THE IMPACT OF E-LEARNING WITH (SYAM-OK) DURING PANDEMIC ON ENGLISH LEARNING RESULTS OF STUDENTS AT ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING EDUCATION DEPARTMENT OF MAKASSAR STATE UNIVERSITY
The COVID-19 pandemic, which began in early 2020, had an impact on all industries, especially education. The government issued an order requiring students to study at home and thus eliminating face-to-face learning. Distance learning or online is a good solution to continue the learning process. This type of learning is referred to as e-learning. The research goal was to see how e-learning with (SYAM-OK) affected the value of learning for English courses at Makassar State University Department of Electronic Engineering Education, Faculty of Engineering. This population study consists of 125 students from the Department of Electronic Engineering Education, Faculty of Engineering, Makassar State University, who are enrolled in the S1, D4, and Vocational Mechatronics Study Programs. The sampling technique was purposive sampling, namely 85 students who programmed even semester English courses. Ex-post facto research with a quantitative descriptive method was used. According to the regression equation y = 14.888 + 0.812x, there is a 0.785 effect of e-learning with (SYAM- OK) on the value of learning results. This correlation value indicates that the two variables have a strong relationship. The calculated f value is 133.560, and the f table value is 3.956 (df1=1; df2=83). The regression correlation analysis revealed that 61.7 % of the influence of the e-learning variable (SYAM-OK) on the value of learning outcomes was influenced by other factors, while 38.3% was influenced by other factors

SATCHMO-JS: a webserver for simultaneous protein multiple sequence alignment and phylogenetic tree construction.
We present the jump-start simultaneous alignment and tree construction using hidden Markov models (SATCHMO-JS) web server for simultaneous estimation of protein multiple sequence alignments (MSAs) and phylogenetic trees. The server takes as input a set of sequences in FASTA format, and outputs a phylogenetic tree and MSA; these can be viewed online or downloaded from the website. SATCHMO-JS is an extension of the SATCHMO algorithm, and employs a divide-and-conquer strategy to jump-start SATCHMO at a higher point in the phylogenetic tree, reducing the computational complexity of the progressive all-versus-all HMM-HMM scoring and alignment. Results on a benchmark dataset of 983 structurally aligned pairs from the PREFAB benchmark dataset show that SATCHMO-JS provides a statistically significant improvement in alignment accuracy over MUSCLE, Multiple Alignment using Fast Fourier Transform (MAFFT), ClustalW and the original SATCHMO algorithm. The JPL telerobotic Manipulator Control and Mechanization (MCM) subsystem
The Manipulator Control and Mechanization (MCM) subsystem of the telerobot system provides the real-time control of the robot manipulators in autonomous and teleoperated modes and real time input/output for a variety of sensors and actuators. Substantial hardware and software are included in this subsystem which interfaces in the hierarchy of the telerobot system with the other subsystems. The other subsystems are: run time control, task planning and reasoning, sensing and perception, and operator control subsystem. The architecture of the MCM subsystem, its capabilities, and details of various hardware and software elements are described. Important improvements in the MCM subsystem over the first version are: dual arm coordinated trajectory generation and control, addition of integrated teleoperation, shared control capability, replacement of the ultimate controllers with motor controllers, and substantial increase in real time processing capability

Thyroid hormones levels in nephrotic syndromeBackground: Nephrotic syndrome is one of the most found kidney disease. A great part (>99%) of circulating thyroid hormones were bound to proteins, thus derangements of blood proteins in nephrotic syndrome are potential to disturb thyroid hormones levels. This study was aimed to compare thyroid hormones levels changes in childhood Nephrotic Syndrome before and after remission.Method: Thirty four nephrotic syndrome patients studied on Department of pediatric of Dr. Kariadi Hospital, Semarang between April 1995 to June 1996 were for albumin, cholesterol, thyroid and thyroid stimulating hormone levels before and after remission and were tested with Wilcoxon signed rank test. The correlation between albumin and thyroxin levels before and after remission. were analyzed with Spearman correlation test.Results: T4 level before remission was 26.89±16.12 nmol/L, TSH 9.36±5.51 IU/ml, and after remission T4 106.63±28.02 nmol/L,TSH 1.78±1.91 μIU/mL. There were significant changes of thyroid hormones levels before and after remission (z=5.09; p=0.000). There were positive correlation between blood protein (albumin) level and thyroid hormone (T4) level in nephrotic syndrome before remission (r=0.51; p=0.000) and after remission (r=0.38; p=0.004). A great proportion of nephrotic syndrome patients, suffered from hypothyroidism and return to euthyroid after remission.Conclusions: Thyroid hormone levels changed during the course of nephrotic syndrome
Mesenchymal stem cells promote alveolar epithelial cell wound repair in vitro through distinct migratory and paracrine mechanisms.
BACKGROUND: Mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) are in clinical trials for widespread indications including musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiac and haematological disorders. Furthermore, MSC can ameliorate pulmonary fibrosis in animal models although mechanisms of action remain unclear. One emerging concept is that MSCs may have paracrine, rather than a functional, roles in lung injury repair and regeneration. METHODS: To investigate the paracrine role of human MSC (hMSC) on pulmonary epithelial repair, hMSC-conditioned media (CM) and a selected cohort of hMSC-secretory proteins (identified by LC-MS/MS mass spectrometry) were tested on human type II alveolar epithelial cell line A549 cells (AEC) and primary human small airway epithelial cells (SAEC) using an in vitro scratch wound repair model. A 3D direct-contact wound repair model was further developed to assess the migratory properties of hMSC. RESULTS: We demonstrate that MSC-CM facilitates AEC and SAEC wound repair in serum-dependent and -independent manners respectively via stimulation of cell migration. We also show that the hMSC secretome contains an array of proteins including Fibronectin, Lumican, Periostin, and IGFBP-7; each capable of influencing AEC and SAEC migration and wound repair stimulation. In addition, hMSC also show a strong migratory response to AEC injury as, supported by the observation of rapid and effective AEC wound gap closure by hMSC in the 3D model. CONCLUSION: These findings support the notion for clinical application of hMSCs and/or their secretory factors as a pharmacoregenerative modality for the treatment of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and other fibrotic lung disorders
