    For the last two semesters we have been conducting a research on the law of male rape in Malaysia and other jurisdictions namely in United Kingdom, United States, Singapore and Australia. In our research we concentrated on both form of the crime which is sodomy and female raping male issue. Seemingly, the latter form of male rape is being taken lightly around the world. Nonetheless we found that the law of sodomy is getting the recognition it deserved although the development has been slow and still in some area, insufficient. Therefore it is fundamental for a research to be conducted on this topic. The importance of enacting such laws therefore can be analyzed as a whole. In Malaysia, we have tried to analyze and discuss Section 377 of the Penal Code thoroughly in order to ascertain its effectiveness in combating the crime of sodomy. The result is in the negative. Thus, amending the section or enacting a new and more extensive law is practical and much needed. In completing our project paper, we have distributed questionnaires concerning male rape to 400 respondents. The outcome of the questionnaires is as we expected. A majority of the respondents is aware of such crime but still obscure regarding the law that govern the offence. Among the important questions that were asked in the questionnaires was whether the respondents are aware that a female rapist may escape scot-free from the crime of male rape and whether a specific provision on male rape should be enacted in the Penal Code. We benefited a lot from the answers that we managed to gather through the questionnaires. However, our research is also based on our readings of various books and materials that we find in online. After two semesters, we finally finished doing our project paper on a comparative study on the law of male rape in Malaysia and other jurisdictions

The objective of this study is to identify the 3D elements needed to build a school environment, design and develop a virtual reality application simulation application program that can be developed and evaluate the function of this 3D simulation application can help teachers teach and learn in schools. In addition, the use of applications such as simulators is basically for research and educational purposes. This study uses the ADDIE model used in the development of a 3D simulation application for this Multimedia Production subject. Simulation is capable of producing a virtual world of the surrounding atmosphere and a real environment. This Multimedia Production subject learning simulation can give students an idea of the learning environment in school. There is no denying that the use of simulation applications is not widespread as most of the available applications mostly focus on skills such as aeroplane piloting. With this, applications such as simulators are developed to give students an experience of the virtual learning environment

    Detection Technique of Squamous Epithelial Cells in Sputum Slide Images using Image Processing Analysis

    A good quality sputum is important to detect diseases. The presence of squamous epithelial cells (SEC) in sputum slide images is important to determine the quality of sputum. The presence of overlapping SEC in sputum slide images causes the process become complicated and tedious. Therefore this paper discusses on technique of detection and summation for Squamous Epithelial Cell (SEC) in sputum slide image. We addressed the detection problem by combining K-means and color thresholding algorithm. The design of aided system is evaluated using 200 images and the proposed technique is capable to detect and count each SEC from overlapping SEC image. Total of 200 images were clustered to 10 groups, labelled as Group Cell 1 to group Cell 10 that correspond to the number of cells in the image. Therefore, each group will contain 20 images. The accuracy of the algorithm to detect SEC was also measured, and results show that in 91% which provides a correct SEC detection and summation

    Pengecilan saiz antarahubung dalam papan litar bercetak (PCB) membawa kepada migrasi elektrokimia (ECM) dan kemudiannya menyebabkan litar pintas. ECM merupakan salah satu jenis kakisan yang ketara menjejaskan kebolehtahanan kakisan kepada peralatan elektronik. Migrasi ini ialah fenomena ion logam bergerak dari satu kawasan ke kawasan yang lain di dalam medium logam, menyebabkan endapan berlaku di bahagian katod logam ataupun aloi. Justeru, kajian ini dijalankan untuk menentukan kelakuan kakisan melalui ujian titisan air (WDT) pateri bebas plumbum Sn-3.0Ag-0.5Cu (SAC305) di dalam larutan natrium hidroksida (NaOH) yang berbeza kepekatan iaitu 0.05M, 0.1M, 0.5M dan 1.0M. Purata masa-ke-kegagalan (MTTF) pateri SAC305 berkurangan apabila didedahkan kepada medium larutan NaOH yang semakin tinggi kepekatannya. Pembentukan dendrit dikesan selepas kakisan pateri SAC305 akibat proses ECM dan menyebabkan litar pintas. Hasil kakisan Cu(OH)2 dan SnO2 juga didapati terbentuk selepas pateri terkakis. Bopeng kecil kelihatan terbentuk terutamanya pada kepekatan yang tinggi adalah disebabkan oleh perlarutan pada anod Sn

    Energy consumption control of an air-cooled chiller from the use of an automatic on/off timer system: a real case study of the Penang state mosque

    The manual operation of an ON/OFF controller that is being widely used in the air-cooled chiller of the air conditioning system is found to have resulted in a significant daily variation of electricity usage. As such, this study had aimed to investigate the effect from the application of a pre-programmed auto timer control system (ADTCS ON/OFF) on the performance of an air-cooled chiller and its main components in the Penang State Mosque. The ADTCS ON/OFF that had been developed for both the indoor and outdoor usage was installed to an existing air conditioning electrical distribution board (DB) via an external control panel, which had consisted of a selector switch with a timer operation, a power supply, an ON/OFF push button for the AHU, a lamp indicator as well as that of a digital timer (brand Honeywell HWTHC711A). Apart from demonstrating the implementation of the ADTCS ON/OFF control system as contributing to a more consistent operation time, this study had also shown the manual operation of the air-cooled chiller as contributing to an impactful loss of approximately 9.6 hours or 3182 kWh on a normal day when being compared to that of the ADTCS ON/OFF control system. Since the findings from this research had shown the use of an ADTCS ON/OFF control system in the air-cooled chiller system as providing a positive implication of the monthly electricity cost to the Penang State Mosque and the mosque institutions as a whole, this therefore suggests that a big savings of expenditure can also be achieved from the implementation of such a system
