O presente dossier temático sistematiza as grandes linhas de reflexão apresentadas no painel das Relações Internacionais do II Congresso Internacional de Comunicação e Redes Sociais na Sociedade da Informação, que decorreu na Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa entre os dias 31 de Março e 1 de Abril de 2021

All Sky Camera, LIDAR and Electric Field Meter: auxiliary instruments for the ASTRI SST-2M prototype

ASTRI SST-2M is the end-to-end prototype telescope of the Italian National Institute of Astro- physics, INAF, designed to investigate the 10-100 TeV band in the framework of the Cherenkov Telescope Array, CTA. The ASTRI SST-2M telescope has been installed in Italy in September 2014, at the INAF ob- serving station located at Serra La Nave on Mount Etna. The telescope is foreseen to be completed and fully operative in spring 2015 including auxiliary instrumentation needed to support both operations and data anal- ysis. In this contribution we present the current status of a sub-set of the auxiliary instruments that are being used at the Serra La Nave site, namely an All Sky Camera, an Electric Field Meter and a Raman Lidar devoted, together with further instrumentation, to the monitoring of the atmospheric and environmental conditions. The data analysis techniques under development for these instruments could be applied at the CTA sites, where similar auxiliary instrumentation will be installed.Comment: Proceedings of the 2nd AtmoHEAD Conference, Padova (Italy) May 19-21, 201

Inclusive and exclusive neutrino-nucleus cross sections and the reconstruction of the interaction kinematics

We present a full kinematic analysis of neutrino-nucleus charged current quasielastic interactions based on the Local Fermi Gas model and the Random PhaseApproximation. The model was implemented in the NEUT Monte Carlo framework, which allows us to investigate potentially measurable observables, including hadron distributions. We compare the predictions simultaneously to the most recent T2K and MINERvA charged current (CC) inclusive, CC0$\pi$ and transverse kinematic-imbalance variable results. We pursuit a microscopic interpretation of the relevant reaction mechanisms, with the aim of achieving in neutrino oscillation experiments a correct reconstruction of the incoming neutrino kinematics, free of conceptual biasses. Such study is of the utmost importance for the ambitious experimental program which is underway to precisely determine neutrino properties, test the three-generation paradigm, establish the order of mass eigenstates and investigate leptonic CP violation

Plataforma de gamificació per educació superior

En aquest treball he après i aplicat conceptes de gamificació amb l'objectiu de desenvolupar una part important d'una plataforma de gamificació per educació superior, el TOP Enginyeria. La motivació d'aquest desenvolupament ha sigut el decrement de la nota mitjana dels estudiants del Grau en Enginyeria Informàtica causat en part per la seva desmotivació. Amb la inclusió d'aquesta plataforma dins de l'àmbit educatiu es perseguia l'objectiu d'incentivar els alumnes oferint una dinàmica de treball més entretinguda gràcies a la gamificació. Els resultats obtinguts han sigut força bons, ja que els alumnes admeten la utilitat i motivació que una plataforma així exerceix sobre ells, tot i que la participació ho ha estat l'esperada per altres motius. D'ara endavant aquesta plataforma servirà a alumnes d'anys vinents a veure l'educació d'una altra manera i a viure una experiència gamificada dins la universitat.The aim on this project is to develop a gamification platform for college students in order to motivate them and increase their marks. During this period I have learned and applied gamification concepts to achieve this objectiuve and build this site. The main trigger of the its execution has been the constant decrease of the average rating that our Computer science degree students have been showing these last years, most partialy caused by their demotivation. With the inclusion of this web platform we seek to encourage the students including a more fun experience into the education system dynamic. The results were quite good since the users have accepted the utility and the motivation that this platform aims to achieve even though their participation was not the expected for unknown reasons. Form now on, TOP Enginyeria will help future students to see the education from other points of view and to live a gamificated experience in the university.En este trabajo he aprendido y aplicado conceptos de gamificación con el objetivo de desarrollar una parte importante de una plataforma de gamificación para la educación superior, el TOP Enginyeria. La motivación de este desarrollo ha sido el decremento de la nota media de los alumnos del Grado en Ingeniería Informática causado en parte por su desmotivación. Con la inclusión de esta plataforma en el ámbito educativo se persigue el objetivo de incentivar a los alumnos ofreciendo una dinámica de trabajo más entretenida gracias a la gamificación. Los resultados logrados han sido buenos puesto que los alumnos admiten la utilidad y motivación que una plataforma de estas características ejerce sobre ellos, aunque su participación no ha sido la esperada por motivos desconocidos. A partir de ahora esta plataforma servirá a los futuros alumnos del grado a ver la educación desde otra perspectiva y a vivir una experiencia gamificada en la universidad

ddRAD-seq para el análisis de asociación genómico de los principales caracteres agronómicos y calidad organoléptica en melocotonero

PósterDouble-digest RAD sequencing (ddRAD-Seq) is a powerful method for SNP discovery at a genome-wide scale. It relies on breaking the genome into a certain size of DNA fragments using two restriction enzymes: i) one common cutter with a short recognition site and ii) a low frequency cutter having a large recognition motif . Amplification step in library preparation can introduce PCR artefacts. Those are expected to skew allele frequency by increasing homozygosity leading to false genotype calls. In this context, we carried out a comparison study between DNA-variants generated with duplicates and those generated after removing with either "'SAMtools:rmdup" or "Stacks clone filter". On the other hand, the accuracy of genetic variants identification is a crucial step towards understanding phenotypical traits and monitoring breeding programs. Thereby, a good combination of computational tools for alignment and variant calling is crucial to tackle the possible artifacts. In response to this challenge, three variant callers (BCFtools, Freebayes and GATK-HaplotypeCaller) were combined on top of the BWA-mem read mapper. SNPs derived from the intersection of these callers were used for a genome wide association study to genetic variants associated with agronomic and organoleptic traits (In this poster, we illustrate only one study case trait). A diverse set of 90 peach accessions were sampled from the Experimental Station of Aula Dei (CSIC) located at Zaragoza (northern of Spain).
