Generally, strategic mindset here can be classify into two orientation, artist and scientist.Given that the mindset there is related to way of gathering information or way of thinking, the research here attempts to identify what kind pattern of thinking that can create high entrepreneurial orientation. Research here is more focus about entrepreneurs at the individual level, not in the context of companies or organizations.     Objectives of the study is to analyze causal relationships among five variables. The first three, development of industry influenced to the development of economy (economic growth), to concentration of industry, and to welfare. Second, concentration of industry pushed the economic growth. The third three, the international trade influenced to concentration of industry, to economic growth, and to welfare. Finally, the impact of economic growth to welfare. This analysis using structural equation modeling (SEM) and found that five of eight relationships were significant and the rest were insignificant. First, development of industry negatively influenced concentration of industry. Second, international trade pushed concentration of industry. Third, concentration of industry also pushed economic growth. Fourth, international trade positively influenced economic growth. Finally, the economic growth positively influenced welfare. The development of industry was insignificant influence to the economic growth, and positively influenced to welfare. It is negativite relation was caused by dispersion of the location of industry, so resulted low economies of scale. International trade was negatively influenced welfare. Policy implication obtained from the whole analyses, especially for the East Java Provincial Government. In order to improve performance of the economy, it is suggested employing the Integrated Territory-provincial Planning based on comparative advantage among regions

    This paper examines the development of manufacturing in East Java in comparison with other major industrial provinces in Indonesia, with a focus on employment, output and investment in the pre-and-post crisis periods. East Javaā€™s ā€˜winnerā€™ and ā€˜loserā€™ industries and the geographical distribution of manufacturing in the province are described. The paper attempts to account for manufacturing patterns in East Java in terms of infrastructure constraints, the investment climate, access to finance and the relationship between central, provincial and local governments, following the advent of regional autonomy. The paper finds that East Java manufacturing has been less export oriented and responsive to global demand, thus failing to match the performance of the other major manufacturing centres in Indonesia

    Factors Influencing the Implementation of Cooperative Learning: Elementary School Teacher Education Department Studentsā€™ Perspectives

    Several factors influence the administration of cooperative learning courses, including the learning model, collaboration, social behavior and attitude, and heterogeneity. This study aims to identify the factors that assist or impede the implementation of cooperative learning courses in two Elementary School Teacher Education Departments (PGSD) involving 40 students. The researchers used an approach known as purposeful sampling, in which they selected the sample by identifying particular features that were consistent with their research objectives and were expected to be able to provide solutions to research problems. This research was conducted at two private universities in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. A qualitative descriptive questionnaire was used to collect information on the supporting and inhibiting variables of cooperative learning. Grades in Indonesian language classes have been correlated with a group effort in completing assignments (78.75%). A contributing component, the students' propensity for cooperative learning in the academic appreciation course (78%), emerges subsequently. Another aspect is the desire to complete the assignment (77.25%). Furthermore, factors that encourage cooperative learning are investigated. More suitable media facilities are essential (75%), given that the brilliant students predominate (80.75%) but familiarize themselves with cooperative learning. These facts imply that cooperative learning lays the foundation for academy students' participation, engagement, and problem-solving to be implemented during the learning and teaching processes

    Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk  mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh secara bersama ataupun terpisah antara variabel independen (kompetensi profesional guru, fasilitas pembelajaran, dan motivasi belajar) terhadap variabel dependen  (hasil belajar IPS). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, semua informasi atau data yang diperoleh diwujudkan dengan angka dan analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis statistik. Sedangkan metode yang digunakan adalah metode regresi linier berganda, yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh antara empat variabel. Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 407 orang yang berasal dari siswa kelas IX di SMPN 2 Pandaan, sedangkan penulis mengambil sampel hanya sejumlah 140 siswa saja. Dari hasil pengujian, didapatkan variable bebas yakni kompetensi profesional guru, fasilitas pembelajaran, dan motivasi belajar berpengaruh signifikan secara simultan terhadap hasil belajar IPS di SMPN 2 Pandaan. Variabel kompetensi profesional guru memiliki kontribusi terbesar terhadap hasil belajar IPS yakin sebesar 0,101. Variabel kompetensi profesional guru, fasilitas pembelajaran, dan motivasi belajar mampu menjelaskan variabel hasil belajar IPS sebesar 34,6%

    The objective of this research was to obtain information concerning the effect of perceived organizational support, team characteristics and quality of work life toward employee organizational commitment at the State University of Jakarta by using a survey method with path analysis applied in testing hypothesis. It involved 64 employee at the State University of Jakarta as respondent who were selected by simple random sampling. This research findings were as follows (1) there was a direct effect of perceived organizational support toward organizational commitment; (2) there was a direct effect of team characteristics toward organizational commitment; (3) there was a direct effect of quality of work life toward organizational commitment; (4) there was a direct effect of perceived organizational support toward quality of work life; (5) there was a direct effect of team characteristics toward quality of work life. Therefore, organizational commitment could be improving by rising the effect of perceived organizational support, team characteristics and quality of work life. &nbsp
