    The banking industry, especially Islamic Banking in Indonesia, experiences rapid yearly development. This development is influenced by increasing performance. This study aims to examine the effect of zakat and intellectual capital on the performance of Islamic Banking in Indonesia. The sampling technique used was the purposive sampling method. Data obtained from the annual report of Islamic Banking in Indonesia registered with The Central Bank of Republic of Indonesia and The Financial Services Authority from 2011-2020. Data analysis is carried out with validity tests, reliability tests, and hypothesis tests with the help of SPSS applications. The results showed that zakat and intellectual capital variables proved to have no effect on the performance of Islamic Banking in Indonesia for the 2011-2020 period

    Local ecological knowledge is closely linked to decision-making process for planting tree. The aims of this study are to describe and explain local community's decision-making process in the selection of shading treeson their lands according to their understanding and knowledge. This study used case study approach. Data was collected through in-depth interviews and observations. The results of the study showed that to manage traditional agroforestry, the community planted nutmeg (Myristica fragrans) as the main crop species and selected the covering trees, such as walnuts (Canarium sp.) and durian (Durio sp.). The reasons in selecting shading trees were as follows: the suitability of biophysical condition; supporting nutmeg growth; ease of maintenance and harvesting activities; parental inheritance; yield diversity; and ease of marketing activities. Learning from the study, the government and relevant stakeholders are expected touse local ecological knowledge to support the development of community forestry

    This study aims to determine the quality of public services at the Ambon City’s Population and Civil Registration Service Offices, and the dimensions of employee professionalism which are supporting and inhibiting factors for improving the quality of public services at the Ambon City’s Population and Civil Registration Service Offices. The data was collected in this study were analyzed using descriptive qualitative analysis techniques through steps, or components of interactive model data analysis. Data collection techniques used through this research are interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate, the level of quality of public services by the administering apparatus of the field of population administration and civil registration at the Ambon City’s Population and Civil Registration Service is in sufficient condition, this is a contribution of the employee's work professionalism factor

    THE EFFECT OF SELF-EFFICACY AND WORKLOAD ON EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE THROUGH MEDIATING VARIABLES OF JOB SATISFACTION

    The purpose of this study is to determine the impact of self-efficacy and workload on employee performance through the mediating variables of job satisfaction in regional financial and asset management institutions in West Java Province. The importance of knowing and analyzing employee performance is the fundamental reason for government activities and government goals in West Java Province to be achieved optimally. This study adopted a quantitative approach using primary and secondary data. The research data was collected using a questionnaire-form instrument, measured using Likert scale. The sample of this study included 122 government officials as respondents. The collected data is then analyzed gradually, starting from testing the validity and reliability of the question items on the research instrument, then testing classical assumptions so that the data can be used for the next stage. Additionally, the data were analyzed by conducting multiple regression to determine the direct impact of self-efficacy variables and workload on employee performance. The path analysis used in this study aimed to identify the indirect effects of self-efficacy variables and workload on employee performance through job satisfaction variables. The research results show that self-efficacy and workload have a significant impact on employee performance, with a determination value of 67.4%. Job satisfaction can have a positive and significant impact of 11.4%. The analysis results of the job satisfaction variable path can mediate the impact of self-efficacy and workload on employee performance.     Soil characteristics in sago land show hydro-morphic character as well as gleization symptoms because it is periodically influenced by wet and dry conditions. Differences in soil characteristics formed are observed under sago stands in different inundation conditions and their effect on the units of soil formed. This study aims to identify the characteristics of the soil under the sago stand in various conditions of inundation. The survey and sampling were conducted at four sample locations and observed three different environmental conditions: not inundated, permanently inundated, and temporarily inundated. The results showed that there were significant differences between the four research sample locations, both soil and hydrological parameters, such as the number of layers, soil texture, soil color, pH, soil consistency, organic matter, and inundation conditions. This characteristic affected the soil under the sago standing environment. The condition of the depth of groundwater was rather deep, and the inundation was temporarily stagnant. Thus according to the observations, there was not too significant a difference from the soils; only differences in the production of sago plants were found

