The dynamic characteristics of rain fade slope are one of the important factors in the determination of the earth-to-space communication system availability. It is also useful in the design of the fade countermeasures. This paper investigates the rain fade slope which is one of the main features of fade dynamics with 0.1s, 0.5s, 1s, 2s, 5s and 10s sampling time intervals. The rain fade slope model proposed by the ITU-R was compared with the corresponding statistics obtained from rain attenuation data measured using MEASAT3 downlink at Ku-band in Malaysia during May 2010 – June 2011. Significant discrepancies have been observed between the measured fade slope data and that predicted by the ITU-R prediction model with different sampling time interval

Influence of Socio-demographic Variables on Prevalence of Hypertension in Lahore Division, Pakistan

Hypertension is a growing public health issue at global level and it is considered as a potent factor for cardiovascular ailments. But various socio-demographic factors are root causes to provoke this physiological disorder. In current study, through cross sectional survey, performa based data of 100 persons was collected from cities Lahore division, Pakistan. The results showed that males are more suffering than females and fall in age range of 20-40yrs. Most frequently reported initial symptoms are fatigue, irregular heartbeat and difficulty in breathing. Whereas district wise comparison indicated higher prevalence level in Lahore and Kasur than Shiekhupura and Nankana Sahib.   Similarly, ANOVA results highlighted that economic status matters the most, parallel to the extent of awareness among masses, that’s why; mediocre is suffering more than upper or lower class. Thus cost effective treatments based findings should be our future goal to control this growing disease

The molecular structure of the title compound, C16H11BrN2O4S, is very similar to that of the previously reported fluoro analogue [al-Rashida et al. (2010 ▶). Acta Cryst. E66, o2707]. The mean planes of the bicyclic chromone system and the benzene ring of the benzothiadiazine derivative make a dihedral angle of 58.23 (8)°. An intramolecular N—H⋯O hydrogen bond occurs. In the crystal, molecules are linked into layers by N—H⋯O and C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds, generating an infinite two-dimensional network

Design and analysis of triple-band microstrip patch antenna with h-shaped slots

    Get PDF
Multi-band antennas are very important in many application systems such as mobile phone jammer. A new shape triple-band microstrip antenna is proposed in this paper. By embedding h-shaped slots placed in the centre of a microstrip patch, the triple-band character can be achieved. Procedures to select the length and location of the h-shaped slots were discussed in detail. The required antenna gain, input impedance, radiation pattern and return losses were achieved

In the title compound, C16H11FN2O4S, the mean planes of the bicyclic chromone system and of the benzene ring of the benzothiadiazine derivative make a dihedral angle of 54.28 (5)°. An intramolecular N—H⋯O hydrogen bond occurs. In the crystal, molecules are linked into layers by N—H⋯O and C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds, generating an infinite two-dimensional network
