Satire on Capitalism in Bertold Brecht’s Caucasian Chalk Circle

In the Caucasian Chalk Circle, Brecht employs satire to lambast rigid convention and conventional legal system. In the Prologue, two groups of peasants are disputing over the ownership of a piece of land. The dispute is settled shockingly. The original owners of the land relinquish their possession because the other group can make a better use of the land. The decision is ridiculous and cannot be accepted in capitalist country. But Brecht is clever enough to subdue the feeling of disappointment of the spectators. He employs satiric humor to make unnatural decision felt natural. The wedding of Grusha, the protagonist of the play, and a dying man evokes our laughter but the intention is to criticize and scorn capitalist religion. Satire continues when Azdak is made judge. He coins his verdicts in contradictory to conventional legal system. Victims of crime are punished and fined while the perpetrators are set free. The analysis applies qualitative research method as generated by Koul (1984), and Herbert (1990). Pengaruh Penerapan Angaran Berbasis Kinerja dan Pengendalian Intern terhadap Kinerja Keuangan Pemerintah Daerah Kota Pekanbaru

This study aimed to examine the effect of the application of Performance-Based Budgeting and Financial Performance Against Internal Control in the regional work units in the city of Pekanbaru. Research carried out on 32 working units in the city of Pekanbaru in 2015. The samples were used as respondents are taken using the method of sampling proposive. Each population represented by three respondents, namely the head SKPD, head of sub-department of finance and Head of Program. Questionnaires were distributed to 96 respondents, and successfully recovered the complete answer is obtained from 75 respondents. Data were collected from 75 respondents further data were analyzed with SPSS version 17.0 using descriptive statistical analysis and multiple linear regression analysis to produce the classic assumption test, model of data analysis, coefficient of determination and prove the hypothesis. Analisis Kesesuaian Ekowisata Pantai Dan Bahari Di Pesisir Perairan Tanjung Kelapa Desa Poopoh Taman Nasional Bunaken

This research aims to analyze the suitability of coastal and marine ecotourism in the waters of Tanjung (Tj) Kelapa, Poopoh Village, Bunaken National Park (TN). The research was conducted from January to March 2022 in the coastal waters of Poopoh Village, Tombariri District, Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi Province. This research uses the tourism suitability matrix analysis method. The data is taken from literature studies and direct field data measurements, displayed in the form of tables, graphs and images and processed by mathematical calculations for tourism suitability assessment. The research was conducted at 8 research stations, 2 research stations for beach recreation category, 2 research stations for snorkeling tourism category and 4 research stations for diving tourism category. The results showed that the suitability of tourism at the beach recreation research station was in the suitable category and very suitable, the snorkeling tour station was in the suitable category and at the diving tourism station 2 stations were in the suitable category and 2 stations were in the unsuitable category

Penggunaan Media Permainan Ular Tangga untuk Meningkatkan Prestasi Belajar Siswa pada Pokok Bahasan Hidrokarbon di Kelas XI SMA As-shofa Pekanbaru

Research on the use of media game snakes and ladders have been done to find out how it affect the student achievement on the topic of Hydrocarbon in class XI IPA SMA As-Shofa Pekanbaru. This kind of research is experiment research with randomized control group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of two classes, namely class XI IPA-3 as the experimental class and class XI IPA-2 as a controls class, it randomly selected after normality test and homogeneity test. Experimental class is a class that was treated by learning using media game of snakes and ladders, while the control class is a class that is not treated using media game of snakes and ladders. Data analysis technique is the t-test. Based on the final calculation result obtained tvalue is 2.70 is greater than ttable is 1.67 with an increase in the use of media influence a game of snakes and ladders to student achievement is 16.84%, so it can be concluded that the use of the media game of snakes and ladders can improve the student's achievement on the subject of hydrocarbons in class XI Science high School-As Shofa Pekanbaru

Faktor yang Berpengaruh terhadap Pendapatan dan Pengeluaran Nelayan Payang Jurung di Selat Madura

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui karakteristik ekonomi rumah tangga nelayan payang jurung dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pendapatan melaut dan pengeluaran rumah tangga untuk peningkatan kesejahteraan nelayan Selat Madura ,khususnya di Lekok. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisa deksrpitif kualitatif dan deksriptif kuantitatif menggunakan regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian adalah faktor yang berpengaruh nyata terhadap pendapatan melaut adalah nilai aset kapal , daya mesin kapal , dan pengalaman melaut. Sedangkan faktor yang berpengaruh nyata terhadap pengeluaran rumah tangga nelayan adalah pendapatan melaut, pendapatan non melaut, jumlah keluarga, pendidikan. Ada dua faktor yang digunakan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan nelayan, yaitu faktor internal dan faktor eksternal. Faktor internal yaitu menambah jumlah aset kapal dan daya mesin kapal agar nelayan mampu ekspansi tempat penangkapan dari perairan selat Madura. Faktor eksternal yaitu pengembangan alternatif mata pencaharian (AMP) nelayan payang jurung di Selat Madura

Kajian Ekonomi Rumah Tangga Nelayan Payang di Selat Madura, Jawa Timur

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis: (1) Karakteristik nelayan pada alat tangkap payang di Selat Madura, (2) Faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap pendapatan melaut pada ekonomi rumah tangga nelayan, (3) Faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap nilai pengeluaran pada ekonomi rumah tangga nelayan, (4) Peluang kemiskinan akibat faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kemiskinan nelayan. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini, yaitu nelayan dengan alat tangkap payang di Selat Madura menggunakan simple random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Karakteristik nelayan berdasarkan umur sekitar 39,39% pada umur 41-50 tahun, sedangkan tingkat pendidikan nelayan didominasi pada tingkat sekolah dasar (SD) dengan prosentase 63,64%. Berdasarkan pengalaman melaut, sekitar 39,4% pada kisaran 21-30 tahun sedangkan untuk jumlah anggota keluarga nelayan didominasi tidak lebih dari tiga orang dengan prosentase 54,55%. Sedangkan status istri nelayan yang bekerja sekitar 45,45%, (2) Faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap pendapatan melaut adalah pendidikan nelayan, pengalaman melaut, dan daya mesin, (3) Sedangkan faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap pengeluaran rumah tangga nelayan adalah jumlah anggota keluarga, (4) Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi peluang kemiskinan nelayan adalah umur nelayan, pendidikan, dan pengalaman melaut. Bertambahnya umur nelayan akan meningkatkan peluang kemiskinan, namun meningkatnya faktor pendidikan nelayan dan pengalaman melaut akan menurunkan peluang kemiskinan dalam rumah tangga nelayan. Pemanfaatan Limbah Ampas Tebu menjadi Briket

Desa Sukolilo Kabupaten Malang dikenal sebagai sentra industri gula merah dengan bahan utama tebu. Tebu yang digunakan biasanya hanya berupa air perasannya saja sehingga menyisakan sisa berupa kulit tebu yang biasanya hanya dibakar untuk membersihkannya. Hal ini menyebabkan banyaknya limbah ampas tebu yang tidak termanfaatkan. Oleh karena itu tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu untuk memanfaatkan ampas kulit tebu menjadi bahan yang memiliki nilai guna yakni dengan membuat briket dari bahan utama ampas kulit tebu