    Indonesia merupakan negara kepulauan yang besar di dunia dan terdiri dari 5 pulau besar serta 30 pulau kecil. Masyarakat di kepulauan Kei Kecil melaksanakan aktivitas tangkap ikan dengan berbagai macam jenis-jenis alat tangkap yang tujuannya untuk menangkap ikan yang sedang beroperasi pada perairan. Kepulauan Kei dikelilingi dengan pulau-pulau kecil serta laut yang menyebabkan masyarakat hidup bergantungan di laut. Laut merupakan tempat untuk masyarakat dapat mencari nafkah, sehingga tidak boleh sembarangan terhadap laut. Hasil penangkapan ikan akan dijual pada masyarakat di desa,kemudian dari hasil penjualan ikan tersebut merupakan pendapatan yang nantinya dapat membeli kebutuhan dalam keluarga. Pendapatan yang dihasilkan dari penjualan ikan tersebut tidak sebanding dengan pendapatan yang dihasilkan oleh para penjual ikan lainnya, karena para nelayan menjual hasil tangkapannya hanya pada masyarakat desa sehingga kondisi ekonomi yang dihasilkan kecil. Masyarakat pesisir di kepulauan Kei masih menggunakan alat tangkap yang sederhana  penangkapan ikan maupun udang di laut menggunakan alat tangkap yang ramah lingkungan. Tetapi ada juga beberapa masyarakat yang masih menggunakan bom untuk menangkap ikan di laut secara sembunyi-sembunyi. Tipe penelitian merupakan cara pertama yang dipakai peneliti agar mencapai tujuan dan menentukan jawaban dari masalah yang didapatkan (GAMAL THABRONI, 2021). Tipe yang biasa dipakai untuk penelitian kualitatif adalah tipe penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk menggambarkan secara keseluruhan juga mendalam mengenai kenyataan sosial serta berbagai fenomena yang terjadi pada masyarakat dan menjadi subjek sehingga secara rinci menggambarkan ciri, karakter, sifat serta model dari fenomena yang diteliti. Maka tipe penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif yang menganalisis serta mengambil data Aktivitas nelayan tangkap ikan dan kondisi sosial ekonomi di Desa Warbal Kecamatan Kei Kecil Barat Kabupaten Maluku Tenggara.Nelayan adalah orang yang sehari-hari bekerja menangkap ikan maupun biota laut lainnya yang hidup di dasar laut, kolom maupun permukaan air. Perairan yang dijadikan kawasan aktivitas nelayan tersebut bisa berupa perairan tawar, laut maupun payau. Sedangkan di negara berkembang pada Asia Tenggara ataupun Afrika masih banyak nelayan yang memakai alat sederhana pada saat menangkap ikan. Kondisi sosial ekonomi merupakan sebuah kedudukan yang diatur secara sosial dan menempatkan seseorang di posisi tertentu dalam masyarakat, pemberian posisi itu disertai pula dengan seperangkat hak dan kewajiban yang harus dimainkan oleh si pembawa status. (Manaso Malo 2001) memberikan batasan mengenai kondisi sosial ekonomi yakni,merupakan sebuah kedudukan yang diatur secara sosial dan menempatkan seseorang pada posisi tertentu dalam sosial masyarakat. Masyarakat nelayan adalah salah satu bagian masyarakat yang hidup untuk mengelola potensi sumber daya sebagai masyarakat yang tinggal di dekat pesisir pantai, masyarakat nelayan memiliki karakter sosial tersendiri yang terdapat perbedaan dengan masyarakat yang tinggal di daratan

    This research is motivated by the frequent occurrence of employee turnover in a company or business organization which has an impact on work productivity in the company due to lack of work motivation and employee work discipline. Therefore, work productivity is very important to be applied to this company to achieve the goals that have been set. The purpose of this study is the effect of motivation on the work productivity of employees of PT. Salawati Motorindo Sorong. This study uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. data collection by questionnaire technique. Respondents in this study as many as 56 people who are employees at PT. Salawati Motorindo Sorong. Hypotheses were formulated and tested using simple linear regression analysis. The results showed that there was a positive effect of 0,189 and significantly less than 0,05 between work motivation on employee productivity. Meanwhile, for the correlation coefficient interval relationship, there is a value of 0,40 – 0,599 or a moderate level of correlation. Meanwhile, the coefficient of determination is 0.198 or 19.8% and 80.2% is influenced by other factors

    Beberapa tahun belakangan ini, olahraga bola basket di Indonesia sangat berkembang. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari tambah banyaknya turnamen atau pertandingan yang ada, dari golongan SMP, SMA, universitas sampai antar daerah dan provinsi. Turnamen yang ada sekarang memiliki persaingan yang sangat ketat untuk meraih juara. Faktor tersebutlah yang menjadi alasan tim-tim yang akan bertanding mempersiapkan tim mereka dengan sangat baik agar pemain yang bermain dalam tim akan memberikan yang terbaik untuk tim tersebut. Hal ini membuat jajaran pelatih sering menemui kesulitan dalam menentukan daftar nama pemain yang akan dibawa dalam suatu kejuaraan untuk mendapatkan hasil maksimal. Kesulitan yang biasa dialami dalam menentukan daftar pemain itu seperti kemampuan individu pemain setiap posisinya sama rata. Pada tugas akhir ini, data setiap pemain yang akan mengikuti seleksi PraPON disimpan pada sebuah basis data. Data tersebut berupa hasil latih tanding, fisik pemain, teknik pemain, dan absensi pemain. Dari data ini akan diproses melalui sistem pendukung keputusan dan akan menghasilkan nilai setiap pemain. Sistem akan mengurutkan pemain yang memiliki nilai dari yang tertinggi hingga yang terendah. Urutan pemain ini akan membantu pelatih untuk memilih siapa pemain yang masuk kedalam tim PraPON SulSel. Pada tahap uji coba dan evaluasi, program ini dicoba oleh beberapa pelatih dan asisten pelatih PraPON SulSel guna memastikan bahwa program telah berjalan sesuai dengan kebutuhan sistem. Kesimpulan dari pembuatan sistem pendukung keputusan ini adalah sistem ini sangat membantu pelatih untuk memilih pemain dan membantu untuk menyimpan setiap data pemain
