Demosaicing of Color Images by Accurate Estimation of Luminance

    Get PDF
Digital cameras acquire color images using a single sensor with Color filter Arrays. A single color component per pixel is acquired using color filter arrays and the remaining two components are obtained using demosaicing techniques. The conventional demosaicing techniques existent induce artifacts in resultant images effecting reconstruction quality. To overcome this drawback a frequency based demosaicing technique is proposed. The luminance and chrominance components extracted from the frequency domain of the image are interpolated to produce intermediate demosaiced images. A novel Neural Network Based Image Reconstruction Algorithm is applied to the intermediate demosaiced image to obtain resultant demosaiced images. The results presented in the paper prove the proposed demosaicing technique exhibits the best performance and is applicable to a wide variety of images

Requirements analysis in the implementation of integrated PLM, ERP and CAD systems

    Get PDF
Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system implementation is a major investment when the technology is used in manufacturing companies. This paper provides an analysis of the requirements for the integration of PLM systems with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems incorporating the design aspects of Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing (CAD/CAM) within the product development process. PLM implementation deals with various existing product data and information generated over years both from CAD and ERP systems. Data integration is very challenging and has important impact on future decisions while creating new processes. The information management plays very important role not only in PLM implementation but also in the way this will be used in future production. Therefore it is very important to analyse how product information is transferred to PLM system. It also need to be investigated that what, when and how the data will flow from and to PLM systems

QUANTIFICATION OF ANTICOAGULANTS DABIGATRAN, RIVAROXABAN, AND PRASUGREL BY CHROMATOGRAPHIC AND SPECTROMETRIC TECHNIQUES – REVIEW

    Get PDF
A review is presented on different analytical techniques used for quantitative analysis of selected anticoagulants dabigatran, rivaroxaban, and prasugrel. Efforts have been made to collate all the relevant references to the extent possible. The review discusses the advantages and disadvantages of the cited analytical techniques, which will help to give insights into the methods used for estimation of selected anticoagulants such as dabigatran, rivaroxaban, and prasugrel, from clinical isolates, and its dosage forms. The review highlights the basic as well as advanced techniques performed for estimating dabigatran, rivaroxaban, and prasugrel. The techniques illustrated here have been demonstrated to be useful for quantitative determination of selected anticoagulants and may find application in analyzing other related properties

Detection of Reliable Software Using SPRT on Interval Domain Data

    Get PDF
In Classical Hypothesis testing volumes of data is to be collected and then the conclusions are drawn which may take more time. But, Sequential Analysis of statistical science could be adopted in order to decide upon the reliable / unreliable of the developed software very quickly. The procedure adopted for this is, Sequential Probability Ratio Test (SPRT). In the present paper we proposed the performance of SPRT on Interval domain data using Weibull model and analyzed the results by applying on 5 data sets. The parameters are estimated using Maximum Likelihood Estimatio

A Multi-layer Routing Protocol for Mobility Management in Wireless Mesh Networks

    Get PDF
AbstractIn the recent trends, Wireless Mesh networks are proven to be one of the emerging fields in the wireless networks. WMNs comprises of Gateways (GWs), Mesh Clients (MCs) and Mesh Routers (MRs). However, it is challenging job to provide seamless connectivity when MC moves around the network. The recent advances in the field of wireless technology created a chance to overwhelmed the disadvantages of wired and wireless networks. The mobility management in the WMNs motivated the researchers to concentrate. In this paper, we are proposing a model called as multi-layer routing protocol for WMNs. This protocol works with the data link layer and network layer for data frame transmission. The proposed algorithm is implemented with intra domain for experimental evaluation. The experimental results show the effectiveness of the routing protocol

Total Hip Arthroplasty - over 100 years of operative history

    Get PDF
Total hip arthroplasty (THA) has completely revolutionized the nature in which the arthritic hip is treated, and is considered to be one of the most successful orthopaedic interventions of its generation. With over 100 years of operative history, this review examines the progression of the operation from its origins, together with highlighting the materials and techniques that have contributed to its development. Knowledge of its history contributes to a greater understanding of THA, such as the reasons behind selection of prosthetic materials in certain patient groups, while demonstrating the importance of critically analyzing research to continually determine best operative practice. Finally, we describe current areas of research being undertaken to further advance techniques and improve outcomes

Image Automatic Categorisation using Selected Features Attained from Integrated Non-Subsampled Contourlet with Multiphase Level Sets

    Get PDF
A framework of automatic detection and categorization of Breast Cancer (BC) biopsy images utilizing significant interpretable features is initially considered in discussed work. Appropriate efficient techniques are engaged in layout steps of the discussed framework. Different steps include 1.To emphasize the edge particulars of tissue structure; the distinguished Non-Subsampled Contourlet (NSC) transform is implemented. 2. For the demarcation of cells from background, k-means, Adaptive Size Marker Controlled Watershed, two proposed integrated methodologies were discussed. Proposed Method-II, an integrated approach of NSC and Multiphase Level Sets is preferred to other segmentation practices as it proves better performance 3. In feature extraction phase, extracted 13 shape morphology, 33 textural (includes 6 histogram, 22 Haralick’s, 3 Tamura’s, 2 Graylevel Run-Length Matrix,) and 2 intensity features from partitioned tissue images for 96 trained image

Software Reliability Using SPRT: Burr Type III Process Model

    Get PDF
Increased dependence on software systems elicited the assessment of their reliability, a crucial task in software development. Effective tools and mechanisms are required to facilitate the assessment of software reliability. Classical approaches like hypothesis testing are significantly time consuming as the conclusion can only be drawn after collecting huge amounts of data. Statistical method such as Sequential Analysis can be applied to arrive at a decision quickly. This paper implemented Sequential Probability Ratio Test (SPRT) for Burr Type III model based on time domain data. For this, parameters were estimated using Maximum Likelihood Estimation to apply SPRT on five real time software failure datasets borrowed from different software projects. The results exemplify that the adopted model has given a rejection decision for the used datasets
