COOPERATIVE MOVEMENTS SETTING EXAMPLE FOR CLASSIC TEAMWORKS OF COUNTRYSIDES IN TRANSYLVANIA

    Get PDF
Cooperative movements assured economic welfare of villages, led them to the way of becoming real citizens in the first half of the XXth century. By that period we can say that for improving competitivity advancing coops, and their social role is necessary. In an active coop continuous modernization is needed. This is due to global challenges and multinational companies, and also smaller dominant ones. This is why Hangya cooperative organisations are to be remembered for being the first in the Carpatian basin from the late 19th century. Manufacturers can realize their interests by building their own organizations. This is the cooperation of separate farmers, today dealing with very complicated transnational organizations. Realizing these may be the way to improve livings in the countryside, especially in the agriculture. Joining the following forms of groups is a unique and necessary way to reach these. By this the conclusion is: there must be an integrated network system for production branches controlled by coops with cooperative tenets in Transylvania. For this historical examples of helping farmers remain separate, reach markets must be known and adopted into today’s circumstances.Cooperatives of Transylvania, Judiciary bases, Improving competitiveness, Integrated product channel, Security of income, Community/Rural/Urban Development, Industrial Organization,

Continuum EoS for QCD with Nf=2+1 flavors

    Get PDF
We report on a continuum extrapolated result [arXiv:1309.5258] for the equation of state (EoS) of QCD with Nf=2+1N_f=2+1 dynamical quark flavors. In this study, all systematics are controlled, quark masses are set to their physical values, and the continuum limit is taken using at least three lattice spacings corresponding to temporal extents up to Nt=16N_t=16. A Symanzik improved gauge and stout-link improved staggered fermion action is used. Our results are available online [ancillary file to arXiv:1309.5258].Comment: Conference proceedings, 7 pages, 4 figures. Static quark-antiquark pair free energy and screening masses: continuum results at the QCD physical point

    Get PDF
We study the correlators of Polyakov loops, and the corresponding gauge invariant free energy of a static quark-antiquark pair in 2+1 flavor QCD at finite temperature. Our simulations were carried out on NtN_t = 6, 8, 10, 12, 16 lattices using a Symanzik improved gauge action and a stout improved staggered action with physical quark masses. The free energies calculated from the Polyakov loop correlators are extrapolated to the continuum limit. For the free energies we use a two step renormalization procedure that only uses data at finite temperature. We also measure correlators with definite Euclidean time reversal and charge conjugation symmetry to extract two different screening masses, one in the magnetic, and one in the electric sector, to distinguish two different correlation lengths in the full Polyakov loop correlator. Guidebook How to develop a Sustainable Energy Action Plan (SEAP) in South Mediterranean Cities

    Get PDF
This guidebook is adapted to the South Mediterranean context from the Joint Research Centre’s (JRC) guidebook "How to develop a Sustainable Energy Action Plan", developed in 2010 to support the implementation of the Covenant of Mayors (CoM) initiative in European cities. Through the CES-MED project, the European Union has opened the CoM initiative to local authorities of ten southern Mediterranean countries (Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Syria and Tunisia). The purpose of this guidebook is to make energy efficiency and climate change mitigation measures relevant, achievable and compelling to local authorities in the southern Mediterranean context. Ultimately, it aims to enhance the competitiveness of municipalities and ensure their economic development while reducing dependence on energy imports and fossil fuels through the implementation of energy efficiency, renewable energy and other well-planned climate change mitigation actions at the local level. The guidebook provides detailed, step-by-step guidance to local authorities in southern Mediterranean countries to develop an effective Sustainable Energy Action Plan (SEAP). The process has four phases: initiation, planning, implementation, and monitoring and reporting. The choice and sequence of actions can vary according to the policies and measures already in place. This flexibility allows local authorities to develop a SEAP coherent with and effective for their local circumstances and objectives.JRC.F.7-Renewables and Energy Efficienc

QCD transition temperature: full staggered result

    Get PDF
We conclude our investigations on the QCD cross-over transition temperatures with 2+1 staggered flavours and one-link stout improvement. We extend our previous two studies [Phys. Lett. B643 (2006) 46, JHEP 0906:088 (2009)] by choosing even finer lattices (N_t=16) and we work again with physical quark masses. These new results [for details see JHEP 1009:073,2010] support our earlier findings. We compare them with the published results of the hotQCD collaboration. All these results are confronted with the predictions of the Hadron Resonance Gas model and Chiral Perturbation Theory for temperatures below the transition region. Our results can be reproduced by using the physical spectrum. The findings of the hotQCD collaboration can be recovered only by using a distorted spectrum. This analysis provides a simple explanation for the observed discrepancy in the transition T between our and the hotQCD collaborations.Comment: presented at the XXVIII. We report on a continuum extrapolated result (arXiv:1309.5258) for the equation of state (EoS) of QCD with Nf=2+1N_f=2+1 dynamical quark flavors and discuss preliminary results obtained with an additional dynamical charm quark (Nf=2+1+1N_f=2+1+1). For all our final results, the systematics are controlled, quark masses are set to their physical values, and the continuum limit is taken using at least three lattice spacings corresponding to temporal extents up to Nt=16N_t=16.Comment: Conference proceedings: The 32nd International Symposium on Lattice Field Theory - Lattice 2014, June 23-28, 2014, Columbia University, New York, New Yor

Sustainable Energy Portfolios for Small Island States

    Get PDF
The study presents a cost effective electricity generation portfolio for six island states for a 20-year period (2015-2035). The underlying concept investigates whether adding sizeable power capacities of renewable energy sources (RES) options could decrease the overall costs and contribute to a more sustainable, indigenous electricity generation at the same time. Often, island states rely on fossil fuels which apart from dependence on foreign resources also includes an additional, significant transport cost. This is an extra motive to study the extent in which island states represent primary locations for RES technologies. For the aims of the present study an optimization model has been developed and following numerous runs the obtained results show that installing PV and battery capacities can delay-reduce the huge investments in fossil options in early periods. Thus, investment on RES can have a positive, long-term effect on the overall energy mix. This prompt development can happen without adding new subsidies but there is a need to address the existing socio-economic barriers with intelligent design of financing and economic instruments and capacity building as discussed in the conclusions.JRC.F.7-Renewables and Energy Efficienc

A szteroidok elnevezése, felosztása és az emberi stresszfekélyek. Selye János 70 éve megjelent történelmi jelentőségű cikkei

    Get PDF
Absztrakt Selye János (Hans Selye) nevét főleg a biológiai stresszreakcióval kapcsolatban ismerik világszerte, és még szakmai körökben is kevesen tudják, hogy Selye sok más felfedezést is tett: Selyét a szteroidok a stresszreakció miatt foglalkoztatták, hiszen tudta, hogy az adaptációs folyamatban a mellékvesekéreg hormonjai kulcsszerepet játszanak. Selye állította fel körülbelül 70 éve a szteroidok máig is ismert csoportosítását három tény alapján: a) a csoportnevek a szteroidokat termelő szervektől származnak (például a kortikoidok a mellékvesekéreg ’cortex’-ből, a tesztoid/anabolikus szteroidok a tesztiszből); b) logikus molekulaszerkezeti képleteken alapultak (például az összes kortikoid 21 szénatomos pregnanszármazék); c) élettani hatásuk csoporton belül azonos. Orv. Hetil., 2015, 156(35), 1406–1414
