box must remain in the box at each Polling Station. Second, the Sekadau Technical Guidance Factor of General Election Commissions (Bimtek) for Commitment Making Officer was not optimal. The technical guidance focused on using the Recapitulation Information System (Sirekap) for two days. When the process/ stages were carried out without integrity, the election results were also not with integrity, i.e., it is due to the organizers' poor integrity.AbstractThe objective of the study is to study on the integrity of general election organizers by analyzing some causative factors of why constitutional court issues decree number: 12/PHP.BUP-XIX/2021 about recounting on simultaneous region head election 2020 at Sekadau Regency. As we know that a vote recapitulation lawsuit was filed by candidate pair of Ropinus-Aloysius as incumbent. This candidate pair got 56,479 votes or 49.2 percent. Meanwhile, candidate pair of Aron-Subandrio as competitor got 58,023 votes or 50.8 percent. This study applies qualitative descriptive method through case study, by studying a “single instrumental case”. In depth interview and document study were applied as data colletion technique. The data were obtained directly from the offices of KPU (general election commission), general election superintendent, and PPK (subdistrict election committee) of Sekadau Regency. The result of the study shows that, Firs, factor is that organizer’s negligence when recapitulating by putting Form C, result of KWK Hologram from all TPS –voting place (65 TPS) at Belitang Hilir subdistrict together in one box, the Form should be put in the box of each TPS. Second factor Technical Guidance (Bimtek) from KPU (general election commission) of Sekadau towards PPK is less maximum, during two days of Technical Guidance (Bimtek), it focused on discussing how to use recapitulation information system (Sirekap). When processes/steps are conducted without integrity, then the general election result is lack of integrity, this is caused by bad integrity of the organizers.

In the latest years, the need of a renewed paradigm for healthcare arose promoting the research towards the idea of remote diagnosis, care and monitoring of physiological parameters. Thus, the wearable and eskin devices arose to be embedded in the standard medical equipment. In this work, a preliminary study on flexible AJP-printed temperature sensors is reported in order to propose a novel approach to evaluate infection sites, monitor the body temperature and compensate the effects of temperature on other on-body sensors. Two different geometries are proposed, designed, produced, evaluated and compared. The results shown a similar dependance on temperature (average TCR = 2.5 ∙ 10 -3 °C-1) and the dependance on substrate deformation was enquired as well as the geometrical features of the sensors

Flat type thick film inductive sensors

    Get PDF
Two thick film flat-type inductive sensors are described and tested for distance and profile measurement. The first one is a single-layer spiral while the second one is a multi-layer structure consisting of ten spirals one over the other. The paper describes their geometric configurations together with their simulated magnetic fields and it reports the results from the characterization test i.e. the series-equivalent circuit parameters, the sensitivity and the cross-sensitivity to temperature. An experimental analysis of the sensitivity suggests that optimized values are obtained by an appropriate choice of the working frequency. The sensors are shielded against e.m. noise coming from the nonsensitive area. Moreover, two sensors have been tested in the laboratory using the single layer as a distance sensor and the multi-layer as a transducer for the measurement of a metallic object profile. The results of the tests show a maximum sensitivity of 14mV/µm and a resolution of 0.6 µm for the single layer, while the multi layer one reconstructs the profile with an axial resolution of a few microns and a lateral resolution better than 200 mm

Light sheet fluorescence microscopy has previously been demonstrated on a commercially available inverted fluorescence microscope frame using the method of oblique plane microscopy (OPM). In this paper, OPM is adapted to allow time-lapse 3-D imaging of 3-D biological cultures in commercially available glass-bottomed 96-well plates using a stage-scanning OPM approach (ssOPM). Time-lapse 3-D imaging of multicellular spheroids expressing a glucose Förster resonance energy transfer (FRET) biosensor is demonstrated in 16 fields of view with image acquisition at 10 minute intervals. As a proof-of-principle, the ssOPM system is also used to acquire a dose response curve with the concentration of glucose in the culture medium being varied across 42 wells of a 96-well plate with the whole acquisition taking 9 min. The 3-D image data enable the FRET ratio to be measured as a function of distance from the surface of the spheroid. Overall, the results demonstrate the capability of the OPM system to measure spatio-temporal changes in FRET ratio in 3-D in multicellular spheroids over time in a multi-well plate format
